More than 6,000 people from afghanistan, nearly 16,000 from morey tina, 1600 from pakistan and nearly 700 from iran. Border patrol arresting more than 150 people on the terrorist watch list since october of last year. Joe, we talked about this wide open border all the time, and this is why. We have a war on israel by terrorists from the middle east and we have middle eastern terrorists coming into the open border. Youve been reporting since before 9 11. Remember what happened after 9 11 and so many in the media saying why cant we connect the dots, how did these people infiltrate this country. That wasnt so many people, 17, 18, 19 terrorists. Were talking across the border alone 659 apprehensions from iran, we have 538 from syria, 164 from lebanon of these are the ones who are approbedded. What apprehended. What about those that havent been apprehended. When the next 9 11 happens, i dont want to hear about how did we not connect the dots. The Administration Needs to address the border and stop blaming republicans and saying well, donald trump gave us a broken border system. Give me a break. Maria this is really serious, cheryl. Youve got a good portion of illegals coming into the border from terrorist hot spots like syria and pack p stan. Now we have the pakistan, now we have the numbers. Whats happening in gaza right now, before last weekends attack, 18,000 laborers a day were leaving gaza and going into israel to work and going back to gaza. Now yes realize they were going across the border and doing intelligence gathering. Who is to say thats not happening in is the country with the wide open southern border, whether from china or the middle east or from other parts of the world, other countries that would love to see harm come to the United States of america like 9 11, to your point. Also, the political side of this with the president , maria, because in the wall street journal its called look who is building a border wall now, thats the editorial by james riley. He points to even in new york, even in you blue state like new york, the disapproval ratings of joe biden are now higher than the approval ratings. The southern border, the immigration issue is becoming a political problem for joe biden. So its a security problem. Its also a political problem. Maria thats why last week suddenly we get a flipflop that mayorkas says theres an acute emergency at the border which requires a border wall. Its just incredible. This is the reason that we focus even on the chinese nationals coming through. These are all military aged men. We need to recognize that they very well could be directed by xi jinping to become s saboteurs whenever he wants. They get jobs, they work, and suddenly theyre called up and theyre called to action. Incredible to think the New York Times called the border wall trumps tribute to white supremacy, right . Maria unbelievable. And biden comes out and says we actually need a wall. Not a peep. Not a peep out of the New York Times or Washington Post or any of the Mainstream Media editorials criticizing mr. Biden for building a wall which by the way is only going to be 20 miles. Trump wanted to build a whole while. You biden says we need 20 miles. The whole thing is so bungled. Maria look where we are now. Weve got americans dead. Weve got hostages, american hostages, hamas and hezbollah causing death had and destruction in israel and we know that according to bill melugin, 150 people were caught at the bore doctor who were either from syria or pakistan. How do we know who they are . One of the lessons we learned from 9 11 is those Saudi Arabian terrorists were here, they were going to flight schools, living among us. 9 11, you can say we were not learning from history, were not i dont want to repeat the same mistakes this country made for 9 11. Thats what concerns me about the southern border in particular and how sometimes security and intelligence operations they fail. Ask the israelis this morning how theyre feeling about why they were so caught off guard by what happened to them. We were caught off guard with 9 11. Maria these are the ones we know of, the ones we know of that bill melugin is reporting are from syria, iraq, iran, afghanistan a, coming into america. Theres a reason why President Biden has not done one solo press conference on u. S. Soil since last november because maybe, just maybe, hell be askbeasked about this, by fox, anyway, the Mainstream Media doesnt want to ask about it. When jake kirby or anybody in charge or a spokesman or in charge of security needs to be asked about this and say what are you going to do about this because we saw what happened in israel, we saw what happened on 9 11, this could happen again unless this is addressed immediately. Cheryls right, its a top three issue going into the campaign, its going to be economy, immigration and foreign policy. Thats what this comes down to. Immigration is 14 right now in the latest sienna poll. Theres a lot of talk from republicans about getting funding for border control. If you dont have an administration that is committed to border control, it doesnt matter what Congress Actually approves, the money is not going to be used. Maria theyre using the money to create more housing for the people coming in. Okay. The border does not need money. The border needs policy changes. Correct. Maria so the Biden Administration comes in they overturn all of trumps border policies in executive orders, in