Politicians, artists, scientists, business and cultural leaders are among the Manitobans to be honoured with the Order of Manitoba later this year.
Twelve Manitobans will receive the Order of Manitoba, the province’s highest honour, at a ceremony at the Manitoba Legislative Building that because of the COVID-19 pandemic is tentatively scheduled for July 15.

“The exceptional women and men to be invested into the Order of Manitoba serve to inspire us all and reinforce that each of us has the power to make a difference,” said chancellor of the order Lt.-Gov. Janice C. Filmon in a press release. “These individuals truly exemplify resiliency, adaptability and leadership, and they are all most worthy of acknowledgement and acclaim. We are proud to celebrate the passion and leadership of these great Manitobans.”
