MANCHESTER - A woman’s dog has perished in an accidental house fire on Tern Court that was “the result of improperly discarded smoking material,” according to Lt. Vincent Manco, a police department spokesman.
The blaze in the Pine Ridge at Crestwood neighborhood was reported at 11:39 p.m. Friday. When officers from the Manchester Police Department arrived, they observed that the fire had already engulfed a large portion of the home with visible flames emanating from a rear door, Manco said.
“The family dog was unable to escape and perished in the fire,” he said.