week one. Its not money theyre asking for for the border. Theyre asking for policy changes. Theyre creating more housing and more benefits for illegals coming in. Thats why new york city mayor eric adams went down there, hes asking for federal funding to deal with the crisis in the city, we learned the mayor of chicago is planning a trip to see for himself what is happening. You have blue city mayors and the governor of illinois as well who are screaming from the rafters, we cant take this on, a financial hit the cities and states cant take. Maria were not hearing a peep from democrats who supported a wide open border. Bill melugin tweets that 2019 Rashida Tlaib got emotional talking about children being separated from their families at the border. No tears for israel. Maria no comment about the savage Group Cutting heads off. I cant even fathom. I mean, just maria really maddening. Is that palestinian flag still outside her office . Id like to know. Why is hillary the only reporter following Rashida Tlaib. You ill tell you why, joe. Fox is the only News Organization that has the guts to go after these people and call them out. Do you think the squad cares that President Biden pretty much call them out yesterday and so did kjp. Maria kjp did a good job yesterday in terms of the response, making it clear, wrong and right. President biden did not mention iran. They are so sensitive about the 6 billion, they are trying so hard to get people to stop raising the fact that they unfreeze that they freed up 6 billion and now they want them to unfreeze the money. Janet yellen was asked about it a couple hours zag j ago. Just to be clear, the Biden Administration freed up 6 billion to iran on 9 11. Were not letting them get away with it. Maria i know. I made that point when it happened, can you imagine hes doing this on september 11. On 9 11 p. And mike pompeo maria insult on top of injury. Mike pompeo, great interview yesterday, explaining that the money hasnt been spent yet, nothings been unfrozen, its a matter of capital that they know the money is coming in. If you know its coming, theyre going to spend it. Maria will the administration freeze the money again . Will they make it hard for them to get their hands on the 6 billion. Theyre not saying no, maria. Yellen was asked the same thing, well, nothing is off the table right now. Maria the war in the middle east entering day five, the first plane carrying u. S. Breaking news out of the middle east this morning, israel is now preparing to move in on gaza territory. Fox news Foreign Correspondent trey yingst is along the border right now y now with the very l. Reporter im going to keep my hand over my ear right now, the Israeli Military is shelling the gaza strip with artillery units and its quite loud. We know that throughout the day the israelis targeted a number of positions in the eastern and northern part of gaza, the military telling us today that more than 3,000 different targets have been hit since saturday morning. Im going to step out of the way and just show you what it looks like as the shelling is taking place. Theyre trying different positions inside the gaza strip ahead of what is expected to be a mass of ive Ground Invasion into gaza. All of this taking place as air raid sirens are sounding in southern central israel. There are concerning developments out of the north where reports indicate hezbollah fired an antitank missile at a group of Israeli Soldiers, they responded with their own artillery and responded with a vair ryvariety of weapons, we understand. So moving forward, this is expected to be quite the battle, a very difficult and challenging one for the israelis but again, you can see here along the border these different artillery position as they continue to strike the gaza strip. Back to you. Maria trey, are there any concerns that this war broadens out even beyond hezbollahs role as well . Reporter yeah, absolutely. This is something that the region really saw as the nightmare scenario, its a situation weve been brief on for years. Could happen but was not the most likely thing to happen. No one could have predicted what took place on saturday morning, this massacre of more than 1200 Israeli Soldiers and civilians. But in terms of hezbollahs involvement, they have thousands of precision guided missiles, they have rockets, artillery of their own and thousands of fighters. Theyll be up against a battle with the israelis if they decide to get into a fullscale war with them. Israel will be pressed as well. Part of the reason they called up 360,000 reserve trips and hundreds of thousands waiting in the wings, because they understand this might not just be a war that takes place from gaza but also one from lebanon and from syria. Maria right. And thats why i was asking the role of other regional actors. What can you tell us about the mobilization of 360,000 reserveists, trey . Do you have any sense of timing in terms of when that ground war begins with those reserveists . So we dont know but what weve seen is had are many units in place, tanks are along the border, these artillery units are active behind us and there are thousands of soldiers. Ill have my cameraman pan here across the highway. You can see a group of soldiers right now and they are likely coming back from some sort of patrol or training, getting ready for whatever sort of operation is ordered into gaza. But scenes like this are all over southern