It is same sort of thing what is the fbi doing with all the back channel in connection with an Ongoing Investigation by theyre not supposed to do pursuant to fbi policy by communicating directly without attribution, providing source material and, to the New York Times and others. Again that shouldnt be done but that is not going to be the focus of the inquiry. The question will be whether in those communication as are otherwise the fbi was disclosing as a result of its investigation classified material to news sources. If that happens, thats a problem. Well, i would say it is not surprising but just disappointing. This is something we figured was going on. We figured that the fbi was working with the democrats to cover up their own malfeasance so i think it is pretty telling instead of looking at what i had unearthed with my team, that where we had found that there was hundreds of unmaskings that had occurred and this was a major problem, these were the counterintelligence people, right . You would have thought, wait a second, why were all the unmaskings occurring . Why many things leaking out to the press . The chairman, myself at the time had actually wept publicly told all the media about this. So the very people, the Counterintelligence Team at the fbi, they had no interest in chairman of the House Intelligence Committee telling the American People that hey, leaks of classified information were getting out there. I just want to remind your viewers, that is what the Counterintelligence Division at the fbi was supposed to be doing. My guess is they all knew about this, they were covering it up. My guess is, this is only beginning of the spying. Im sure they were investigating me and all of my time because they were trying to cover their, you know, the path that they were on which was the path of deception and division in this country. Elizabeth well the fbi emails show that former fbi officials andrew mccabe, peter strzok, lisa page, they were emailing each other, they were concerned about what you were doing when you were head of house intelligence. They were emailing each other about your february 21st, 2017 News Conference where you called the Obama Administration trump probe a witchhunt and foregoing after general flynn. You were asking what laws were being broken . You were talking about major crimes of leaks of classified information at that time and you were talking about congress, legislative branch getting fisa wiretapped private conversations of citizens. So you think you were spied on too . Because carter page talked to us about the two hop fisa warrants. It was not just looking at carter page but who those people he talked to. That could have been you. Clearly what they were doing, not what they were supposed to be doing. That is my point to make sure the viewer understands. Counterintelligence is supposed to be taking leaks of classified information seriously. When i came out and said i had reviewed these documents and i wept out and publicly says, appears like number one there was no reason for this, but number two, a lot of the information leaked to the press. Now we know, i was able to listen to your earlier conversation in the last segment. We now know many of these people at the Counterintelligence Division were meeting with the people in the media that they were pushing this story to. This is much deeper, much more broad than i think any of us ever expected it to be and look, youre asking me a pointblank question, do i think they were spying on me . I dont know about spying in terms of actually listening in on my telephone calls but clearly they were strategizing, plotting, planning with the democrats on how they were going to keep this covered up. Look, i just expect and the American People ought to expect that when a highranking official from the legislative branch of government that is charged with overseeing the intelligence agencies, when we say, hey, i think there could be some leaks of classified information, i expect for that to be taken seriously.
