Firefighters fought a Sunday afternoon blaze at an apartment building in Point Pleasant Beach, officials said.
When fire chiefs first arrived at the Beacon Gardens Apartments, off Route 35, smoke was seen coming from a second-floor window, the Ocean Fire Company in town said in a statement.
According to the company, the fire then started shooting from apartment windows. Fire crews from the town’s two fire companies responded, along with the Point Pleasant Borough fire department and a company from Wall Township.
No injuries were reported. The fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m.
