Also, the county election bureau is seeking poll workers for several voting districts in the primary.
At a remote meeting Tuesday, the county board of elections approved placing ballot drop boxes inside the city halls of Hazleton, Nanticoke and Pittston for the primary
There will also be a drop box in the lobby of the Penn Place building in Wilkes-Barre, as there was for last Novemberâs general election.
The additional drop boxes will allow voters throughout the county to drop off ballots without the need to drive to Wilkes-Barre, deputy election director Eryn Harvey said.
The drop boxes will be inside the municipal building of each city and will be bolted in place, Harvey said. Sheriffâs deputies will retrieve ballots placed in the boxes and transport them to the election bureau in the Penn Place building, she said.
