Dagen thank you so much, cheryl, we will see you shortly. Stocks ending mostly higher yesterday. Investors weighing recovery optimism, stimulus hopes along with worries about a second coronavirus wave. Joining the conversation the head of u. S. Rates for securities and cfa gregory, along with all morning long michael lee of michael lee strategies, chair of program and business and finance at kings college, Fox News Contributor Brian Brendberg and republican strategist founder ceo joseph pinion. Greg, to you first, looking at nasdaq, are the stocks overvalid here . Dagen, thank you very much for having me, so ton of fed liquidity. We were on march 20th and we talked about the market trying to find a little bit of a bottom. We think most of what we have seen today has been driven by central bank, fiscal liquidity and when we look at fed side, we have 3 trillion in balancing expansion, 2 trillion for the lending programs, 2 trillion more potentially from the lending programs, fiscal and monetary stimulus across the board. Weve been advocating volatility for clients in the last couple of weeks. We feel that we have have come a long way, virus potentially spiking again, we think its time for a sideways pause here. Dagen mike lee, get in here. What do you see for the yield curve Going Forward . Negligent i have rates in the future any seem soon . Thats a good question. We are not a big fan of negative rates and written and talked about this extensively. When you talk about the fed chair himself, they havent said definitely no but they have pushed back. When you look at other countries that have used negative Interest Rates you look at economic landscape its not at all clear that theres any practical evidence although i will say when you look at what negative rates will do for the bank, it would not only be punitive for the banks but the consumer n. My opinion and the feds opinion here, negative Interest Rates are off the table for now. In terms of the yield curve, largely directional. We had a nice steepening with the risk on trade. We have seen clients roll out the curve, grab some credit and yield in zerorate environment. We expect yield to be directional and curve to steepen out and we have a bit of inflation trade conversely we have moments like we are having today and yesterday we had long supply that went well where it flanked out. Dagen but Brian Brendberg, we talked about unprecedented response of the federal unlimited buying of treasuries, whats the downside of that . I dont want to sound like a worry here but there has to be some price to pay for what the Federal Reserve is doing, brian . Brian well, thats exactly related to prices, all the movement by the fed in the market really starting to distort prices but the other issue, greg, that i would like to ask you about even with all the fire power of the fed, the coronavirus comeback and the threat of lockdowns, that would be catastrophic to real economy, when does that start to show up fears that are rising in market prices because i dont think we are seeing them right now . Yeah, i think, brian, thats a great question. I think some of the volatility is starting to to reflect that, more specifically, though, when you listen to the fed and listen to powell, cap line, they are really saying, look, we have seen a lot here but the bigger risk is how we reopen the economy around the virus and that is that is a real risk. It may not be entirely present to your point that we are seeing right now but certainly as we move into the summer months we get a little more deeper into this reopening, thats certainly going to be a risk factor but i think for now right here, you know, the fed has done a lot. They are pushing back on the fiscal side and they have clearly pushed back in powells testimony this week to say we need fiscal support, kristin lagard this morning said the eu needs to get this passed. Central banks have been active for 10, 12 years since the last financial crisis so we certainly need fiscal help here. To your point, brian, its a good one, the health side of the equation as we move into the fall it would be just as important as monetary side. Dagen can we rely on peoples whose predictions were wrong in the first place, so much of what we heard from Health Experts and even leaders of states and cities across the country was just wrong, projections were wrong. Greg, you focus, i fully acknowledge that you study and focus on fixed income and Interest Rates. Given that, i raise the issue of the overvaluation of technology stocks, so apologies for that, however, in terms of risks, if you look at how fact tech has run and you look at the election risk thats on the horizon, are these i worry that these Bigtech Companies are in are in focus for democrat or republican in the white house and people in congress for breakups and i wonder if thats factored into this market. Yeah, certainly any time youre in allowinterest rate environment like this, it could lend itself to excessive risk taking. Theres been a lot of talk about moral hazard. When you listen to powell he was asked explicitly, dagen, some of the things that youre bringing up right now and he said he wasnt worried at all about equity valuations. I dont think the fed is going lay off the gas here. Theres obviously been a lot of talk about speculation here, you know, robin hood accounts and Young Millennials getting involved in terms of speculating on the market which is which is clearly a concern. Like i said from our perspective we think markets have come a long way since march and we think given a lot of variables that are out there right now it makes sense at minimum that we volatility here. Thank you, greg. Sorry for putting you on the spot. We cover it all. Its great to be, thank you very much. Blake hi, there, dagen, a defeat for President Trump in the Supreme Court as chief Justice John Roberts cited with four liberal justices on the court saying that daca cannot be rescinded by the Trump Administration. Youll remember that was executive order signed by president obama 8 years ago back in 2012 which allowed for the deferred deportation for people brought into the u. S. Illegally when they were children. The ruling does not address the merits, rather it declared the manner in which the department of Homeland Security stopped the program as, quote, unquote, arbitrary and capricious. The former president hailing the decision on twitter writing in part, quote, we may look different and come from everywhere but what makes us american are our shared ideals and now to stand up for those ideals we have to move forward and elect joe biden and Democratic Congress that does its job, protects dreamers and finally creates a system thats truly worthy of this nation of immigrants once and for all. President trump weighed in with several tweets as well writing at one point, quote, these horrible and politically charged decisions coming out of the Supreme Court are shotgun blasts into the face of people that are proud to call themselves republicans or conservatives, we need more justices or we will lose our Second Amendment and Everything Else, vote trump 2020. Now, another tweet and the president went onto say that there needs to be new justices on the Supreme Court and he said that in the upcoming months he will be releasing a new list of potential Supreme Court justice nominees should he ever have the chance to nominate additional justices on to the court, youll remember back in the 2016 election President Trump