Laptop reportedly belonging to hunter biden now in the hands of the fbi according to fox news. The agency also confirming what director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe told us on monday not being part of russian scheme. Lucrative foreign deals while father was Vice President. The post saying it has pictures joe biden meeting his sons alleged business photos from kazikan. Joe biden is a corrupt politician, smoking gun emails show that the biden family sold the vice presidency for very, very substantial amount of money, more money than anybody would believe. The president is pointing on attorney general to appoint special counsel. Would we see a special counsel investigating this after the election. President trump heads to North Carolina as joe biden stays out of sight. Former president barack obama will stump for biden in philadelphia. 9point lead but losing grounded in battleground states. Polls from the New York Times and in florida biden holding a 1point lead, same in North Carolina, biden 49 , President Trump with 48 . Race the getting tight e according to Washington Post abc news poll. Work continues. The question is this a diversion to take the story away from joe biden. The senate is scheduled to vote on a skinny version to have bill today which failed to pass in september, this is the second attempt at relief legislation in 2 days after the senates paycheck protection bill failed on the senate floor yesterday. Stock is falling better than 6 in after hours trading session after streaming giant reported slowing growth in new subscriptions and lower than expected profits and netflix, company added 2. 2 million subscribers, down from 10 million members it added on Second Quarter. We see do see the stock under selling pressure. Down better than 5 right now. Broader market that was higher even if a fraction. Take a look, investors eyeing a big day of earnings. Fox business Dagen Mcdowell and forbes media chairman former president ial candidate steve forbes. Great to see, everybody, thanks for joining us. Steve good morning. Maria alex, what is driving the markets, interesting to see quiet down ahead of what could be important earnings news as well as debate tomorrow night . Yeah, lots of earnings news, maria, i cant get over what happened to netflix yesterday evening with missing subscriber additions, i look at Competitive Landscape and what they have ahead for them. Maria why are you so bearish . They dont have the millions of content creator like youtube does and thats why you see in the span of less than a year they have 6 competitors from just a few Small Companies like apple, amazon and disney, comcast, at t and time warner and disney in 9 months had 60 million subscribers. These are real material competitors, the dominant network affect monopoly tech driven monopolies, they have more defensibility than what say netflix has in its field. Maria let me ask you about google. One of the biggest stories this morning within the space. The department of justice suing google saying it is illegally preserving its monopoly on internet searches. Googles relationship with lawsuit at the heart of the lawsuit as well with two companies accused of working together to bolster each others businesses. Look, google right now has 90 market share of search, thats really the crux of the charge, do you believe that google will have to make changes . Im pretty disappointed in barr and the doj, they could have gone so much further with this suit. They are basically 3 or 4 years behind what the eu did. The eu did a few years ago, they settled for a billion dollars and let other Search Engines like, duck, duck, go, its a no issue. Google stock should go up because this is so far away from what the real issue is with googles hold here. Maria yeah, google is responding to this and write this, todays lawsuit by the department of justice is deeply flawed. People use google because they choose to and not because they are forced to or they cant find alternatives. The lawsuit will do nothing to find consumers and raise phone prices and make it harder for people to get to the Search Services they want to use. Alex, whats your reaction here because as i mentioned, google has 90 of the market in search, why is it this company has such a hold on search . The google General Council counsel are highfiving, they know how to fight it with the u. S. They integrate and compete with advisers, yelp, expedia, booking. Com, the list goes on and on and squeeze other website providers, they charge them rent in the form of ads to stay relevant and if you dont pay the gatekeeper then you lose. Thats the real problem with the platform monopolies, they take advantage of suppliers rather than consumer and for some reason the doj is fixated on the consumer, the consumer. Maria all right, alex, we will be watching, thanks very much for your insights. Alex joining us there. Thank you. Maria morning mover is snapchat, social media giant recording thirdquarter earnings after the close, take a look. Revenue up 52 due to ad spending daily users 250 million. We are just Getting Started this morning, Hunter Bidens laptop now in the fbis hands. Former Deputy National security adviser kt mcfarland, we will weigh on that. And Council Economic adviser Tyler Goodspeed weighing in this morning. Instead of paying thousands. All Commission Free online. Schwab stock slices an easy way to start investing or to give the gift of stock ownership. Schwab. Own your tomorrow. Maria well, more fallout from the biden bombshell, sources telling fox news that the fbi is in possession to have laptop at the center of the hunter biden email scandal. The fbi and Justice Department agreeing with what John Ratcliffe told me on monday that the laptop is not a part of russian disinformation against joe biden, President Trump slammed the biden in campaign trail in pennsylvania yesterday, take a listen. The bidens got rich while pennsylvania got robbed and so did the rest of the country. If biden wins, china wins, if biden wins, china will own the usa and you know it. No way he does anything about it. Im not just running against biden, sleepy joe, im running against the corrupt media, bigtech giants, the washington swamp and the Democrat Party is a part of all of them every single one of them. Maria joining me right now former trump National Security adam adviser kt mcfarland. Kt, thank you very much for joining us. Pleasure and an honor, maria. Maria this is extraordinary, if we havent seen enough from the collusion narrative in an attempt to take down President Trump, now we have a coverup underway by the media and parts of the fbi to cover up these business dealings between hunter biden and foreign federal governments while joe biden was Vice President. Whats your reaction to all of this . The fbi has had the laptop for over the year, what the heck they have been doing with it, they have been sitting on it . Its not just the play to pay scheme with china and with other countries. What it does to the media where they can censor, whether its social media forms, whether its the New York Times, whether its a whole lot of them, they feel that they can censor a legitimate story. Here is why the pay to play scheme matters, you know, joe biden refused to ever stand up to china. It would have been easy 20 years ago, 10 years ago. It would have been easy 6 years ago to stand up to china and demand equal trade agreements and it would have been a demand in our intellectual property rights, stop stealing our jobs, but he never did, why . You have to wonder, pay to play scheme. The chinese do corruption differently. They dont pay the official, they pay members of the family of the official. When xi jinping was clamping down on corruption in china, you know what they found out communist officials whose grandmothers were really rich and the grand mothers didnt even know that they were really rich, why . Because it was a pay to play scheme there and they are using the same thing with american politicians particularly the bidens. Manner. Maria unbelievable. This one email that we have been showing this week says it all and thats the email from hunter biden to an executive at a Chinese Company and he says my understanding is that the original agreement with the director was consulting fees based on introductions alone at rate of 10 million a year for 3year guaranty of 30 million. The chairman changed the deal after we met in miami to create a Holding Company 50 owned by me and 50 owned by him. The reason this proposal by the chairman was so much more interesting to me and my family is that we would be partners in the equity and profits to have joint venture. At the end of the email it says 10 of the entity goes to the big guy. You know, the big guy, we are assuming is joe biden and the wall street journal is out with an oped this week saying joe biden ought to clear the air on the China Business in his own political interest. Is he the big guy in the email . What happened to the deal . China will be one of mr. Bidens Foreign Policy challenges and the unexplained documents will not go away once hes elected. Kt, this is obvious to most people who are looking at this. Yeah. Maria clearly he needs to explain this, did this deal happen, did he get 10 of Chinese Company and is this going to get in the way in dealing with china . They could have put this to bed in 5 minutes if joe biden would have come out fake laptop, fake news, fake emails, wasnt me, somebody else did it or he could have said, okay, maybe the laptop is real but im not the big guy. This has nothing to do with me, im clean. He didnt do any of that stuff. Instead they attacked donald trump and everybody else for, oh, trying to smear them right before the election, look, i think the American People need to know because as you just said china will be our most important relationship, most important economic relationship. Its going to be the affected by on jobs and people in the United States and if joe biden, theyve already put a down payment on him, they know hes been weak in the past, what kind of a president is he going to be . How are you going to sit across the table with xi jinping, one tough negotiator, how is he going to defend the rights to have American People . Id love to get to the bottom of it and china has the maria Chinese Communist party is making threats, you know we have a string of indictments in 2020, head of Chemistry Department at harvard to academics at the Cleveland Clinic to officials and workers at the embassies, the chinese embassies, they have been indicted, officials in china threatening to detain u. S. Nationals in the country in retaliation to prosecution of the Chinese Military affiliated scholars, recent report saying that china is beefing up military forces for possible invasion of taiwan. We see what the ccp has done during the whole coronavirus while everybody is trying to get healthy and deal with this deadly virus that they exported, they are moving into india, moving into hong kong with new laws and regulations and now getting set for taiwan while threatening that theyre going to put in jail americans in china. Do you think its safe to go to china right now as an american citizen . I wouldnt go. You know what they call this wolf warrior diplomacy and they are really proud of it and im concerned that during the chaos if there is chaos after the election, the chinese are going to exploit the moment of indecision and we are going to be in trouble. Maria really fascinating stuff. Kt, thank you very much, come back soon. Good to see you this morning. Be sure to order my new book its all in there, the relationship between u. S. Both sides remain gridlocked over the proposed amount. Democrats are offering a plan of over 2 trillion while many republicans are pushing for less. 1. 