>> katie: wilde, my family fought in the american revolution against the british but this interview has e fight against the crown and the queen beer there are allegations made about the royal family. there was not a lot of evidence. if you're going to accuse people about being worried about the skin color of your son you should be naming names. i want to say a few things about queen elizabeth, her name is been dragged through the mud. she is the only queen to have served and the only family member to have served in the armed forces. she's only living head of state that is served in world war ii. she paid for her wedding dress during world war ii with the ration coupons. if you contrast that to this interview where meghan markle is claiming she wants to get back to normalcy while not talking about the plight of anybody over the past year with covid-19, it's hard for me to believe they are the victims in this. there is a lot more questions i have done answers about the three day ceremony ahead of the real televised ceremony. and a lot of what she said should be fact-checked and proven if she's going to make these outrageous claims. if they are true they are horrible. if they are not thoughts also a problem. >> you know one of the thoughts i have come a kennedy come about the lack of names during the interview was you know, i would imagine when you are royal -- i don't know, i'm only regal in my own house. basically in my own head. but you probably have an nda situation. maybe they call it something different. but if you're going to call somebody by name your better have those big receipts like you get at cvs where they span your height. because without receipts and evidence, i imagine the penalties are pretty great. >> i thought that she really buried some critical information about her mental health, especially during the pregnancy but that such a critically important issue that i don't understand why that is not to h. people who are living in palaces who lived off of billions of dollars from the public trust. and from the duchy of cornwall, which is prince charles' estate, where he gets hundreds of millions of dollars. we know prince harry got $20 million when his mother died. there's so much money here it's hard to pity them. she could have raised a critical issue, which is how women suffer during pregnancy. even when they are not in a palace. i would've liked her to have spoken more about that. i think the missed opportunity for oprah winfrey and a couple of levels. i thought her follow-up questions were really bad. i bet she had to go to the doctor with shoulder pain from lobbing all of those softballs to her friend. >> brian: a couple of things. she was now protected -- she felt like the crown could have protected her or the firm could've protected her from bad media. the two is she said harry said some but he said that to her about the color of the skin of the baby. you can't throw that out, blame it on -- or say it came from your husband or your husband saying i'm not saying anything except that it was not the queen or my grandfather or grandmother or my dad. so that is a huge accusation, which really encompasses everybody on the royal family. i thought that was unbelievable. they are going to have plenty of money the rest of their lives, i just don't know what the point of that interview was come except to get their side of the story out. nobody is asking in the middle of the pandemic when your grandfather is in the hospital. i don't really know that the timing was right if they couldn't have held that back. >> he wasn't even mentioned. i did think that was interesting. emily, last word? >> everyone here makes great points. i think the trauma that prince harry has gone through, i would think it is unimaginable. i also can't imagine meghan markle's journey as she joined that royal family and her situation there. that being said to come i think all of the arguments and allegations of this interview being tone-deaf on multiple levels and also in ill use of the platform that they remain having are well-founded. >> it will be interesting to see how the palace or the firm or whoever is going to issue a statement and what they say. okay, good news is on the way if you are a fan of whiskey. why your favorite bottle may get a little less expensive. ♪ ♪ i'll be observing your safe-driving abilities. play your cards right, and you could be in for a tasty discount.