produced a similar list as well. Dagen. Dagen blake berman, thank you so much for that, great to see you. Joseph, to you first. I wrote this down, this decision by the Supreme Court against the Trump Administration puts judicial picks potential scotus nominee and immigration front and center in this election. Look, one of the reasons that trump got elected in 2016 is highly documented because there are people so concerned about the Supreme Court. To that end, weve gotten two Supreme Court nominees in justice kavanaugh. I think at the end of the day what we need to be focused on is President Trumps own commitment. I think President Trump on many occasions has said that he has a great hearts for the dreamers. I think most americans believe that one to have hallmarks of american liberty is that we do not punish children for the actions of their parents, so i think politically speaking we are talking about how can we actually lever democrats to actually do the right thing to engage and help the very people they claim they want to see have a pathway to the American Dream and i think President Trump has been very clear on that. Dagen brian, joseph gets to the heart of the issue. Washington journal has oped of daca and how president obama gave coverage to the daca children, but the Supreme Court ruled against trump for using the same power, if you will, and the journal points out we support the legalization of the 700,000 or so immigrants as a matter of fairness and contributor to American Life but this is an issue for congress. What say you . Brian regardless of how you feel about daca its a bizarre decision, easier to enact an unlawful regulation than it is to repeal it and you can imagine what kind of bad behavior thats going to incentivize for president s when they know they can put something in place thats incredibly difficult to unwind and the problem here by not dealing with the issue, now congress has much less reason to come back to the table and actually cut a deal on this that the American People want to see. Its just delayed. You will see delay by congress now. Dagen and the journal to end with this points dangerous precedent. Roberts joined case, so is the intimidation by Senate Democrats of the court working . We will be right back t every single time that i suit up, there is a chance that thats the last time. 300 miles an hour, thats where i feel normal. I might be crazy but im not stupid. Dagen spike in coronavirus cases, more than half the country 26 states seeing a rise in confirmed virus infections. Florida shaping up to be the next epicenter according to university of pennsylvania scientists there. Researchers say that the risk there is worse than ever. The state reporting record high cases this week. Joining me now Johnson Hopkins school of Public Health professor former World Health Organization collaborator fox news medical contributor dr. Marty makary. Dr. Marty, dig into the headlines are we seeing number of rising in cases in part because of more testing . Well, good morning, dagen, we are seeing the rising number and the concern is not necessarily institutional spread, that is meat packing plans, this is from daily activity. Now theres a high concentration of more cases among migrant workers, people that live in lowincome housing, people that live in condensed situations under the same roof and take public buses to work which is a controversy in florida. That may be driving a lot of it. Dagen how do we prevent it then . I was looking at some research or data that was reviewed by a stanford medical professor and this goes back to what we were told in the very beginning of this outbreak, 80 of americans who died from covid19 are older than 65 with the median age of 80. The whole point was to protect those most vulnerable to death, the elderly and certainly in the case of new york, we did not put those elderly people in Nursing Homes at risk, so what are we doing to prevent a real rise and death from the virus . Doctor well, dagen, the recognition from the medical community that its not routine brief interactions where theres direct contact or touching contaminated surfaces but instead from our own air when we breathe out micro droplets and that can float in the air. Indoor areas with poor ventilation is major driver of spread. Thats why we are seeing outbreaks in austin, texas, bars among young people even though case fatality is lower and may explain why new york got hammered because of the poor ventilation in Public Transit and in elevators. Dagen right, which we kept the subways open for way too long, theres been Research Done by that and how it accelerated the spread here. If you wear this is a simple question, im on a bus going to work or going somewhere Public Transit, if i wear a mask, can i sit next to somebody if they are wearing a mask . Doctor well, generally recognized when its not feasible thats when you wear a mask. So it helps and i do feel comforted when people are Wearing Masks when they are closer together. Dagen now in california we have that. A new study, i want to ask you coronavirus antibodies, new studies say it only lasts a few months if a person is infected. Your take on this. Doctor i feel strongly that there are enough surrogate indicators that the immunity last for years because they do with the other known coronaviruses, if you look at sars and mers, the viruses give immunity of at least 3 years and we are not seeing reinfections, we have looked closely in china and we are not seeing reinfections where patients are symptomatic. Dagen thats great news, marty, great to see you, dr. Marty makary, we will see you soon, take care. New fox news polls out this week show that former Vice President joe biden Holding Steady in his lead over President Trump nationwide. Biden is 12 Percentage Points ahead of the president in latest numbers, last month he was 8 points up. Joining me now Washington Examiner editorial director hugo gurdon, hugo, always great to see you. If you go into these numbers, though, and we know that the National Polls are less important than say the state by state polls and in 5, if you look at real clear politics average in 5 critical swing states that President Trump won in 2016 joe biden is ahead in the polling average, so even if you dig down state by state, biden is leading. Gordon yeah, dagen. The polls are looking pretty bad for trump at the moment and we passed the point i think where its possible to say, well, its very long time before the election so the polls dont mean very much. What we are seeing and we are only 4 and a half aways from the november election is the biden lead widening. President trump falling further behind and as you say its not just the National Poll which fox brought out which is a bit of a serious blow to trump where hes 12 points behind biden, there are states which trump won, for example, iowa where hes now its now a tossup. Theres bad news in terms of the closeness of the race, for example, in florida which was one which Trump Campaign thought it had in its pocket. So President Trump is currently being forced to defend states that he thought were, you know, were going to be his. You know, there was a time not that long ago where trump and the campaign thought that they could take minnesota, now they are having to defend states that they won back from Hillary Clinton and from the democrats like michigan and wisconsin. Dagen the 5 states that i was referring to where biden in the real clear politics polling average is