8 trillion is the republicans number, why they cannot get together on an agreement is beyond me. Nancy pelosi expressed optimism yesterday during interview with bloomberg, take a look. Im not going to sit because i do think we do have a shared value, not many, shared value that is crush the virus. Thats a change over the weekend when they put language that wasnt respectful of what we needed to do from the standpoint of science to crush the virus. Maria yeah, this is so much back and forth, Dagen Mcdowell, what do you think about this, honestly, seems like nancy pelosi doesnt really want to get anything done before the election. So theyll blame donald trump. Dagen let me start with its very hard not the curse even at 6 26 a. M. , i wont, after watching the clip i do want to use a few explicitives. This is about bailing out blue states that are bad with math. Thats what it comes down to. I have said all along, she has zero intention of doing any deal until after the election. She wouldnt dare work in the best interest of the American People if it meant giving donald trump even a small win. Its about politics and her own personal gain and not about helping americans who are struggling. I will add this, though, now that they are trying to put together a deal between the white house and and nancy pelosi, the senate is really not on board with this. Mitch mcconnell said yesterday that he told the white house not to divide the senate gop right before the election and 2 trilliondollar relief package would split the caucus according to wall street journal today. They put up the Senate Republicans put up half a trillion dollar deal several weeks ago in september and the democrats voted against even debating it. So that would have helped children and the unemployed and it would have helped Small Businesses and the democrats said no to that. Thats where we are. Its about political gain and not helping the American People. Maria thats exactly right. Steve, if i had to make a guess i would say that the only reason pelosi came out and started to making a stink here is a deadline is take attention away from whats becoming an ugly story for joe biden and his son hunter biden, so lets look over here because we dont want to look over here. This is the same playbook over and over again. She us the think the people are stupid . Steve well, thats right, in terms of a deal the only reason she would to a deal she felt it would split the Senate Republicans, have a huge embarrassment there before the election and say, hey, the senate races, they want to take over the senate, look at these guys, they dont want to help the American People. They are blocking this bill. I hope the white house negotiators recognize that and the proposal is full of stuff, Public Television is going to get another round of money, post office. Clear the junk out and have federal checks. The Federal Reserve is sitting on 450 billion of money that could two tout to small and mediumsized businesses but they are bogged down in detail and regulations and obstacles, free the money up. That can be put to work immediately. Dagen ive been talking about that, almost 400 billion unspent, it has to be reauthorized. Here is the New York Times headline, mcconnell moves to head off stimulus deal as pelosi reports progress. That awful Mitch Mcconnell getting in the way of nancy who is looking out for the best interest of americans. Thats how i read it. Funny steve they are walking right into a nancy trap. Maria what has happened to the media sun believable. Ill be speaking with white house chief of staff mark meadows, dont miss mark meadows coming up. First keeping your smartphones clean. Keeping your smartphones clean, so clean is launching a product to sanitize your device amid covid19 pandemic. Thety vice disinfector, athome gadget that takes 10 minutes to clean to disinfect phones, keys, sunglasses and a lot of other things as well. Ceo of so clean, bob, great to have you this morning. Thank you very much for joining us, you make a good point because this is probably one to have easiest ways to carry around germs, holing your phone, putting your phone down and having hands all over it. Show us this device and tell us how its used. Maria, thank you for having me on, i appreciate it. The device is right here. So this is the device disinfector that we came out with. Started shipping a month and a half ago and its super simple, you open up the lid and you can put your smartphone in here, up 5 smartphones at one time. Keys can drop quickly, ear buds, remote controls that are in the house, anything that youve got, close the lid and 10 minutes later you have 99. 9 kill on bacteria and viruses. Maria can you put all of those things together . Do i really want my phone with my keys and other things in the same box and yeah. Absolutely. We use activated oxygen inside the chamber, so anything thats in there, all services, doesnt matter if you have 4 or 5 things at one time. They will all get disinfected at one time. Obviously the phone is critical items. With kids out there you dont know where the phones are going. Its the first thing that should go in the device and if people are over, we are still doing socializing in the house with friends and so on, anything that they are touching, putting in device and you dont have to worry ant cleaning them. Maria how often do you use this device . How often would we clean our phones . Any time that you think the phone has been out and about and somebody has come in and touched it, we came up with the idea because when covid first started in february or march, you couldnt get any disinfectant wipes and so you needed Something Else to take care of that situation. The other issue with wipes is that you really have to wipe for 3 minutes to get 99. 9 kill. With this, you can drop it in and put them in and its all done. Maria i love that. Steve forbes, jump in here. Steve bob, on one of your other products, sleep apnea cleaners, talk about that because as we get older we will have more issues. Simple way to clean devices . Maria welcome back, ending the School Shutdown, new oped in the journal this morning calls to reopen schools, researchers noting small case loads among students and teachers who have already returned to schools ten times less than national average, mckenzie study shows keeping classes closed through the fall could lead to 61,000 to 82,000 in loss lifetime earnings for average k through 12 students. Georgia study brings tally 2. 5 trillion. We write this in the book about in terms of lost earnings. Dagen, your reaction. Dagen research has shown and its in the opinion piece in the wall street journal, has shown that hospitalization and fatality rates for schoolaged children are extremely low. The center for Disease Control of all the covid deaths up until october 10th only 74 were children under the age of 15. 74 of all the deaths in this country compare that to 20192020 flu season, 434 children tied of the died of the flu. If you look back, extended absences from environment produce longterm academic and even emotional damage to children. This is paramount that we get kid back to school. Maria yeah. So steve forbes is not just the lost earnings but also impacting the parents in a big way . Steve it does especially lowincome parents who dont have the means to bring in help to take care of the kids during the day. This whole thing is a scandal. You look at countries like australia, germany, japan and others that opened schools without any really adverse impacts, this is a shakedown by political unions trying to get out more money and the like and it had nothing to do with health, they really conjured up a scared and it should never have happened, the schools should have been open, not just study but you see it in other countries, there was no adverse impacts. This was just absolutely unnecessary and a real cost to those who have the least. Maria i mean, initially with the coronavirus being this unknown that we were all trying to learn about, i can understand, but we are now 7 months into this. Women in particular are suffering from the school closures, the journal notes that nearly 4 times as many women over the age of 19 have dropped out of the workforce in august than men. Dagen, thats because women have to go back home and care for the kids. Dagen women leaving the workforce, this is damage to a generation of women who have fought so hard to climb the ranks and be part of Corporate Culture and, you know, part of the workforce, and the fact that women are dropping out to have workforce to me is just horrific. Maria yeah. All right, we will take a break. We will keep watching that for sure. Its an important story. Also important is the airline and what they they are facing, the ceo of delta will weigh, when passengers can expect things to become to normal and how about International Travel . Some of the top stories were watching this morning, the laptop reportedly belonging to hunter biden is now in the hands of the fbi. Thats according to fox news. The agency also has confirmed what director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe told me this monday about the laptop and that the emails are not part of any russian disinformation scheme. The emails show lucrative foreign deals made by hunter biden while his father was Vice President. The New York Post is reporting that it has pictures showing joe biden meeting his sons you alleged Business Partner from kazhakstan, though the photos have not been independently verified. President trump going after joe biden yesterday during a Campaign Rally in pennsylvania. Take a look. Joe biden is a corrupt politician. Smoking gun emails show that the biden family sold the vice presidency for a very, very substantial amount of money, more money than anybody would believe. Maria the president calling on attorney general bill barr to appoint a special counsel to investigate. Meanwhile, on to the campaign trail we go, President Trump is headed to North Carolina today as joe biden stays out of sight before tomorrow nights debate. Former president barack obama will stump for biden today in philadelphia. New polls show biden is holding onto a 9 point lead nationally. He is losing ground in key battleground states. In florida, biden is holding a 1 point lead you according to the university of north florida, 48 to 47 on President Trump. Same in North Carolina, a Washington Post abc poll shows biden has 49 of the vote while President Trump has 48 of of the vote. Meanwhile, the deadline is set by House Speaker nancy pelosi to get a stimulus deal done before the election has passed but the work is not over, she says. The senate is scheduled to vote on a skinny version of the bill today. That failed to pass in september. This is the second attempt in two days. Netflixs pandemic bump may be on the way out, the stock is falling this morning and certainly a pretty good selloff last night, 6 lower in afterhours trading after the streaming giant reported slowing growth in new subscriptions and lower than expected profit. Netflix added just 2. 