israel. Fields have been turned into bases. Dirt roads have been turned into arteries for the army to deliver supplies and to deliver weapons to their fighters because it is not a question of if israel will go into gaza but rather a question of when. Israeli defense minister has indicated that this is a complete siege on the gaza strip. The israelis are not allowing aid into gaza, despite the humanitarian crisis that is developing there and they say that this will not go on for a short period of time, this is expected to last and they will continue fighting until hamas is destroyed, according to the countrys prime minister, benjamin netanyahu. Maria we reported yesterday, trey, about netanyahu saying they were you cutting everything off in the gaza strip, food, fuel, electricity. How has that played out and what can you tell us in terms of an update on the hostages right now you . President biden last night said that 20 americans are missing. He didnt say all 20 are being held hostage but he said americans are being held hostage and 14 americans are dead. Reporter yes, so the situation in gaza is dire for palestinian civilians. We understand that the death toll reached more than 1,000 there. There are thousands injured. The hospitals are overflowing with patients and dead bodies. And it is a dire situation for the more than 2 Million People that live inside gaza. In terms of aid to get into the strip, the israelis are calling this a complete siege and despite calls from certain countries including egypt and jordan, theyre not going to allow any aid into gaza. There will be around 2 Million People that run out of food and run out of water and theyre already without electricity. And so this is a question you raised about what it means for the humanitarian efforts of International Organizations and for simply for the Palestinian People who live there and what this will mean for them, if they will be allowed out into egypt and thats likely the only scenario that could work and from a humanitarian standpoint one that must take place in order to prevent a high amount of civilian casualties inside gaza. When it comes to the hostages there, nobody knows where they are. That is real her the only way to really the only way to explain it. Theres a network of tunnels and floss way to get intelligence from inside the tunnels. They likely have sources inside gaza and are trying to activate them to get some pieces of information, but not much trickling in. We dont have updates on the hostages. Maria trey, thank you very much of. Trey yingst, please stay safe. We so appreciate your reporting, trey, thank you. Trey yingst is on the border of israel and gaza. Joining me now is senior policy advisor and former Senior Advisor to secretary of state mike pompeo, mary kissel is with us once again. Thank you for being here. Your reaction to what youre hearing and how assess the situation. Thanks very much for having me. Ive got to you say, trey has done some extraordinary reporting on the ground there so it was great to hear him. I think its important that we dont talk about these groups in isolation. There isnt hamas in one place and hezbollah in another, Islamic Jihad in another. Physically they may be in other places but the root of their support rests in one country, iran. So all of these groups are connected. Theyre connected via training, via how theyre equipped with weaponry, intelligence planning. This was a very complex military operation, maria, take was carried out in stages, likely with many, many different cells that didnt know what the other was doing. And while were focusing on and rightly so on the atrocities that have really shocked the world, its also important to note that hamas took territory inside of israel for hours as well as military installations. So that has i think shattered many illusions about the strength of the Israeli Military. Tehran will be watching very closely to see not just the rhetoric out of the white house, but the action. One last note before i throw it back to you, maria, its not just about the 6 billion ransom payment, secretary pompeo told you on sun sunday, its about te multiples of had that, billions and billions of dollars in oil revenue that the regime has so from their point of view, maria, they already accomplished their goal. They killed any chance of israeli saudi, they have taken theattention away from putins , theyre demonstrating to other friends in bay beijing and elsee that the United States first instinct is reconciliation and not to back israel so this is a very dangerous period of time and what happens in the next days i think is going to determine likely the future of the middle east. Maria we spoke with secretary pompeo yesterday. I want to play a sound bite from that. Heres the secretary. I dont think the world has fully taken on board the scale of what took place there and when it does, i think were going to recognize that it is going to be a world thats going to have to respond to this, 11 americans dead. We talked about israel, israel being attacked by hamas. The truth is, the iranians killed americans and i think when this is taken on board this will have economic implications the administration is lying, gas lighting the world saying the 6 billion isnt going to fall into the hands of terrorists and benefit them. We certainly know it will. Maria and now we know that its actually 14 americans dead. The numbers have risen. I want to get your