UM Reports 'Dramatic Increase' of COVID-19 Cases
The University of Miami reported a "dramatic increase" of COVID-19 cases and has since canceled large student gatherings and closed fraternity houses for 10 days.
In a prepared video statement, the UM President Julio Frenk did not give a specific number of cases but expressed concern about positivity rates among Greek organizations.
Classes are still in session and athletics will continue -- but no fans can participate.