2 million subscribers last quarter, that was down from the 10 of million new members it added in the Second Quarter. Premarket this morning on netflix shows the stock down 5. 8 this morning. And stimulus showdown continues, House Democrats and the white house reportedly making progress on a stimulus agreement worth roughly 2 trillion ahead of a senate vote today on a slimmed down deal. However, Senate Majority leader Mitch Mcconnell told colleagues during a lunch yesterday that pelosi is not negotiating in good faith with republicans and an agreement to hold up the vote to confirm judge Amy Coney Barrett to the supreme court. That is probably more important to nancy pelosi. Joining me right now is the council of economic advisors acting, Tyler Goodspeed. Thank you for being here. Good morning. Maria a word on the stimulus, are the talks for real . I can say that we are getting closer, though significant issues do remain. Committee chairs on both sides are working together on appropriations and other issues such as the paycheck protection program. I spoke with the treasury secretary late last night, he had conversation was the speaker yesterday and hell be returning to washington today and is scheduled to have further conversations with the speaker this afternoon. Maria okay. So when you look at the impact on the economy, what can you tell us . We know that this pandemic is now in itself only month its seventh month. The shutdown has meant Many Industries changed forever. Some companies within those industries may not come back. Moodys has been bullish on the recovery and the economy and i want to ask you where you believe we are in this recovery. Well, certainly the pace of the recovery to date has vastly exceeded expectations, just a few months ago the Nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office was projecting yearend unemployment of 10. 5 . Were o now at 7. 9 , so thats definitely exceeding expectations and just to compare this to the previous expansion, it took 30 months for the u. S. Economy to recover half of the jobs lost in 2008, 2009. Weve regained over half the jobs lost in march and april in five months, its a staggering pace of recovery. We are cleareyed about the reality that the second half of the recovery will be more difficult than the first. Thats why were working very hard on the hill to get a phase four deal that would include a reload of the paycheck protection program, that would include an expansion of an Employee Retention tax credit, that would include targeted relief to particularly hardhit Industries Like airlines, that would include a second round of economy impact payments to hardhit households. And would also include an extension of enhanced Unemployment Insurance benefits for struggling households. Maria so let me ask you about the difference on some of these on each of these plans. Weve got a report that we are showing on the screen right now that says moodys has been bullish on former Vice President joe bidens plan. Moodys says the plan is going to add jobs, 7. 4 million jobs more than President Trumps plan. Hillary , lower th lower the Unemployment Rate in half the time according to moodys. A study states the biden plan would cut fulltime equivalent employment per person by 3 , the Capital Stock per person by 15 and real gdp per capita by more than 8 . The Tax Policy Center r that has biden increases would be unprecedented combined capital taxes jump from 20 from the current law to much higher taxes going up for everyone. Whats your take on the difference in these plans . Well, certainly i have a great deal of respect for mark zande at moodys. However, his analysis in the aftermath of 2008, 2009 was quite wide of the mark. I think a lot of the analysis relies on big old School Multiplier effects that the latest literature suggests really arent there. We took a very close look at the study cited coming out of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University by some very respected academic economists, including tim fits gerald, kevin hassett. When we look at the increases in implicit marginal tax rates on employment from some of the changes that former Vice President biden is proposing, they are very high implicit marginal tax rates on work, also increases in the rate of taxation on capital and the recent economic literature suggests that tax disproportionately falls on labor. And also some very substantial mandates and subsidies in the energy industry, and look, weve seen the deregulatory agenda the Trump Administration particularly in the Energy Sector has resulted in average cost savings per household of 2,500 and that disproportionately benefits lower income households for whom those costs constitute a greater share of disposable personal income. In contrast, when we look at that hoover study, you add it all up, the Energy Changes that the former Vice President is proposing, the implicit marge ml tax rates on employment of plus the reduced Capital Investment were looking at an average hit to Median Household Income of 6,500. So i think this is a pretty stark contrast. Maria well, i mean, im looking at a corner stone macro report right now. The current law for labor taxes is 40. 2 . Joe biden wants to take it up to 52. 8 . The current law on Capital Gains taxes im sorry, capital taxes, 39. 8 . Biden wants to take it up to 59. 2 . Then you look at Capital Gains taxes, currently at 23. 8 , biden wants to take Capital Gains taxes all the way up the to 43. 4 . Dividends, 23. 8 now. Biden wants to take that up to 43. 4 . And Corporate Income tax currently at 21 . Biden wants to take that up to 28 . Do you believe that these numbers will have a larger impact than just, say, on the corporate sector . Youve got the corporate rate going up to 28 . We know what happened under President Trumps tax cut plan back in 2017. Lowering the Corporate Tax really enabled the economy to pass through those tax savings to other income levels. Right. So its not just about passing through savings. Its about ultimately economic incidents and econ 101 tells us that the economic incidents of any taxis disproportionately borne by the less mobile factor of production. In todays day and age that is disproportionately labor and less Skilled Labor and they pay it through fewer establishments. They pay it through less investment in domestic Capital Formation so you have less equipment and plant per worker and lower productivity growth and lower wages. This is precisely what we saw in the aftermath of 2008, 2009 when we had high implicit marginal tax rates on work and very high tax rates on capital. And as a result, we actually saw for several years during the obama, biden years, we actually saw the socalled capital deepening, the contribution of capital deepening to Labor Productivity growth turn negative. Firms investments in new capital per worker, new plant per worker was not sufficient to keep pace with depreciation of existing capital per worker. I think that is why we saw slow productivity growth under the preceding expansion until President Trump implemented landmark tax reform in 2017, and the proof is in the pudding. We actually saw in 2019 real income gains for the typical American Household that were greater than during all eight years of the preceding administration and in the first three years of the Trump Administration we saw real income gains that were more than five times real income gains of the preceding eight years. Maria yeah. I know, i understand that. We certainly did see the lowest level, the lowest earners show the biggest increase which is why for the first time we saw income inequality narrow earlier this year before covid showed up. Tyler, real quick, joe biden keeps saying that hes not going to raise taxes on anybody making 400,000 or more. Whats your take on that . I mean, i know just looking at the plan to reverse President Trumps tax cut means every income level sees their taxes go higher but he continues to say this on the campaign trail, that anybody 400,000 or less will not see a tax increase and you say . Well, i think youre right, maria, that when we look at the tax cuts and jobs act, that saved the average household with two children earning 70,000 a year which is the median income, the law saved the household 2 2,200 per year. So getting rid of the 2017 tax law means removing the 2,200. It doubled the standard reduction, getting rid of the 2017 tax law means removing that increase in the standard reduction. Real income gains, real wage gains and real wealth gains were disproportionately skewed toward the lower ends in 2018 and 2019. During the first three years of the Trump Administration wage growth for the bottom 10 of the wage distribution was more than double that for the top 10 of the wage distribution which is a complete reversal of the preceding eight years of the prior recovery. Maria all right, tyler. Well keep watching. Thanks very much for weighing in on this. Be sure to order my new book, i compare each economic plan in the cost, coming out next week. Economic recovery amid the pandemic, Federal Reserve bank of America President raphael bosstik saying while some parts of the u. S. Economy are in the midst of a recovery, other parts are struggling, as worries grow over a second wave. Joining me on the phone is home depot cofounder, ken langone. Ken, its always great to talk with you. Thanks so much for being here. How are you this morning, maria, and thanks for having me. Maria im doing well. Im comparing both economic plans of President Trump and joe biden. So we want to look at taxes. And we want to look at some of the Spending Plans and get your opinion from a business standpoint. Ken, you built incredible businesses over your career. You are investing in incredible businesses right now. And you know how to identify growth. Can you compare the plans for us and tell us what you think . And let me just say that you know that President Trump has said that he wants to institute another tax cut, a middle class tax cut this time. President biden im sorry, Vice President biden wants to raise taxes by 4. 