take on the impact on america, mary because weve been talking about the wide open border and bill melugin reported new customs and border be patrol data and a it says that sources say thousands of, quote, unquote, special interest aliens, mostly from middle Eastern Countries have been apprehended by Border Patrol officials, 5 548 syria, 9 from139from yemen these people e been apprehended and we have more than 100 that were on the terrorist watch list. Your reaction . Yeah, its a Serious National Security concern, period be. It shouldnt be happening, it needs to be fixed. It is definitely a danger to our national security, obviously. We need to control our border. But maria, again, just stepping back here, this is a much bigger problem. You have a concert of iran, china, and russia working theaters, israel, ukraine, and elsewhere. That is the challenge that we face. Ive got to say, the Iran Nuclear Deal that was inked during the Obama Administration is starting to look like the munich agreement because it has opened up this appeasement of tehran, has a given a green light to the mullahs to attack israel and lets be clear, in an existential way. Israel is facing a threat here that threatens its very existence. If it doesnt threaten its existence, it threatens to weaken it, to make it a lesser player. Its the only functioning democracy we have on the mediterranean in a strategic location and so i think its easy for some in the United States to say, look, this is happening very far away. Its across an ocean and a continent. Who cares . Lets focus on china. No, we have to focus on it all because its all interconnected. Thats what im telling clients. Getting a lot of calls on this, maria, people saying i thought that the middle east was trending towards stability with the abraham accords, you now im not sure whats going on, what impact does this have on energy markets, are we safe in the United States. Theres a lot of concern here about what can only be called global disorder that hasser hasd because u. S. Deterrence has eroded. We have to reestablish it. We have to esta reestablish ity or the war in israel wont be the only place, whether israel, ukraine, say a sh asia could. I know it sounds alarmist. I dont mean to sound that way p. We have to take it seriously. This is not about an incursion just into israeli territory. Theres a larger global game going on here. Maria mary, real quick. Have your expectations changed in terms of when xi jinping goes into taiwan. If im xi jinping and watching this havoc in the world, knowing that American Leadership is weak and i want to go into taiwan, you want to do it during all of this, right . What are your thoughts there . I wrote a piece two years ago, saying the new global disorder. I wrote it for the spectator. Absolutely, his time line and the opportunity window that opened up for him probably wont come around again any time soon so if hes going to act, i would expect him to do it soon. Maria mary, thank you. Mary kiss l hell joi join kl joining us with those insights. Its time for the word on wall street, top investors watching your money. We want to know how this impacts the markets and economy as well. Joining us is Payne Capital management president and host of payne points of wealth podcast, ryan payne is with us. Also with us all morning is adam johnson. Want to kick things off with you. Look at the market which is know focused on Interest Rates falling back and oil prices coming down. The dow industrials at up 103, nasdaq up 60. Oil prices are lower on cautiousness as markets are watching the war in israel. The journal this morning reporting hamas militants behind the Israeli Attack raised millions of dollars in crypto dated from eliyptic funds, received 93 million in crypto between august 2021 and gunnel of this year. Your thoughts. Mind boggling how many Different Things are happening right now and how the market maria front cover of the journal. How ironic that markets are recovering and that oil is down. Oil is 95 bucks a week ago, today its 85. Bonds, the yield on the 30 year had goten up to 5 . Its now down to 472. Maria the 30 year got up to 7 andahalf percent, the 10 year got close to 5 . Its amazing that were as evenkeeled as we are at the moment in the markets and thank goodness. Maria theres the 30 year many i was talking about mortgage rates. As you mentioned, 4. 73 which had gotten to 5. Thats right i think what were beginning to realize is that the crisis in israel is not a market story. As callus as that sounds. Its a humanitarian story. Its a failure of diplomacy story. And it would i would argue, its most certainly a lack of leadership from the white house story. Again, it almost sounds callus to characterize it as such. Its not a market story but it is certainly all of those other things and i think thats why were seeing oil back off and seeing markets inflate. Maria theres an increasing sentiment that maybe the market is doing the feds job for it because of what youre talking about, the 30 year getting up to 5 or close to it, the 30 year mortgage above 7 andahalf percent, a couple weeks ago, and the 10 year where it is. In other words, the market forced the feds hand. The market said fed, you said youre going to pause but were not so sure those of us in the market so were going to push things to the point where you create maximum pain. The futures traders in chicago told me that 5 on the 30 year bond was the line in the