Rugby league great Garry Jack has opened up about his miracle survival after a massive heart attack which left him clinically dead for eight minutes.
The former Balmain Tigers and Australian fullback said the last thing he remembers was warming up for a jui jitsu class - with his longtime friend and coach responsible for saving his life.
Thanks to the quick actions and training of his mates, the 100 per cent blockage in Jack s left main artery, known as a widow-maker , did not leave him with brain damage despite having no pulse or oxygen for a normally lethal period.