3 trillion and interestingly, among the taxes hes g going to raise, he wantso take the Capital Gains tax and tax on dividends, which i didnt realize it was this high, he wants to take it all the way up to 43. 6 , ken. Your reaction to the impact of that . Well, maria, first of all, theres a reality. Its this simple. You arent going to get the revenue numbers by just taxing the rich. The only way a tax increase will generate revenues is to go after the middle class. Thats where the numbers are. These people are being misled. There is not going to be enough money generated from the socalled rich to take care of all the needs. So thats step one. Step one, it is absolutely a fraud to suggest that all the money thats going to be needed is going to come from the rich and the super rich. The problem is, when you go after the middle class, you begin to attack the backbone of the economy. And we will have a bad recession. We will have a very bad recession. At a point in time when our country can ill afford tax increases, this is the pitch. And the pitch is based politically on the notion, well get only the rich people. You poor people, you middle class people are going to be fine. It wont work and they know it wont work. The tragedy is, it wont theyll find out it wont work when its too late. Were doing very good. I was very impressed with the unemployment numbers the other day, theyre much better than i thought they would be and im very hopeful that we have such resilience in our economy that with any kind of a break in a vaccine and by the way, im one of those people in the corner saying we will have a vaccine. I think well have it before christmas. More importantly, i think well have more than one. But thats hopeful on my part. I cant prove what i just said but thats what i believe. The second thing is, we must be mindful of thee the enormous dee have in the government right now. When Interest Rates do any kind of a rise, just put a pencil to paper, take 2, 3 interest on our federal debt and you see a Staggering Number for interest in the federal budget. These are very precarious times and not the time to be screwing around and by the way, if you want to just have a tax on the rich, go right ahead. Leon cooper, my very good friend, made a good point. Id be willing to work for the government six months and i keep six months for myself. Im almost there as it is between new york state and the federal government. But the point is, i dont know if theres any of us that have done well that would have a problem with paying more taxes but its a r use to think us and us alone is going to get the job done. It wont and the middle class will be in peril and when you take money out of the hands of the middle class, you do a dramatic impact negatively on the economy. Thats my pitch, maria. Reality needs to prevail. Maria yep. And not only that, but when you see some of these taxes tied to investments, like the stock market and your home, you sell a home, youre getting taxed, Capital Gains tax. If you sell your home youre going to get 43. 4 Capital Gains tax, dividends as well. Any dividends you make on a stock that you own, 43. 4 Capital Gains tax. That is a significant hit. Well, youre right. And the other thing is, bear in mind that if value goes down, the revenue base, that is the percentage youre going to get, federal governments going to get, its share, is going to be much lower and that drives more reason why you have to go after the middle chat my middle class. The middle class will not be exempt. Tragically it will punish them. It isnt going to punish us. I will have less money. Maybe i should. Maria great to talk with you this morning. Thank you so much. Ken langone. Well be right back. So youre a small business, or a big one. You were thriving, but then. Oh. Ah. Okay. Plan, pivot. How do you bounce back . You dont, you bounce forward, with serious and reliable internet. Powered by the largest gig Speed Network in america. But is it secure . Sure its secure. And even if the power goes down, your connection doesnt. So how do i do this . You dont do this. We do this, together. Bounce forward, with comcast business. Maria welcome back. Time for the word on wall street, top investors watching your money this week. Joining us right now, danielle hughes, chief investment officer, steven auf and keith fitzgerald. Great to see everybody this morning. Thank you so much for being here. Lets take a look at markets this morning with the market lower, dow futures down 49, nasdaq down 18 and the s p down 5 and three quarters. Weve got another big day of earnings, verizon will be reporting their Quarterly Earnings today. Abbott labs as well. And then tesla and shy po chipol report after the bell. Your take on earnings so far, what is the Third Quarter reporting season telling you . Its been exciting, a big surprise to the updie upside. Were watching abbott labs and verizon this morning. Verizon, theres expectation for a small contraction. Unlike at t, which reports tomorrow and comcast which reports next week, verizon hasnt pursued a lot of mergers. Were watching Consumer Service revenue, down significantly in the first quarter, rebounded a little bit last quarter. But theyve been including the keep america connected subscribers on their base, and we want to see how fiscal stimulus or not has affected that. Abbott labs which is expecting 90cents a share on 8. 52 billion in revenue, we think theyre probably going to surprise to the upside. Yeartodate that stock is up 25 . Theyve got six tests for covid19 and they just put together two plants and 50 billion in tests that are expected to ship this month. Theyre scaling up production pretty massively. Were going to see i think some real important notes on that. Theyve got a nutritional unit that does pedialyte which im sure youre familiar with. We think thats interesting as well. Maria yeah, i mean, we just spoke with ken langone and ken langone said he is expecting a vaccine by the end of the year. He of course is the chairman of Nyu Langone Medical Center and he said hes real optimistic. I know theres a lot of optimism around abbott as well as regeneron and eli lilly as well. Lets talk google for a moment. The department of justice is suing google, claiming it is illegally preserving its monopoly on the internet searches. Look, we know, keith, that google has 90 market share in search. When you want to search something, you normally go to google, 90 of the market does, anyway. That antitrust believes that this is a problem. Do you think google will be forced to break up or will this be a hefty fine . Its interesting. Its too early to tell on either of those. What i see is shades of the Microsoft Case which never really came the way the government expected it. What theyve done is brilliant. They focused on a narrow section of googles delivery, the ad in mobile devices. I personally dont like the fact that i have to give up my real estate and my mental bandwidth to google every time i pick up my phone. Thats the core of the case here. Has that hurt consumers, thats a different thing. I think it will start a ten year wave of litigation against big tech. I dont think it wit be pressing in terms of breaking up google though. Maria let me ask you about valuation, steven, because this really caught my eye and, you know, during the dotcom bubble, steven, i know you remember this, when we were valuing Companies Based on clicks to the website. Remember that one . And we used to have a comparison when i was over at the other guys and we would say annoying little comparisons, heres joes pizza place, dotcom, valuation, versus General Motors. Thats producing all these cars. You know what, steven . I found another one. And that is zoom versus exxon. Check out these numbers. Zoom has overtaken exxon in terms of market value. Here we want to look at market value of exxon at 142. 49 billion. The market value of zoom as of yesterdays close, 152. 7 billion market value. When you look at the revenue, exxon dwarfs zoom, exxon generated revenue in 2019 of 264. 9 billion versus zooms revenue of 622 million. Does that make sense to you . Look at the market value versus the reef new. Steve, your reaction. Maria, if you ever need a night job, i got one for you, federated hermes. Youre right on there. We dont own zoom in our growth portfolios. Great company. Zooms the future, et cetera, et cetera, its trading at 5 of of o50 times2022 revenues. Zooms case, year over year next year is going to be terrible. Were in lockdown this year. Exxon of, people say its got a 10 dividend yield on it, they must be about to cut it. We would say or the stocks about to double. You know, exxon is massively undervalued here. Theyre making a shift towards more natural gas, carbon friendly production and its completely underappreciated by the market. So in the meantime, you get paid 110 to sit there and wait on te dividend yield. Maria i thought that was an interesting look and i thought you would appreciate it. Steven, just to be clear, you still like stocks here, youre still bullish on the backdrop . Were bullish for next year, maria, either way. Because the cyclical recovery and the fed. This election is a lot closer than people think. Thats going to be disturbing to people if the market doesnt know who is president the day after the election, i dont think we will. I think were in for a little bit of volatility. On a 12 month view we like stocks. Maria all right. Well leave it there. Great to talk with everybody this morning. Thank you so much. Have a great day, danny, keith and steven. Well see you soon. Thank you so much. Coming up, ill be speaking with the ceo of Delta Air Lines, ed d bastian is here on the state of the Airline Industry. Verizon and abbott labs out with Quarterly Earnings. Lets get to Cheryl Casone with the numbers. Cheryl lets start with veer verizon, the stock is up more than three quarters of a percent, we are looking at a pretty much a beat on earnings per share, basically in line when it comes to revenue. Earnings per share coming in at a buck 25, 2 estimate, a buck 22. Revenue came in line there, 31. 