sand. That was the contract high that goes back to 2007. They wanted to see it tested and they tested. They took it from 450 to 5 over the course of about 72 hours. They pushed it. They pushed it three times. It pulled back. And that is, again, what futures traders in chicago told me was what gave everyone else confidence to say okay, weve taken it as far as we can. Maria so the fed takes a pause in the next meeting . I think so, yes. By the way, 8 30 this morning were going to get more inflation data, Producer Prices and cpi, Consumer Prices tomorrow. Theyre both expected to back off which i think gives the fed cover. Maria what about earnings, ryan. U. S. Bank profits are going to be watched for the impact of higher rates, for the impact of a slowing economy. Weve got jp morgan, wells fargo, citigroup expected to report Third Quarter earnings on friday. They should all see positive earnings growth. Thats another reason why markets are starting to turn here is because were starting to focus on earnings season. Jp morgan is going to be up 25 earnings per share, thats what the projected is. It should request a pretty good quarter for banks. Maria explain why the stocks have been crushed recently. We had a big move in Interest Rates. Thats definitely weighing on net interest margins but just everything were saying right now i think is the future here, is if the fed pauses here, they dont raise again and they start cutting the second half of next year, all of a sudden you get that yield curve start to disinvert, thats where banks make money on net interest margins because they dont have to pay on t the depositors. If rates come down, the banks will drop money market funds quickly so this is one of the reasons why ive been saying dont sit in cash at 5 . It sounds so great. As soon as the tide turns and the fed starts to become more doveish with Interest Rate policy all of a sudden youre getting 3 , not 5 . Maria would you buy the banks ahead of earnings, that would be an aggressive move. Its a great move. Theyre dirt cheap right now. Citigroup will give 4 andahalf percent dividend, probably a fantastic time to buy the banks right now. Maria thats a great point. Pretty awesome. Maria do you agree with that, adam. Bank of america is trading at book value. You see that very rarely. Book value, the assets minus liabilities, thats the back stop for a bank. Bank of america is trading at the back stop. Maria what about oil and the deal this morning, exxon mobil and pioneer . Which just underscores maria are you expecting more consolidation in the oil market among the large players given the price of oil . There has been so much consolidation already. Its amazing actually they keep finding another entity to buy. This will create arguably the largest shale producer here in the u. S. What a great story that the Administration Just wont embrace. The fact that we have the ability to produce more oil than anybody in the world right now and yet were tying our hands and the reason exxon is going out and buying pioneer is because its trying to consolidate that ability to produce oil. Its not getting any help from the administration. Maria 60 billion deal. Ryan, its good to see you. Thank you. Maria thank you so much. Adam, sti youre sticking with d were grateful. Breaking news this morning out of the middle east, israel is warning of a threat from lebanon and syria as the war enters a fifth day. Cheryl casone with more details. We continue to follow the developments out of the gaza area. Within the last hour or so, hezbollah is claiming responsibility for rocket fire thats coming from lebanon into northern israel. Reuters is reporting the group firing precision missiles. Idf officials do say they are attacking territory in lebanon, trey yingst reporting that earlier in the hour. All of this coming as a Ground Invasion into gaza could be imminent with israeli tanks and troops amassing along the border and also from the sky. And again, Israeli Air Force fighters earlier this morning bombing the Islamic University of gaza where hamas engineers are trained. Watch this attack. [explosions] we should also add the first plane carrying u. S. Ammo arrived in israel overnight. Fox corporation is supporting the victims of the vicious attacks by donating 1 million to united jewish appeals israel emergency fund. Join fox in supporting that fund, in association with the united jewish appeal, just scan the qr code thats right there, or donate at ujafedny. Org. Well, in other headlines, birkenstock pricing its ipo at 46 per share, the first big test of the appetite for new listing for the market. The price is nearly the middle of the range. They seem to be playing it safe amid choppy markets right now. It values birkenstock at 8. 