ahead of President Trump are wisconsin, pennsylvania, michigan, florida, arizona and North Carolina its a dead heat, its a tie right now. If you dig into this the fox news poll, joe bidens lead comes from the backing of black voters, 79 points over trump. Thats not surprising. Young people, suburban areas, women, but also voters who are 65 years of age or over, meantime President Trump is underperforming his vote share among key groups white evangelical christians and rural voters where hes not where he was in 2016 with those groups of voters. What changes between now and november and how . Gordon well, you know, take the elder the more elderly vote, 65 and older, President Trump has suffered because they believe that his handling to have covid pandemic has been sloppy and incoherent and, of course, people of that age are the most vulnerable to the disease, so they are particularly focused on on that. As you say, its various different sectors. Evangelicals, for example, the decision earlier this week by the Supreme Court relating to sex discrimination in the workplace, that cast a shadow over the claim that President Trump has been able to make for the past nearly 4 years that he is putting conservatives on the court who will be textualists. Dagen it expanded workplace protections to the lgbtq individuals in the United States. Lets turn to facebook because, again, this is bad news for Technology Companies in my opinion. The company removed dozens of ads from President Trumps Reelection Campaign and included a red triangle symbol used by nazis to label prisoners in concentration camps. The symbol was used to identify communist and far left individuals, Facebook Says the company prohibits the use of hate group symbols in advertisement unless the ad is specifically condemning them. On the flip side, antifa uses this symbol as well but if you add up what is going on where google is working in coordination with nbc news to shut down conservative websites, namely the federalist, and then you also have twitter getting into what is the censorship of speech particularly of conservatives, how does this play out . Gordon this is a very serious and growing concern amongst conservatives and frankly it should be a growing concern across the country. The social media are stepping in to limit and censor speech. The thing about the red triangles, for example, that were taken down by facebook, yes, they were originally used by the nazis but they have been adopted to some extent by antifa, you know, i was looking online today, you can buy merchandise such as bumper stickers and Water Bottles with the triangle and antifa name on them, so its not as though the Trump Campaign is wrong that these have been used by antifa, they may not be commonly used by antifa but even the New York Times says theres no indication that the Trump Campaign was aware of the of the origins of the use of red triangle. Symbols are being taken down, it makes the Trump Campaign really bad even though its acknowledged by paper obviously against President Trump and theres no indication that he used them for that purpose. Dagen joseph. Just a quick question here, i think to your point we are getting into the slippery slope place with social media forms, almost appears as if somehow its not the symbol itself but who is allowed to use the symbol, the fact that facebook is so concerned about hate groups and yet we still have isis, groups for antifa and every manner of organization that promotes hates and yet somehow we cant actually have a conversation around that hate thats being promoted on the platform. To your point, what are the things that facebook can do or should be thinking about as we look at the regulations surrounding the social media forms and their decisions to try to editorialize their platforms . Well, you know, the debate is about whether or not facebook should be a platform or a publisher. You know, if facebook is controlling and stepping in to to make editorial decisions, you know, then it it should be fair minded. Facebook and google control an enormous amount of the information that people get on which they base their political decisions. It has to be the case that in a country, in a democracy where theres free speech that you dont have corporations controlling the information and the opinions that people are allowed to read and the news reporting that theyre allowed to read. Dagen right. Gordon google has 80 of the search market. You know, thats a real monopoly and something that Congress Needs to look at and Congress Needs to look at. Dagen hugo, great to see you, just to put an exclamation point on that. If google as in the case of the threat to the federalist and what google did with zero hedge, if they deplatform you, they demonize you, they deprive you of ad revenue and they essentially shut you down. It is they put you out of business, thats whats going on. The power there is terrifically astonishing, but right and left, they let it happen down in congress. They let the Companies Get so big and now i think all speech is paying the price. Hugo gurdon, good to see you this morning. Take care, see you soon. Scott thank you for having me, we had a zoom call for our seniors several weeks ago and when i was looking at their faces there was disappointment in their faces and i was already on the fence about going around and seeing them and when i made the announcement that i was going come visit them with their diplomas there was just joy and the rest is history. Dagen scott, the students come from all over the state of texas, talk about the journey across the state, explain that . Sure thing. Our students come from all over the Dallas Fort Worth of the metroplex. Dagen what was the reaction from the students when you showed up at their homes . Scott one of our core values was to ignite joy and thats what i saw in students and parents and each one of the stops was unique and different and just to see happiness in the midst of the pandemic made every moment worthwhile. Dagen i promise not to tear up, but my whole life, i majored in art history when i was in college and certainly a lot of people on social media mocked me for that nowadays given what i do but i always have talked about the power of the visual and performing arts when youre connecting with young people, when they are trying to find that one thing that theyre great at, it not only lifts up everyones spirits but you can really define a persons whole life if you can connect with them early on which is what youre doing in your high school, finding the hidden talent, if you will. Thats part of our vision, the creative revolutionary that is we have at our school, the students are going to write the next chapter of our society and certainly as artists we see that creative spirit within each and every one of them positioning them to be able to do that and the rest of their lives. Dagen the graduates in the short run, what are they going on to do, college, are they entering the workplace even right after high school, what are their plans . We have students that are going directly into the music industry, students that are practicing visual arts, amazing works of metal sculptor and we have students that are going off to the Armed Services and the academies and conservatories, all over the country and even the world. Dagen thats so exciting, my nieces are in the arts and have gone to, you know, gone to high school and onto college for the performing arts and the visual arts, so i i understand