5 billion. A couple things here. They lost vios tv customers. Also, big news here, internet customers the work from home story, they gained 139,000. Also for the Fourth Quarter, looking at a little bit, 2 growth and again, the phone customers, those that pay monthly bills, that jumped a bunch, 283,000, versus the estimate 326,000 on verizon. Abbott labs. The covid testing update here. Earnings per share, they beat, 91cents the estimate, they came in at a 98, the stock is up more than half a percent. On revenue, they also beat, 8. 54 billion was the estimate on revenue. They raised their 2020 guidance. Earnings per share guidance now for the year, 235, 2. 35, and get this, quarterly profits for this quarter, jumped 28 because of covid test sales. Theyve got that abbott labs, that id you now, the rapid test, thats where theyre seeing strength, maria. Those are numbers we were looking for this morning. Back to you. Maria there have been a handful of companies that have benefited from where we are in this incredible moment in time. Cheryl, thank you. Cheryl casone joining us there on the impact of covid. Now we want to look at the impact on the Airline Industry. Delta air lines reporting Third Quarter earnings last week. The coronavirus pandemic taking a serious toll on travel across the industry. Delta moving to avoid involuntary layoffs, keeping Safety Measures in place for the remainder of the pandemic. Joining me right now is Delta Air Lines ceo, ed bastian. Its wonderful to see you. Thank you for joining us this morning. Good to be with you, maria. Thank you. Maria well, youve been at this a long time, ed. Youve worked for the firm for over a decade. Youve been chief executive since 2016. Has been an incredible moment in time, passenger revenue declining 83 year over year. Have you ever seen anything like this, ed . How would you characterize Business Today . We have never seen anything like this. Many of us, maria, thought in our industry at least 9 11 would have been our existential event, defining event for our industry. It was, it was a traumatic event. This has significant implications that go far beyond anything that we experienced back almost 20 years ago now. The industry is slowly recovering. Were looking at our Fourth Quarter that were in currently, we expect to be back somewhere around 30 to 35 of prior year levels in terms of total revenue. Still long way toss to go but wn we bottomed out at the pan a demick in the start in the Second Quarter we were at 10 . We tripled from the Second Quarter to the Fourth Quarter but we have to triple again just to get back to anywhere close to the levels we were last year on a sustainable level and thats why many of us are thinking this is going to take a couple more years to get this industry back to where it needs to be. Maria all this while youre also trying to save cash and make that cash burn better than as best as you can. You still have to pay out severance payments. Tell me about the cash burn that youre expecting in december, in the Fourth Quarter, as you are trying to avoid employee furloughs by offering early retirement programs, voluntary separations and these cash severance payments. Weve done an you amazing job to manage cash, to image mae cost on a voluntary basis. In the Third Quarter we reduced total operating cost by over of 50 . Second quarter in a row weve done that. We expect to do a similar type of mark in the Fourth Quarter as well. Thats saving us an enormous am of cash and capital and as the revenue is coming back, climbing back up slowly but steadily, thats going to hopefully overtake the costs that we do have in the business. So by the time we get to the spring, we expect to be at that cash flow breakeven level. We are 18 million a day in the month of september. In december, were at were expecting to be at around 10 million a day. So really good improvement. Started at 100 million a day was our loss on a daily basis back in march. We are thrilled the great work of our people have enabled us to avoid any furloughs to date. We had almost half our entire staff this summer out on unpaid leaves of absence, over 40,000 people. Thats saving jobs, its saving cash and really protecting our future. Maria that is just wonderful. Have you changed your expectations in terms of travel and when it may come back . I know we did see some good news in the last several weeks in terms of bookings and what the expectations are in terms of normalized travel but have you been changing what youre expecting sort of on an ongoing basis with new news of spikes, et cetera . Well, were in as uncertain a period that weve ever been in this industry. So expectations will change as we learn more about the virus and watch the medical advances to do what theyre doing to contain the virus. Were seeing bookings and overall traffic increase on an average of 1 to 2 a week. Weve seen that for the last number of months, that steady climb. As an industry, on sunday tsa counts which is one of the measures everyone is looking at, we crossed the 1 million passenger carried mark as an industry in this past sunday. At delta, we have a little over 20 of that level, so were carrying on a good day right now a little over 200,000 people. But continue to improve and climb. So i think the Leisure Travel that we see today, thats primarily the volume were carrying is going to be very responsive to the environment, Business Travel is taking a while to come back. Were only at about 15 of our Business Revenues that we normally expect for delta. Business revenues should represent close to half of our overall business. Right now its significantly lower than that and international is another story. International i think is going to be a year out before you see International Flying at scale. Maria yeah. Well, partly because of the rules in place where if you go anywhere youve got to come home and youve got to quarantine. I want to know more about the personal Leisure Travel versus Business Travel and im really looking to see what is going to look like structural change because on the business side of travel im wondering if ceos and managers of businesses right now are rethinking their travel for employees. Do you see structural changes happening in Business Travel, where managers are you now saying well, weve had half of our employees working from home and its working. Weve had lower travel and weve saved money, its working. Do you worry that this is going to be more longstanding than we expected as it relates to Business Travel . There will be changes for Business Travel. I dont think its going to have a major structural change, maria. We need to be together doing business. We need to collaborate. We need to create. We need to innovate together. I was listening to your earlier segment about the market cap of zoom and good for them but i think theres also a large amount of zoom fatigue that is everywhere you go. People cant wait to start to get back together and relationships start to get frayed. The creativity that spurs innovation is lacking at todays isolated and distant level. So its going to take a couple years before we get Business Travel back but we were talking about 9 11, i can remember 9 11 people saying this is going to be the death nell for tear lines in a certain way and Business Travel, we saw that same rhetoric even before that, the gulf war and the 90s, the recession in 2009. Business travel has always come back faster than anything we expect. It goes down harder as businesses cut it first and it comes back faster than anyone is expecting. I dont know that it will get back to 100 but i do think well get back to a meaningful level, level of volume. Maria i think you make a fair point. Even during 9 11 i was down there on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and i thought oh, god i want to be out of new york, it stinks, the air quality is horrible. We smell for months and months and months what took place. And yet i went back, friends went back, families went back. Things do come back after time has passed. Ed, i want to keep talking about International Travel. You made an important point there in terms of what your expectations are. How long are you expecting to keep that in place . Its got to be tough. It reminds me of the restaurants only being able to do 25 capacity. Tell me the impact of that, not being able to book the middle seat. Well, we can book the middle seat, maria, but we decided not to. Were one of the few airlines in the world still thats blocking the middle seat and capping the load factors on our planes as somewhere around twothirds of the normal capacity. Customers tell us its really important. They feel great comfort, that extra space they have, the middle seat thats next to them thats open on virtually all of our aircraft. Were going to keep that in place through the end of the year, through the holidays, into next year. We havent decided when is the right time to sell the middle seat. It will be based on customer sentiment, what we learn from medical experts around advances in dealing with the virus and when people are comfortable buying and sitting in the middle seat. Thats going to take a number of months yet. Maria i love that youre doing that. Earlier you said you probably are not expecting International Travel to come back for a year or so. What are the metrics that youre looking at . Are you talking about 2022 . 