6 billion. It will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange today, the Ticker Symbol is birk, but as you were discussing earlier in the show, obviously the ipo market especially with Market Action in the last kim weeks a little bit of a choppy day for birkenstock to be debuting. Maria it didnt price at the high end, it priced at the middle of the range. Thank you. President biden failing to mention iran during his remarks on the israeli war yesterday, despite reports detailing how tehran helped the terrorists plot this you brutal attack. There are reports that hamas killed at least 40 babies, some allegedly beheaded. They were found by Israeli Soldiers in a hamas attack village. Hillary vaughn confronted Rashida Tlaib yesterday about hamas brutal at ity and her sut support. They burned children alive. Do you defend israels right to defend themselves. Were going to go through there. You cant comment about Hamas Terrorists chopping off babies heads . Do you condone what hamas has done, cutting off babys heads, raping women in the streets. Silence. Joining me is kentucky senator, rand paul, Ranking Member of the Homeland Security committee, the author of a brandnew book, deception, the great covid coverup. Senator, thank you very much for being here. From Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs committee perspective, assess the war. I have to first assess it as a person who has a great deal of sympathy and horror for whats going on over there. I have three boys. Theyve been to Music Festivals in the country and you think wow, theyre going to have a good time. I cant imagine the young people at the Music Festival and someone shooting unarmed people, women, children, men, unarmed people. What kind of person thinks theyll further their argument by killing innocent civil pans. Im horrified by whats going on. I think that theyre going to get their going to get what they deserve. Thats going to happen b soon. Maria what do you mean . I think israel is going to go in and theres going to be significant punishment such that hamas doesnt have the opportunity to do it again. Maria you have been plant in terms adamant in terms of the 33 trillion in debt that the country face, adamant that colleagues focus on this, stop the reckless spending. Were in a situation that israel needs emergency aid. How will you deal with take, what is your recommendation. Im all for the aid. We had the debate a year ago with democrats. They wanted a billion dollars more for iron dome and i said sure, im for that. Lets take it from a fund that were funding the taliban with. Theres a couple billion dollars, the afghan Reconstruction Fund thats going to the taliban. Maria why are we funding the l taliban. They think if you give money to your enemies it makes it less them an adversary. We give money to the palestinian authority, the plo. Lets fund what israel needs now, lets take it from funds that we send to countries that dont like us. Lets give it to our friends and take it from somewhere else in the budget. That may not make me popular. I insist on this all of the time. If you dont do it, thats why you wind up with 33 trill chronn debt. Maria has the administration commented on the fact that weve been giving money to the palestinian authority. I have these battles all the time. I battled over whether we should still give money to the taliban, give known the palestinians. So years ago i introduced the first bill that would have gotten rid of the martyr payments where people who were blowing themselves up and blowing up israeli civilians were getting payments and it was coming out of a fund the u. S. Government was funding. So i was the first one to introduce that and got rid of some of the payments. Some of the payments are going for the palestinians. Im for eliminating all of the aid to the palestinian authority. Maria we want to know whether or not the u. S. Is in jeopardy. Were talking about thousands of middle easterners coming into america through the wide open southern border. We know weve seen more than 100, 150 people that were apprehended at the border who actually are currently on the terrorist watch list. How safe is america today, in the face of all of this . I think its a big danger for us. Looks like some of them showed up in harvard maybe. But i think that were seeing people from all over the world coming and im someone who thinks we can embrace immigration, im for new people to our country. We have to be careful you about people coming from different areas with different ideas. Used to be people came to our country because they love the country. Then we have congressmen, congresswoman who come to the country and hate what america stands for. Maria were told by the chairman of the Homeland Security committee in the house, mark green, that xi jinping is directing military aged men to eventually become saboteurs ine country. We have to do something to protect ourselves and we cant have an open border and i think we essentially do have an open border now. Maria what do you want to say about whats happening in the house, republican lawmakers will be voting to elect a new speaker of the house at 10 00 a. M. Eastern. How do you think the ukraine funding is playing into that and what is your assessment of the house today . Im a big fan of jim jordan. I support him to be the next speaker. I do think that the idea of whether or not we can keep bore reing money from china to send it to ukraine is a legitimate fiscal issue. I think jim jordan has a more realistic understanding of that we are out of money basically and so i think jim jordan will do a good job. I think hes done a good job of bridging the difference between the conservative right and the moderate part of the caucus. I hope hes gets enough votes to become speaker. Maria you said theres a growing movement criticizing the ukraine aid. What do we know about how the money is being used. 117 republicans voted against sending more money to azythromycin we h money to gain. Azythukraine. We have no special manager. We no there is waste and corruption in ukraine. We know the Biden Administration ah has had some secret