this connection and the power that these these young people take with them as they head out into the world. This is an opportunity to entice a generation of new fans, we engage old fans. When the nba season begins next month in in wallet disney world, players will reportedly have the option of wearing a ring and can give Early Warning signs of coronavirus. I think its called the ora, brian, your reaction . Brian now you have a league that actually has got its stuff together and getting things done and giving players the option to wear this ring, measures temperature, heart rate and can give you 95 success rate advanced notice if you may contract coronavirus, so another one of these things that helps keep players safe and allows the league to get back at it unlike the mlb. Dagen right, and i will say that tony fauci does not see the nfl happening unless the league adopts the nba bubble plan, so hes throwing cold water on that. Finally, getting back to the movies, amc announcing it will resume operations in 450 of its locations july the 15th with new safety measures, reduce seating, new cleaning procedures but no requirement for face masks. Look, at end of the day, youre talking about an industry that has hundreds of millions of jobs, youre talking about close to 200 billion in economic productivity, so we need to put americans back to work, but more importantly i think we need to give people the opportunity to feel normal again, to engage in the old american past time of being able to go to the movies. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the ruling, saying we do not decide whether daca is a sound policy, we address whether the agency complied with the procedural requirement that it provides a reasoned explanation for the action. Senator tom cotton said roberts should resign from the bench and run for office. The fired Atlanta Police officer charged with murder in Rayshard Brooks death is going to appear in court today. Garrett rolf turned himself in to authorities overnight. He is facing 11 charges including felony murder. Prosecutors will ask that rolf be held without bail. And the attorney for devin brosnan, the second officer charged in the shooting death of brooks, says he has not agreed to be the states witness in the case. Brosnan, who has been on administrative leave, is charged with aggravated assault. Supporters of President Trump turning out in force ahead of tomorrows Campaign Rally in tulsa, oklahoma. The crowd of at least 100,000 people is expected to attend despite a Record Number of covid19 cases in the area. The trump Campaign Says everyone who attends to event will have their temperature checked and will be given a mask and hand sanitizer. Facebook and twitter say they see no evidence of foreign governments interfering in the black lives matter protest. They say they have not seen the use of fake accounts to share or amplify content. Concerns grow that russia or other of countries are plotting to disrupt the 2020 president ial election of. Those are your top headlines from the newsroom. Dagen thank you so much. Daca remains, the Supreme Court ruling that the obama era deferred action for Childhood Arrivals Program protecting socalled dreamers who were brought to the United States as minors from being deported was improperly ended by the Trump Administration. Chief Justice John Roberts pointed to the white houses procedure for the decision, writing for the 54 majority of, writing this, quote, the dispute before the court is not whether dhs may rescind daca. The dispute is about the procedure the agency followed in doing so. Joining me now is florida congressman, member of the house judiciary and oversight and reform committees, greg stubi. Good to see you. Now what for the republicans . Well, whats interesting is, this is a program that was created by executive order by the obama administration. Congress didnt create this program. Obama created this program. For the court to say legally that a president can create a program by executive order but a next president cant disable that program by executive order to me flies in the face of the law, flys in the face of common sense and to say that they dont have an appropriate reason. In his ruling he says all of us agree he can get rid of it, the agency didnt give an appropriate reason as to why. I understand im upset and i understand why all conservatives in the country are upset right now. Dagen ultimately this is an issue for congress, is it not . When the republicans held the house in the first two years of President Trumps administration and they controlled the senate, why didnt you do something about it . This is absolutely something that should be done in congress. One of the challenges that the house faces even if we take the majority back is the 60 vote policy in the senate. So right now even though its a republican senate, to get anything passed they have to go to Chuck Schumer and the democrats to pick up 70 votes votes to get to that 60 vote threshold. Its difficult to pass pieces of legislation especially in reforming something as controversial as immigration. Dagen i want to move on to covid, the coronavirus cases spiking in florida. The state saw more than 3200 new cases of the virus with 86,000 cases total. Do you think its safe to continue reopening in florida, congressman . I absolutely think its safe to continue to reopen of. Youre seeing the spike in cases because youre seeing 200,000 people in florida a week being tested which is double more than double the amount of people that were being tested a month ago. The left wing mea media were criticizing governor de santis, despite the fact we have more people in florida, way less deaths in florida and a more elderly and diverse population. Its the left wing media criticizing the decisions of republican governors. We need to open up the economy. We can do it and do it safely. The real issue is icu beds and making sure the hospitals have the capability to take care of everyone. Thats the case in my district in florida and in the case in florida overall. Dagen brian. Brian congressman, you hit it a second ago. The problem i have with the reporting on the increase in cases, it doesnt say anything about how the hospitals are doing. In florida, that matters. The average age as i understand it or new coronavirus cases has gone from 65 to 37. Thats a huge difference and it probably means that hospitals are in better shape even as the number of infections go up. Is that the case in florida . Why dont we see that number reported more often . Well, to your point, why dont we see the number of people actually recovering from covid19 and being released from the hospital. You dont see that number anywhere. In my district, i talked to my Emergency Management officials in the state of florida and my hospital ceos, nosh has given me any nobody has given me any concerns they dont have enough icu beds. Everybody has plenty of ventilators in florida. Were prepared if there is a spike that requires people to be hospitalized. Youre not hearing all of the people that are recovering from the virus or that did go into the hospital that are being released. Dagen before we move on, i want to point out that governor you mentioned the nursing home problem. Again, that order signed by Governor Cuomo in late march that sent covid positive patients back into Nursing Homes and forbid the Nursing Homes from testing for the virus. Governor cuomo said yesterday in an interview that criticism of the nursing home deaths are just a shiny object and pure politics. So when you think his behavior cant be more appalling, when you think the governor here in new york cant be more loathe loathesome, he surprises us and goes even lower. Former Vice President joe biden opening a big lead, the latest fox news poll shows the former Vice President leading President Trump by 12 points nationally. It shows that nearly twothirds of biden spar tears are moat spasupporters are motivated by r that the president will win reelection. It was the reverse that helped President Trump in 2016, more now its flipped, congressman. Well, in florida these are the same poll thats had Hillary Clinton beating trump in florida by 10 and 15 points. I dont think the polling is accurate. It hasnt been accurate in the past. Look at 2016 before the president ial election. Were bringing his no nominatioo our party back here to florida and jacksonville because you had a democratic governor in North Carolina who was refusing to allow us to go up there and congregate for our convention. I feel good about where were at in florida. The 1. 