CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - After several delays, Charleston city officials say the new fire station on Savannah Highway will soon be complete.
The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Director, Jason Kronsberg, says the exact date is still unknown. But he says they are talking to the contractor at least once a week now in an effort to open the long-awaited fire station.
Station 11, which is on Savannah Highway in West Ashley, is being built next to the Charleston 9 Memorial Park.