2023 . International travel you can understand why its not going to come back. People are afraid and you dont know whats going on in europe, you dont know whats going on in asia in terms of the coronavirus. Well, right now the main thing thats affecting International Travel are the quarantines. So as well as the restrictions on u. S. Travelers, even getting into europe. Were working closely with the authorities, both in europe as well as in the u. S. , working very, very closely with the cdc on how were going to reopen International Travel. Its not as if theres going to be a green light that goes off and were all back traveling internationally. Were going to have to put some pilots in place on experimental routes, using testing. Im very encouraged by what Companies Like abbott are doing, with these advances around antigen rapid testing. I think testing will be the key to opening up international flows, without a quarantine requirement. Right now, were watching whats going on in europe with the surge in the virus. This winter is going to be very difficult in any case to get International Traffic going. But hopefully by the spring, as the virus were all doing a better job of managing the virus, as testing protocols are in place, as advances around tracing are enacted and people feel confident that they can actually go and enjoy their vacation, theyre not going to have to sit in a hotel room for two weeks when they land. These are the things we need to get international going. I think next summer youre going to see people traveling internationally again but i think it will take a couple of years before we again, we see anywhere close to what we used to see in international business. Maria what do you want to see from government, ed . Theyre negotiating another stimulus package, the 25 billion grant to the Airline Industry seem to be a positive. From your standpoint, what do you need now in terms of aid from government . Well, as an industry, weve been singled out, either side of the house as well as the administration has all indicated they see its important to continue maintaining the stimulus for the industry and hopefully theyll find a vehicle to get it done here soon. Now some top stories that we are watching this morning, the reportedly belonging to hunter biden in hands of the fbi, according to fox news, the agency also confirming what director of National Intelligence ratcliffe told us monday that the laptop and the emails are not part of any russian disinformation scheme. The emails show lucrative foreign detail by lunn00 payouts to the hunters dad father Vice President payouts Chinese Companies Ukrainian Companies New York Post has pictures that show joe biden meeting Business Partner from kazakhstan, photos have not been independently verified looks like this story is turning ugly on number of fronts President Trump, going after joe biden yesterday during a Campaign Rally, in pennsylvania. The. Have joe biden is a corrupt politicians, a smoking gun email shows that biden family sold the vice presidency, for very, very substantial amount of money more money than anybody would believe. Maria the president called on attorney general bill barr to appoint a special counsel to investigate a question i asked John Ratcliffe monday will there be a special counsel, investigating all of this . As well as the trying to take him down regardless of who is in office after november campaign trail we go President Trump to North Carolina today joe biden is staying out of for the debate former president barack obama will stufrm for bid 911 philadelphia, losing crowned in key at about ground states florida, North Carolina take a look, florida biden holds one point lead according to university of north florida in North Carolina, same thing Washington Postabc poll show biden 49 versus President Trump 48 . Many well the selfimposed deadline by nancy pelosi to get stimulus done before election has come and gone the work continues scheduled to vote on skinny version today failed to pat in september secretary attempt in two days after paycheck protection bill failed on senate for mr. Yesterday few believe nancy pelosi democrats want a deal done, in the next two weeks. Google department of justice suing the Technology Giant claiming it is illing preserving a monopoly on searches google relationship with apple among issues lawsuit with two companies accused of working together, to bolster each others businesses, google pushing back on statements, google rights this todays lawsuit by department of justice is deeply flawed, people yudz google because they choose to not because they are forced to or because they cant find alternatives, actually google has 90 market share. In all of search and that is the crux of the claims from department of justice. Joining me right now louisiana senator member of Senate Judiciary committee senateing Appropriations Committee Senate Budget Committee John kennedy always a pleasure to see you. Thank you for being here. Thank you, maria. Maria so this doj lout against dueling first tackle that, what are you expecting in terms of social media are you poised to vote to remove section 230, of course, allows these companies on social media to not get sued they have got Liability Protection. Lets talk about google on the on the one hand, google is an extraordinary american company. And im very proud of that. On the other hand, google no longer a company. It is a country. And a very powerful country. It it and the other social media platforms can influence what we think, where and if we go to church, how we raise our children, are what we eat, how we vote, if google and the other social media platforms wanted to they say they dont do it, but they could go to a file or create a file with your name on it maria, and know everything about you except your dna they may have that. And that is an enormous amount of power. Now, in terms of of the section 230 liability, you know, the i want to talk about what twitter did, and facebook. The New York Post a very reputable News Organization ran story about mr. Hunter bidens emails. Once again, the New York Post is a record News Organization subject to liable lace of this country if it prints something not true they can be sued. The New York Post says we have verified the emails. Vice President Biden has not denied them, neither has hunter biden, yet twitter certain extent facebook, censored New York Post story. Now thats not right. Now, they are private companies it is true they can do what they want. But on the other hand, they have a huge government benefit it is called section 230 liability, or waiver of liability. You cant sue twitter. For libel you can you can sue New York Post, and government gave them that visit we have to visit the subject of whether they should still have it. When do you expect this to happen is the a january 2021 affair . Maria one of the things, that frustrates me members of congress around issue press he releases way dont do anything we should have had he hearings make a decision years ago, months ago with the very least, i dont know what it is going to happen. Of the but weve been talking about it i sinceive been here which is 3 1 2 years. Maria yeah. At a. I want to ask about stimulus but before i get to that, you mentioned this hunter biden story, this is an important story, the the wall street journal oped this morning, has a pies piece titled china and bidens, saying that biden must answer questions. About hunter biden and china. Making the point that china, is going to be the toughest Foreign Policy issue for america for sometime to come youve talked about this on this program many times, that it is critical for biden to answer questions because china would be toughest Foreign Policy challenge if he were to win in november weve got email here from hunter biden, to the head of the Chinese Company we know that Chinese Communist Party Chinese writes my understanding the original agreement with director wore consulting fees based on introduction alone at rate of 10 Million Dollars a year for threeyear guarantee total of 30 Million Dollars, and when in miami, the chairman agreed to much more lasting lucrative arrangement to create a holding k350e7b owned by me 50 administrators owned by him consulting fees one piece of income stream the reason proposal is so much more interesting to me and my family that is we would be partners in the equity and profits of the joint Ventures Investment later in email writes all stakes in this company last one is 10 to the big guy senator, you have worked with joe biden in the senate, were aware his son was doing deals, and potentially as this email suggests, paying out himself as well as potentially the big guy meaning joe biden . I mean is this regular practice that sitting senator sitting Vice President is getting money because his son is doing deals while he is actual negotiating policy in china. Maria i dont know who in hexpresident is going to be it will be a close race whoever it is, whether President Trump, or mr. Biden this issue is not going away. And as big as as it is with china, it is even bigger. This is about the appearance that americas Foreign Policy can be bought. Many that we are for sale. All you have to do is hire the right person. And we need to get to the bottom of this, and i know some members of the media they dont they dont want to do anything to hurt mr. Biden, they are stepping on the story. But in the minds of American People they want some answers this one is not going away it should not. As i said the other night. Maria yeah. The message is sends americas Foreign Policy can be bought like a sack of positive, positive potatoes. The truck news we are getting this morning in terms of pretty provocative i say loosely pictures have nothing to do with business deals but something altogether, really deranged, good to have you on the program we will keep watching the story being, of course, senator john kennedy preorder my new book the cost trump, china and the american revival talking about all this next week we want to break when we come back i talk with white house ask chief of staff meadows join me on the other side of this break stimulus negotiations a lot more 1 days until election day Dagen Mcdowell, steve forbes we get back to them you are watching mornings with maria live on fox business, stay with us. 2. Maria welcome back. Stimulus stalemate senate to vote on 500 billion dollars skinny deal pbill democrats xopd to block a second time, Mitch Mcconnell is reviving the white house not to strike a deal with Speaker Pelosi, she seems hopeful something could be reached however, she is on bloomberg watch. The. I am note going to speak because do i think we have a shared value, not many, but a shared value, that finally to crush the virus that has been a changing from leaving over weekend when they put forth language it wasnt respectful what have we needed to do from standpoint of science to crush the virus. Maria joining me right now white house chief of staff mark meadows thank you so much for being here, you just heard nancy pelosi, does she really want to get a deal done or not . Mark . Well, you know it is interesting she says that this is all about respecting science it is really more about her political agenda. Maria. But i am optimistic. We do share one goal, and that is hopefully to get some kind of deal, in the next 48 hours or so, from here, i will actually leave to go have a discussions with some of our Senate Colleagues on