8 million trump voters will be out in force in the general election in november and those people arent being polled because theyre not typical voters that vote every election cycle. Dagen joseph, you want to jump in. Joseph congressman, i think you hit the nail on the head. I think President Trump is gearing up to renew his efforts for reelection as we see with the rally coming up. My question to you and possibly to the administration is why arent we leaning in more as a party to this moment, to have what ive called trumps lbj moment, to pass some type of meaningful landmark legislation that stands the test of time and really to leave no doubt that the Republican Party can and should lead on this issue and to take away the arguments that democrats have a claim to have ownership of. We have been. We announced a bill yesterday that addressed a lot of the issues that would solve a lot of problems youre seeing across the country about officers not being trained with the standards they should be trained at, bad cops going from one place to another. Theres hundreds of cosponsors to that bill, over 100 cosponsors. Tim scott is working on a bilker worked together with republican leaders. Youre not going to hear the left talk about that. They want to to talk about what they think is going to energize their base and be more offensive. Dagen congressman, great to see you. Take care. We have a lot to talk about this morning. Later this hour, i speak with the niece of dr. Martin luther king, junior, dr. Al se alvita ks here. At 8 00 a. M. , i speak to former Senior Advisor to president george w bush, karl rove, as joe biden builds his lead over the president. Dagen tax hikes after covid19, nashville, tennessee approving a 34 increase in property taxes in abeffor an efr the city to make up for lost revenue. Nashvilles mayor taking to twitter to address the tax hike, writing this. The crisis Budget Approved tonight stabilizes metro finances, maintains essential services. The large tax increase is something i would not have considered were we not facing nashvilles greatest financial challenge. California and colorado looking into possible property tax increases. Mike, what say you . Mike nashville can probably withstand this because they are one of the Population Center growths of the country. People are moveing there in droves. However, this is going to slow that and theres lots of other of places across the country where its going to be a problem, like, say, new york city where its illegal to open your business but okay for somebody to go in and loot it. So this is a problem thats going to be with us for many years to come as people pick up the pieces from the damage here. Dagen joseph, your hometown is hiking taxes. Joseph well, i mean, hiking taxes is nothing new where i come from in yonkers. Were the only city in the entire state of new york outside of new york city with our own dedicated personal income tax. I think what youre going to see around the country is as you have less people who have the ability to make an income because of government mandates, were going to see local municipalities shifting that financial burden to the people who ultimately have been supporting their bottom line the most. So i think those businesses, those people with higher incomes, theyre going to be the ones shouldering the burden for the rest of america and ultimately i think, again, those are the people who are going to get hit the hardest, more so than the main street with liquidity problems. Dagen brian, it becomes a downward financial spiral for of cities across the country. Weve seen it happen before, say in detroit, for example. But in new york city you have people you can see it every weekend, there are moving trucks everywhere. You see it in the number of new leases signed for rental apartments. People are fleeing the city. They cant even they cant get out of here fast enough. Your tax base leaves, your spending is extremely high if not higher and then you have raise taxes again and again and again on the people who are still stuck here and cant get out of the city. And it becomes an unending downward spiral. Brian the problem with the hike like this in nashville is will it every come back down . I told the people of nashville to bake in a sunset clause. I bet they didnt. Nashville is a place people will go after leaving new york city. With a hike like this, it will slow it down a little bit. This is a city dependent on tourism as it is. They need more people coming. It flies in the face of everything that attracts people to the city of nashville. Dagen you hit the nail right on the head. What happens is people from new york and other deep, deep blue cities and states, they move to these beautiful places in the country with low or no taxes, texas, nevada, florida, they move there for the low taxes but then take their liberal ideas with them and then taxes, because they become a bigger part of the voting base, start going up. Joseph, its going to play out in the election in november. Joseph well, look, i think, again, if youre talking about what this election will really be about, its about individuals making sure that they got 7 million new jobs with President Trump, how many are able to go back to work. I think to your point about nashville, lets be very clear. In my hometown of yonkers, the personal income tax was supposed to sunset after 30 years. I have news for you, people. We still have it to this day. Taxes that get enacted rarely go away. I think Many Americans need to confront the fact that youre talking about on the fact that we have individuals who claim that these policies are so great and yet at the same time are doing everything humanly possible to get away from them as fast as humanly possible. The pandemic taking a toll on peoples finances, americans skipping payments on more than 100 million loans since the coronavirus hit the United States. Major increases occurred for personal loans in deferment, doubling to 1. 3 million accounts. Auto loans doubling, 7. 