Florida's unemployment rate ticked up a tenth of a percent from May to June.
The state Department of Economic Opportunity announcing Friday that the monthly jobless rate was 5.0 percent. That's down 6.6 percent from a year ago, as 523,000 Floridians remain unemployed.
Monroe County had the state's lowest jobless rate at 3.5 percent. Hendry and Putnam Counties are tied for the highest rate at 7.6 percent.