the republican side as well as some of her Staff Members as relates to insurance provisions, and how to best make sure that those that of lost insurance during this virus he pandemic we can provide help the president has been very clear he wants to make sure that a we individual theness finsdz, for those americans that are hurting, during this unprecedented time while there is truly good news on the economic front, part or of this stimulus package, would actually be to attract some of the manufacturing on shoring needs as well. So, while we have not seen a lot of movement from Speaker Pelosi, we have seen more movement from the rankandfile democrats, in the house. Of i can saying negotiations enters new phase more on technically side of trying to get the language right, if we can agree upon the numbers we are still apart still a anybody of issues to work on. But the last 24 hours have moved the ball down the field. Maria what is getting in the way or standing in the way of a deal . Because the truth is, this insurance that you just mentioned Lindsey Graham said that nancy pelosi did not want to agree to Liability Insurance where with as somebody goes to a restaurant get sick, they want to sue the restaurant. That Liability Insurance protects the restaurant from that. Has she now agreed there should be Liability Insurance is that what you just said . Well she knows she is known for 90 days Liability Protection would be part of any deal, to have a discussion. Over the last several months, without really her privately acknowledging those ebb liabilitying protections were going to be part of any deal would just have been disingenuous what i am talking about there is really, on those that have lost their job lost insurance along with it how do we best make sure that they have the coverage they need, and how do we actually subsidize that that is not the Biggest Issue that is out there the Biggest Issues maim state and local assistance, we show that the actual numbers, in terms of revenue loss for state and local governments, to be in 250 to 275billiondollar range she is twice that number, closer to 500 billion that remains a stumbling block. For us more about china make sure we get some policies in place, that if we can agree upon a number, for that that that policy doesnt stand in the way so i will give you a prime example. And if we can we can add additional monies in terms of transportation on shoring i think there is a deal here to be made. Okay. So you want to add additional money so that you Incentive Companies to bring back manufacturing lines to america. Yeah, i mean that is what it is weve had a dependence on china that is i disproportionate to the manufacturing needs here in america so if we can do critical supply chains, and actually offer financial tax incentives for companies, to invest again here, in america, we are going to do that. Maria all right. We are going to take a break i want to ask more about some of the issues in front of the elections with 13 days to go well be right back i have got to ask you about00 lunn bombshell as well talking with mark meadows this morning at the white house. And well be right back. Nonvalvular afib can mean a lifetime of blood thinners. And if youre troubled by falls and bleeds, worry follows you everywhere. Over 100,000 people have left blood thinners behind with watchman. Its a onetime, minimally invasive procedure that reduces stroke risk and bleeding worryfor life. Watchman. Its one time. For a lifetime. Before money, people tools, cattle, grain, even shells represented value. Then currency came along. They made it out of copper, gold, silver, wampum. Soon people decided to put all that value into a piece of paper, then proceeded to wave goodbye to value, printing unlimited amounts of money as they passed the buck to the future. Thats why its time for Digital Currency and your investment in the grayscale funds. Go digital. Go grayscale. So youre a small bor a big one. Maria legitimate. So, maria the fact that i know so little about those emails, and what is apparently on Hunter Bidens laptop underscores the point that i just made this this is not part of Russian Disinformation Campaign the Intelligence Community has not been involved with Hunter Bidens laptop,0000 is u. S. Person would be subject to any investigation, regarding fraud or corruption, would be, rightfully jurisdiction of the fbi so fbi has had possession of this, what i can say without commenting on any investigation that they may have into corruption or fraud is to say that their investigation does not center around you russian disinformation, and Intelligence Community is playing no role with respect to that. That was director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe joining me monday discussing the hunter biden scandal, payouts to hunter biden, doing deals with he foreign governments, sources telling fox news his laptop has been in fbi possession for over a year, i am back with white house chief of staff mark meadows chief maudz feels a massive coverup underway we know laptop has been in the possession of the fbi, for a year, they didnt say anything, about it will, anything about the business dealings that that hunter biden was having with foreign governments, even as they you know nancy pelosi, left trying to impeach President Trump, in if january. Over ukraine. The same subject matter, that were talking about with hunter biden what is your take on all of this. My take is based on new emails and obviously, you keep referring to it agency hunter biden and that is really what a lot of people are referring to lets make sure we get it accurate, this is about the biden family, this is about big guy biden, joe biden, actually doing a payforplay scheme, so all of that information would have been very helpful to come out during the impeachment process. Because they were saying oh this all these dealings with burisma all that that is, you know that is shown to be not true actually the opposite. They were attacking President Donald Trump and his family, accusing them of the very thing that they were involved in, and i think it is important that we look at this. Over the coming days joe biden has to do a couple things he needs to answer for all this to suggest he had no knowledge of it is not actually uh supported by actual documents that are out there, more documents from what i have been told, to come, but it is important also, for us to understand, is while this President Donald Trump was creating jobs in america, the only thing that joe biden was doing was creating wealth for him and his family, so it is very important, right now, that we look at this, and get to the bottom of it before people go to the polls on november 3, people are already voting so it is a scandal of unetic proportions time we allow American People to see the truthing. Maria . I mean i think that is right, chief meadows weve got email here that basically goes through at a whole deal that hunter biden was setting up, the end of of the medium he says 10 of this is for the big guy the big guy assuming he was referring to his father. Joe biden. Is to how many other companies from interest Foreign Countries has joe biden taken money from while he was sitting Vice President . I mean this is straight out corruption paytoplay the media will not even look at it. Well, they are going to be forced to look at it in coming days as director ratcliffe indicated, this is not you russian disinformation. That was narrative they tried to put out there, you know here is interesting thing when they lose an election 2016 blame it on russia when joe biden and his family have very, very questionable emails activities blame it on russia. I can tell you see will we not just ukraine not just china where weve sold out but other countries as well. And paytoplay scheme that joe biden needs to answer, but time he comes clean he is hopeful he can run out clock the main sfrooet media investigative reporters taking a siesta seem intent letting him do that there are more documents to come. That is right you got commission on president ial debatings focusing on coronavirus because i guess that is where they believe the president is vulnerable. Is Foreign Policy going to come up . Does it matter that zrp Vice President biden doing deals on side negotiate Foreign Policy for the United States of america . Well, its got to come up not just from the National Security standpoint, which is one of the topics, but from a leadership standpoint. It will come up. It has to come up, if i were joe biden would i be worried about tomorrow night, because the kind of questions that he will get to answer, even if the moderator you doesnt ask them certainly he will get asked those types of questions, he will have a chance to respond but i think the other thing that is key here, maria is when we start to look at the connections when you put all the connections together, it is amazing how everybody has been silent on this issue, when ultimately there was a lot of information there, you know that senator johnson senator grassley asked for some whistleblower complaints, my understanding is those allege hundreds of millions of dollars in Money Laundering schemes, is to it is a house of cards about to fall down around joe biden. Wow hundreds of millions of dollars, in paytoplay schemes we are going to wait and look for those emails that you are referring to, we certainly will be reporting that quick on special counsel do you think we should have special counsel in place in you know chief meadows the last the president s critics the media, they wont even admitted to the unlawfulness in 2016 durham undergo a criminal investigation they wont even talk about the fact that there was embarrassment entrapment a coup to take down President Trump do you need a special counsel to continue this investigation . And a special counsel to look at hunter biden should joe biden win. I can tell you that, as senator kennedy said a few minutes ago this is not going to go away so if we need a special counsel, Going Forward i know is there have been discussions about that, a number of people recommending that, hopefully the fbi and doj are already investigating this. But, you know, my fear is is that the real story will come out after most people have voted, and they will consider the fraud person traded upon them because of lack of information. This is just extraordinary. Really. Quick before you go chief meadows President Trump tweeting about, releasing his interview, he walked out on an interview lesley stahl, he says he is going to release this interview ahead of 60 minutes airing it going to expose how fake biased sit down interview was a chief what can you tell us about that interview lesley stahl at the white house the president got up left. He didnt walk out the characterization of that, he spent over 45 minutes with lesley stahl i looked at every single minute of the interview and then some we have tape of every single minute, listen when you have a 60 minutes reporter they should be reporter not opinion journalist she came across within journalist than real reporter journalism should have standards we need to get to the bottom of it so i think the American People will be able to see it. All right. So the president will release that interview then before sunday, when they show it on 60 mints. There is a high probability more to come. Chief meadows good to see you this morning. Thanks so much answering tough questions American People want answered thank you mark meadows. Well be right back. Maria welcome back Goldman Sachs reportedly reaching a deal involving a bribery probe Cheryl Casone with details. Cheryl that is right maria the investment waifrng expected to pay about 2. 