3 million, personal loans, largest increase occurred in Student Loans, 79 million accounts in deferment, up from 18 million one month earlier. Joining me now the wall street journal senior writer, jon hilsenrath. Jon, i always love having you here for perspective. How worrisome is this . Well, its kind of a mixed picture on a couple levels. First of all, when we look at where people are missing payments, a lot of it is on Student Loans and the creditor there is the federal government. The federal government is the player in the student loan business. So its not like a shock to the Banking System itself. Its more debt basically that the federal government is taking on. In terms of the health of households, its a mixed picture. Dagen, you know this as well as anyone. If you look at the savings numbers that have come out recently, theyre actually way up. People got all these payments from the federal government over the last few months and they put them in their bank account. So i think its a mixed picture on just how big a hit this is to households right now. The one thing that theres no question about is that the federal government has enormous amounts of debt. That isnt going away anytime soon. Dagen im going to put you on the spot. I know you can handle it. This is actually i started thinking about this topic, based on an article that was written in the wall street journal about how the best job market for black americans just disappeared in a matter of months. And the wall street journal wrote this. That theres less job security and wealth than whites leaving black americans vulnerable when the economy shuts down with the Unemployment Rate tripling and going up a little bit in the month of may, tripling from earlier this year to may. Looking back at historic Unemployment Rates for black americans, over 10 from september 1974 for over 20 years, to 1994. And i looked at Technology Companies. These are the most progressive, the most kind of cutting edge in terms of advancement of people and diversity. But if you look at the breakdown of the employees there, these companies are not diverse. Just facebook is one example. The overall workforce at facebook is less than 4 black americans. In technical job, just one andahalf percent of the people in technical jobs at facebook are black. Its the same for almost all of the Technology Companies. Whats going to be done about this, jon . Well, i think thats a really fair and important question because a lot of those tech jobs are good jobs. They pay well. And theyre great career paths. And i think you could trace this in all kinds of different directions. One place that i would trace it is to our Education System. Is our Education System failing africanamericans . And even come at that from either the right or the left. You could say it is because were not giving africanamericans choice to go to the schools that they want to go to. Thats something the president has talked about. But, you know, those are high skilled, high tech jobs and i think we have to do a better job of providing equal opportunity to everybody in education to get those jobs, perhaps the country isnt living up to its values on that front. And i think people need to be open minded about how you get there. I think a lot of conservatives would say school of choice, you know, a lot of liberals would say we have to pour money into public schools. The answers are hard to come by. Were not doing the job very well. Dagen i didnt mean to put you on the spot but its something on my mind and we have discussions off the air all the time about a whole host of economic topics. But i approached a technology ceo not that long ago who grew up in a very rural part of the country, where Unemployment Rates even in good times in certain communities can be 20 or higher. I grew up in a really small rural southern town and i always felt like why havent these companies moved into these areas where the job disappear, why arent they putting tech centers in the rural south for example. Why arent they hiring people right out of high school and training them . And going into these Small Schools and just because the eagerness and the talent and the work ethic, it is there. It is there to harness. And you just have all the most Progressive Companies in this country dont do a damn thing about it and its incredibly distressing. Frankly, a lot of companies outsource jobs to india or the philippines instead. I would say in part we have to look back at our Education System and frankly we have to look this is something ivanka trump has talked a lot about. We have to look at what we do as a country for training and retraining workers. You know, frankly, when we open trade to the rest of the world and particularly to china, we abaabandoned millions and millis of factory workers and told them to retrain themselves and we didnt really as a country give them the tools or the resources to be able to do that. And again, thats a left and a right thing. We just we abandoned millions of workers in places like West Virginia and North Carolina and virginia in the furniture industry, in the steel industry, in the coal industry. We never really figured out how to get them retrained for those kinds of jobs that youre talking about. Its a major undertaking and it is kind of tragic that so much time has gone by without it dagen i target Technology Companies because they are made up of extremely liberal employees. Their policies are liberal. You have a tim cook who loves to preach to the country, preach to his employees, quote dr. Martin luther king, junior and if you look at an apple, overall 9 of apples employees are black americans. While the u. S. Population is 13 . In leadership, its 3 in Technology Jobs its 6 black americans. So thats why i brought that up. In terms of the longlasting impact, jon, weve heard a lot about this, particularly from jay powell that its going to take years for the u. S. Economy to recover from this. President trump in an interview with the wall street journal, he was more optimistic, saying that recent monthly job gains, retail sales gains show a quicker recovery. Where do you fall in that or where is your analysis come down . Well, so the fact is, we dont know. Because the recession that we just experienced was unlike anything that weve seen anywhere. Usually recessions happen when theres some kind of excess that builds up in the economy. There was a tech bubble in the 90s, there was a real estate bubble in the 2000s, there was a commercial real estate bubble in the 1990s. This was a case where it was like the economy got hit by you a meteor. And so we dont know how its going to play out. I mean, i think there will be a snapback this summer. I think there is pentup demand and there are savings in peoples accounts, savings accounts. But the longer run, what kind of longer term sparring happened because of this meteor shock . We dont know. I think its probably not wise to promise that everything gets back to normal in a few months time because we dont know. Dagen jon, thank you for playing ball. I didnt mean to spring that on you. Thats okay. Dagen i like the organic conversations that we can have on the air and off the air. You too, dagen. Dagen jon hilsenrath, thank you so much. Still ahead, the niece of dr. Martin luther king, junior, dr. Alveda king, joins me to commemorate juneteenth after the break. And then dr. Faucis nfl warning, why the Health Expert says we may see our first fall without football. Dagen today is juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and the holiday taking on a whole new significance this year amid protests across the country over racial injustice. For the first time ever, a growing number of major corporations like nike, twitter, target, jc penney and jp morgan are observing it as a paid holiday. Joining us now the niece of dr. Martin luther king, junior, dr. Alveda