First Carolina Bank completes construction project

The saying “Success breeds success” can apply to a Rocky Mount-based community financial institution having opened a new stand-alone corporate administration building adjacent to the present main banking building along North Winstead Avenue.
First Carolina Bank hired Smithson Inc. to build the structure on the immediate north side of the property and the construction project started in January and was complete by the end of October.
“We’ve almost doubled the size of the company in the last 15 months,” First Carolina President and CEO Ron Day told the Telegram. “That has been because people still want to do business with people that they know that can be responsive — and not talk to a 1-800 number, get their business serviced by people that execute well for ‘em.”