8 billion dollars, and wrongdoing malaysia won and db scandal according to the wall street journal this morning deal part of the settlement with Justice Department prosecutors accused of those involved embezzling billions, to cost goldman 5 billion to resolve the stock is about flat, here General Motors all new electric pickup teasing during super bowl unveiled supertruck from 0 to 60 in three seconds 350 miles on single charge, the model available next fall will cost 112 thousands thousand dollars features crabwalk mode diagnosely at low speed look at gm premarket up 2 1 2 finally disney blasting the state of california, over the state guidance opened theme parks amidst covid19 pooend calling calling guidelines arbitrarily, disneyland has been closed seven months, park opened 65 years ago, longest closure headlines back over to you. Maria wow a lot of companies would not be able to make it, seven months closed shutdown incredible thank you, taking on big tech what were looking at department of justice filing antitrust lawsuit against google saying illegally ebb preserving monopoly on internet searches, advertising google accounts for 90 all searches it has a dominant market share relationship with apple two companies kooifd working together to bolster each other, google response to suit a statement saying this, calling it deeply flawed joining me right now one of 11 state attorneys of general ashley moody thanks very much for being here state the case tell us where have the wrongdoing is, in this case. Well as you know, Bipartisan Group attorneys general have len looking at this sometime, and on both sides of the aisle people understand that there are concerns when one company has so much economic power and control over a market you said it when you have 90 of a market, when you are controlling what individuals can search, what ads they see, that is concerning, not only for consumers and how that might harm them but in terms of innovation other competitors this is a historic action, this will ensure Going Forward, fair competition for years to come affecting lives really of all americans, because we know Technology Touches the lives of all americans. Maria yeah, but ag goody let me ask you normally what you want to see, in a free democracy in if capitalism you want competitors come on to the scene you want to see somebody come on, and say yeah, i have got a better product than google, that is how it works out rather than having big governments hand come in say youve got too much power we are going to that i can that apple power away from you how come we havent competition in this space what is the problem . Why is it google has 90 market share. Absolutely, you are right. You always want to undertake these investigations and actions great concern you dont want government interfering in a fair competitive marketplace, unless, of course, unlawful competitive actions are taken by a company when allow it to have so much influence so much demeanor naps where exclusionary agreements undertaken pay ambulance to be sole provider, company that has technology on devices, if you in fact build a moat around your core product dont allow these are to enter that marketplace because you have achieved such dominance, that is where the problem lies other countries have already looked at this time that we do so in america, and attorney general of florida i will continue to work, in thank you bipartisan way with attorneys general and doj, to effectively pursue this action. Maria this is a real important point that you are making ashley if that is the case, that you have evidence that the doj has evidence, that they did create this moat around them so nobody o else could come into the market, steve forbes i to assume, you agree that something should be done i mean steve, you know you want to see competition in this the marketplace but there is none google has 90 market share in search. That is right. And also, though, i think they are going to have to show the actual harm done to consumers and competitors, to kind of vague right now i am sure they have evidence there to show that i illegalities were committed also distinguishing what eu did a few years ago google ended up paying a fine and things went socalled back to normal, i am wondering what ag learned er from what happened with eu in this suit what they are going to do differently than what eu did at a couple years ago. So that go ahead. That is correct, you know a lot of folks again both sides of the aisle are saying we need to make sure that we approach this case to ensure that whether that is through Company Behavior or some overcast reformation or structure we allow other companies in this space, that we promote innovation fair competition, that is the underlying perfect of this suit, that is is what we will as we move forward in the litigation, and discovery unfolds, that is what we will ultimately look at to determine what sort of resolution will allow more companies into this space. Maria all right. So really important conversation, ag moody we will watch your work thank you so much for joining us this morning laying it out ashley moody this morning bail versus scott bale on happy days reunion conservative celebrities being slammed on social media, wait till you see this dont miss it you are watching mornings with maria live on fox business. Yeah, you know i tweeted you were coming on because i told you before when a girl five, six years old you lived two blocks away from me in brooklyn i would watch you play basketball in your backyard telling me living in california largely liberal can you relate to what alley was up against supporting President Trump barbed on twrt by the mob probably dont even understand why she was sprrg President Trump dont understand policies at all. Maria i in convention 2016 for President Trump, i can i completely understand, and empathize what she is going throughive been whacked past four years, and by people who were supposed to be allinclusive understanding, loving. And they are all basically just fascists, you have to think outside what they think, i find it disgusting. It is disgusting, tell me why you are supporting the Trump Administration, what is it that resonates with you, a businessman in your own right, and obviously, have probably been impacted by some of those economic policies . I believe in the president because i believe in america. The i believe ib in all things america i believe in hard work individualism i believe in god i remove in my country i believe in military i believe in what this country is foundeded on, i had to go on 10 years with that i dont hate this cup like most liberals do i dont think it was founded in a bad way i love it so many opportunities to so many people, are so many opportunities out there for anybody no matter what you look like lifestyle is, i i dont understand running down this country, so to me, President Trump loves this is country wants its to be the best country in the world it is a america first, why wouldnt you want your child to be first when he runs a race she runs a race playing ball first, in that you want to be first in any competition, dont you want your country ebb to be first, it is just completely backwards to me. Maria request i always laughed at people who have a problem with idea of america first, by the president of the United States, what did you expect . A guy to come in say well i am president of america but lets put china first . Youre. He o taking place go ahead scott. Well that is what joe biden wants im sorry go ahead. China days away, 1 days 13 days away from election joe biden squarely in this crosshairs of, you know, a debate weather or not he took money, from Chinese Companies, kazakhstan companies ukrainain Companies Deal making by son biden do you think this will resonate with voters 13 days to election. Why i think early voting is bad all facts arent out about some of these people you go some people might be on fence im going to vote for biden because of trumps personality or some stupidest idea like that is this going to senate i think so one of those fires you cant put out i think if he did what he said that they say he did, it is damn bad and i dont know why are what happened to immediate in this country what happened to big tech in this country trying to quash every single thing negative about democrats, that is more disgusting to me more diabolical, that is scarier to me than anything. Suppression of speech is dangerous i agree with you, and, they just get in line, let me switch gears about happy days reunion a buzz this morning scott cast member ron howard announced reunion of your hit show in support of democrats 2020, the samos weighed in asking to play your character you remid should not you take care of aunt bessie, the full house colori lock lan. I think the samos always wanted to be him instead of second fiddle to 3yearold. And, when it comes to here is what i dont get to take a show like happy days, that represented traditional American Values good morals slice americana to use that show and those ideals to promote two people in joe bidens, Kamala Harris condone, are encourage foment rioting looting is bizarre to me. Maria gentleman and you dont agree with it, your character, you should have the right to say i dont agree with this i am not onboard, bottom line. I am not onboard, obviously, i dont believe in socialism and marks i have the good to snow the samos is part of the hollywood elite marxist crowd. Unbelievably scott baio we love you fans of yours, rooting you on see you soon scott baio joining us this morning back in a minute.