king. Dr. King, your thoughts on this juneteenth and your reaction to the growing number of companies and even regions of the country observing it . This is a dream come true for me, the acknowledgement broadly of juneteenth, as an africanamerican woman i have celebrated juneteenth for many years. In the bible juneteenth would be associated with jubilee, a time of liberty, repe repentence and restoration. The little babies in the womb, i hope theres a juneteenth for them. However, on skin color basis, although we are only one race, were not separate races, were not races according to skin color, were not color blind, we can see each other but weve not learned that we are one group. Martin luther king, junior said we should live together as brothers and sisters. Juneteenth in america being celebrated and acknowledged even in the economic era is a very good sign for america. Dagen and ill point out in terms of making juneteenth a federal holiday, like a day honoring dr. Martin luther king, junior, u. S. Senator john cornyn in texas is planning to file a bill to make juneteenth a federal holiday. Youd like that. I would like that. As a matter of fact, im going to talk to President Trump on saturday, tomorrow, during this season and there was a very terrible incident in tulsa against african americas, you need to look up that history. I think things like that have to be rectified. We have to acknowledge the sins of the past, come together as brothers and sisters. So i believe a National Juneteenth holiday is certainly appropriate as well. Its time. Its past dagen you mentioned what happened dr. Alveda, you mentioned what happened in tulsa. It was this prosperous black community, you said it was like a small wall street, if you will, in tulsa and the destruction and devastation there. That raises the issue on this day of history. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in the rural south, starting Elementary School in the 70s where at least half of my educators and teachers were black men and women. Largely black women. At least half, if not more than half, through Elementary School and into middle school an even into high school. And i learned the history of black americans, i learned it from firsthand accounts of what the jim crow south was like and the oppression and just violence and its horrific but i dont think enough People Living today know it. This is time for us to see our history, know our history, learn our history, as President Trump said we all bleed the same. We are human beings, not separate races. We are one human race. Juneteenth should be celebrated, this is not a time for fighting, this is a time for learning our history. And i think thats marvelous that you had that beautiful experience growing up. Many people need to share those beautiful unifying good experiences. This is the time to share, not to repeat our history, to stop fighting, to start communicating so we can learn to live together as brothers and sisters. And we will not parish as fools perish as fools. We can do this. I know we can. Dagen dr. Alveda king, great to see you. This day, any day. You take care. Thank you. Dagen blessings office. Coming up, athletes from all arenas are eyeing a comeback, but dr. Anthony fauci warns of no football this fall if the league cant adopt a Proper Health and safety plan. Come on. Dagen baseball pitching a return, the mlb Players Union making an offer to to owner including a 70 game regular season and expanded playoffs for 2010 and 2021. The proposal immediately rejected. And fall without football, dr. Fauci saying the 2020nfl season will not happen unless the league adopts a similar approach as the nba, keeping players in a bubble, isolated from the community and tested every day. Joseph, i dont know which sport you love more, baseball or football, but your reaction . Joseph look, i think dr. Fauci is right. I think when you look at the dynamics at play with the nfl, youre talking about particularly for preseason a 90 person roster, the regular season, 55 person roster. Those individuals have spouses and children. I think its important for them to understand whats at play here. The opportunity to keep their players in a bubble because otherwise theyre going to be dealing with real Health Consequences if all of a sudden if we understand that mrsa can be transmit inned a locker very easily, we should understand that covid19 places a similar if not greater risk. Dagen do you care if baseball comes back . Joseph look, i mean, i think to the earl year point, baseball has always had an opportunity to have a unifying effect on america. I think when you look at with the aftermath of george floyd, part of the reason we dont acknowledge as much the fervor weve had of people in the streets is because there are no distractions. There are no lebron james highlights. There are no sam mmy sosa or mark maguire moments. I think the opportunity to get back to sports, similar to the way we got back to sports in the aftermath of 9 11 would be a great step to helping america heal from those we have lost and those who we tried to move forward to that more perfect union. Dagen youre right. If you look at what bubba wallace, the only black driver in the nascar cup series has done in terms of making almost instantaneous change in that sport, literally goes on tv and says we should abolish the Confederate Flag at nascar races, nascar turned around and did that. This is happening because theyre in play, the cars are on the track. But to brian, to you on that point, joseph was mentioning after 9 11, i think about the mike piazza home run for the first professional baseball game after 9 11, thats why i think people are upset that the Baseball Players are not on the field. Brian yeah, you look at the situation with Major League Baseball, the players are asking to play more games and the owners are saying we dont want to do that. Play the games. This back and forth in the public isnt helping and youre right, were losing out on something we need this summer, a unifying event. Shame on the mlb for the way theyre going about this and the fact, particularly if the owners cant get onboard it seems with a longer season. Dagen michael lee, final word on this. Mike dr. Dagen thank you so much biden opening a big lead latest fox news poll are he showing he ad valorem Vice President leading President Trump by 12 points nearly two third of biden voters motivated by fear president will win rehe election fox news are contributor karl rove get a to see you, this worked, in President Trumps favor 20162 reverse more than 2015 Backing Trump 61 , than Hillary Clinton, issue said fare motivated them what say you . Well, lets go to whiteboard. Bring it bring it. Bring it i got two. So look, fox poll great, issue wonderful thank you. I am still dubious at this point of picking one poll, and so i look at realclearpolitics average, has shown deterioration of president s position behind if you look at polls into making that up that average up, they range between ab lead 7 a biden lead 14 fox on upper edge that have nonetheless the president has a shown a deterioration in his standing lets be clear, the last time the president was tied, was 30 polls ago on a poll issuing on 29th april, the last time he led was in a poll issued 18th of february emerson poll led by two there the is a reality to this. President is behind. No the ifs, andsor butts about it the president has advancing advantageous whether he takes advantage he has