reports detailing the waste and corruption there. There hasnt been a public acknowledgement of it. I think we have to be very careful. Ukraine has been on the list of the most corrupt nations. I think we have to be careful. I dont think theres adequate oversight over our money. Maria speaking of waste and fraud, i mean, there was a lot of waste during covid, wasnt there, in terms of money being spewed out into the economy. You have a new book out, deception, the great covid coverup. And this picture of Anthony Fauci with his mask on says it all. Tell us about the book go i became intryinged by this intrigued by this by seeing the private emails by Anthony Fauci and a group of scientists who were saying in 2020 that it looks like the virus was manipulated, were worried because we know in china they were doing gain of function research. And if anybody questions this well call them conspiracy theorists. They were acknowledging in private that in all likelihood the virus came from the lab and they knew gain of function research was going on. In the committee they said we never funded gain of function research in china. He out and out lied which is a felony and if he were a republican or sympathetic to republican causes they would put him in jail like theyve done to Trump Supporters but there seems to be two sets of standards. I referred him to the department of justice, we have the proof, 400 pages worth, going through every detail of what happened. It wasnt just lying to congress, it was the particularly bad judgment of saying this type of research doesnt need to go to the Safety Committee. Theres a Safety Committee that is supposed to go through the safety function. Maria are we not still funding them today . We finally theres a 10 year moratorium on giving money to wuhan. Its taken three years. They continued to send money over the last three years. The group that organized the money, p they are allowed to get money. They refused to cooperate with the nih, refused to the cooperate with any investigation and yet they still get money from nih. Maria theres been no accountability. How are we supposed to trust any of these agencies given what were finding out from the nih to the fbi to the irs. This is a real problem. People lost faith in Public Health doctors such as fauci. It wouldnt have been so bad if he was a Family Doctor in peoria, we could discount him. Because the hold in government was overreaching, we got bad advice filtering through all of society and almost everything he said was a lie, even the masks was a lie. He was telling people privately they didnt work and publicly he was wearing three masks. Maria a doctor wrote senator rand paul has written an eye opening account, with censorship of disagreement and dishonest distortions by Public Health leaders. Sam bankmanfrieds trial is in its sixth day today. Kelly ogrady is outside the courthouse today in new york city. Kelly, good morning. Reporter good morning, maria. Thats right. The prosecutions star witness has taken the stand, that is caroline ellison, she was sam bankmanfrieds on again, off again girlfriend. To be clear, she has pled guilty to fraud charges. Shes was saying sbf was the mastermind behind it all. When she took the stand, it started strangely. Theres a moment where witnesses are asked to identify the defendant. She pointed around, looking for him, couldnt find him. Now, to be fair, he has had a haircut. Perhaps that confused her. She did go on to accuse sbf of directing her to do a number of illegal things including doctoring the Balance Sheet for investors, using customer money to fund loans and investments and when she shared concerns, she claims sam had the spend customer money to make money attitude. She alleged shy was forced to sign loans used for political fleinfluence, sending a 10 miln donation to bidens campaign. She gave him a test of his ego, saying he was interested in politics and talked about wanting to use his money to have influence on politics. He said at one point he thought there was 5 chance he would become president. Weve begun to get details of their relationship, she said working together made things weird and felt he didnt spend enough time with her and would get angry when she shared too much about the close relationship between alameda and sbx with investors. It underscores that sam claims he distanced himself from alameda, he was still her boyfriend and boss. They mentioned witness withs are testifying in exchange for a lower prison sentence, right now, though, we dont have a smoking gun. Its very much he said, she said, who do you believe. Back to you. Maria wow, kelly, great reporting. Kelly, thank you so much. Your reaction, adam . Maria, whatever happened a maria so much there. Oh, my god. Whatever happens to them, they have brought upon themselves of. They knew exactly what they were doing. None of this passes the smell test. Maria the money hes donating to joe bidens campaign, the need or desire to become influential with his money in terms of politics. Ego run amuck, completely misguided. Whatever happens to them they brought upon themselves. She flatout said on the stand that he directed her to steal customer money, full stop. Really threw him under the bus to kellys point. By saying that, she deflects over to him. She doesnt want to go behind bars. Maria theres that, yeah. So who do you believe as kelly just said. All right. More on this coming up. Well be right back.
