Rugby league great Garry Jack has opened up about his miracle survival after a massive heart attack which left him clinically dead for eight minutes.
The former Balmain Tigers and Australian fullback said the last thing he remembers was warming up for a jui jitsu class - with his longtime friend and coach responsible for saving his life.
Thanks to the quick actions and training of his mates, the 100 per cent blockage in Jack's left main artery, known as a 'widow-maker', did not leave him with brain damage despite having no pulse or oxygen for a normally lethal period.