does something in in a systemic disciplined way he is president as a result gets to control the dialog, for example, if the president puts his shoulder strongly behind passing a Police Reform bill gets done republicans and democrats working together that works to his advantage because he is the guy in charge, he main contains strong lead on jobs in the economy even in polls showing him behind biden people say they believe donald trump is better able to restore the economy than is joe biden, and that is a big issue between now and the election day, then finally, the president has the able to, if he focuses on it we will see tomorrow night if going if begin to do this set between what he wants to do joe biden wants to do a ability to exploit biden weaknesses go with things biden said or done that are problems you got to be slipped we are going to see a hint in weekend rally, as to whether or not that otherwise going to happen. We will stay on that in terms of trump v. Bid ann push for more debates Trump Campaign, has tapped Rudy Giuliani to expand number of president ial debates against joe biden president threatened to boycotting all debates last december over alleged bias Biden Campaign speaking out against the move saying we are not going to ride roller coaster of the ever changing Trump Campaign position on debates nor going to be distracted by demands what do you think of this . Well, first of all, there are 137 days left between now and the election. This is not necessarily i think a winning issue to devote a lot of days to for Trump Campaign maybe done a little bit of glad you took about this making it clear, that joe biden doesnt want more debates, but look, the Debate Commission is a quasiindependent group, it is a selfselected group, the board institutes the following board when you resign from board the board replaces you has no influence by outside they are going to do what they are going to do signed an agreement for three president ial debates one Vice President ial debate about little to no chance slim and noun additional babe if i were the president would i be spending time, you made your hepoint move on now start making other points, in the 137 days left, that are going to move people from being undecided or leaning towards biden to move into your camp this aint one of them. Dagen the book, from john bolton, so bolton is fighting the department of justice, over the book, lawyers for the other former natural security adviser claiming doj is in a restraining order is quote regrettable pretechs design to cover up what is a determined political effort to suppress and ambassador bolton speech i think a Court Hearing scheduled later today, karl, so you dont you know from from owed looking in, what President Trump is like, why do these people go and work in the administration and then do this . Well that is a good question. In fact one two of the or three questions that is popped up being criticized from the left by saying okay if you thought you know if if he has so bad when you were in there why did not you speak up. From right if you became convinced he was unworthy of the job why are did you stay legitimate questions, there is also a a problem with these kissandtell books that come out while a president is in office. And that is weve seen a couple the problems there, another problem is that quickly deteriorates into a he said he said effort, for example, in the book, the ambassador bolton makes claims about a meeting with president xi of china supposedly President Trump says you got to help me in my election yet we have other oath in front of House Committee two days ago,the u. S. Trade representative Jim Lighthizer in the same meeting, saying there i was it never that never took place, so you know, every administration has to go through a series of bob wood woodward books woodward gets people to tell things if serving inside administration oftentimes dont appear to have relationship to reality this is sort of a bob woodward written by jane bolton going through same trovrs the passenger of time years from now are we able to really definitively settle out whether some of these are adequately all records come out. Quick does it have impact on the election at all this . No, no, if you like trump before i are go to go like trump now if you didnt like trump before you are going to not like trump now. Again, to me key thing how much time does the white house spend talking about this, 137 days they get to drive home maybe, maybe at least one may be two points for each one of those as the is picking an argument with john bolton going to be the thing that is going to sway people to him . I dont think so, just like i dont think the book is going to sway people against the president. Dagen move along, move along, move along. Not you. You bet. You have a good a weekend. Thanks for having another person own doesnt have accent i listened to other guys sounded like, you know, i mean only you and i and happy juneteenth to you from a fellow texan. Dagen indeed john cornyn senator moving to make that a federal holiday do you think that happens . Though it has been a holiday in texas many years as i may know juneteenth declared in texas general granger galveston june 1865 no knowledge of emancipation proclamation within texas released on this day open address to the former slavers of texas telling them they were free has been a holiday in texas for official state holiday i think better than three decades. Dagen are i just hope this focuses on our knowledge of history, Everybody Needs to know more, about our past. Our present, issue again, gives way to our future, thank you, sir. Thank you dagen. Dagen check on markets this morning dow, nasdaq, s p on track for winning week, futures to the plus side, big time, investors weighing recovery optimism surplus hopes many states begin to reopen in loosening resurgence in parts of the country uptick in cases leading to some concerns of a second wave. Joining me lepore hawkins lived through this crisis in this italy how do you break down the fear versus optimism in the market . Well i think right now it is basically all about optimism there isnt a whole lot of fear as we see the cases in United States continuing to slelt accelerate up market seem totally unimpressed by that i think assumption he hopefully no matter what we see with cases economy dont get located down i think kind of glancing over the realities of what this lockdown has actually meant for the economy, because the markets are trading about where they were last to be, and yet i expect earnings far below what they were back then. Dagen brian. Lenore we talked about expectations, in the market, i think the market is looking at the real economy and saying you know, we opened up some long way for restaurants there is a long way to go for travel there is a lot of upside here if we can continue, to open. Isnt that the case . I know that we have long way to go may be part of the reason optimistic a lot of room to run if we give people a chance to run. Indefinitely a lot of room to run but given the expectations for what the growth is renbly going to look like right now you are paying 20 to 30 more today for s p 500 than you did last october at the same time the uncertainty of a lot higher we dont really know with this we look at real economy about 20 of companies in the United States, are Zombie Companies that means basically dont generate enough cash, to service their existing debt. That is a drag on the future growth of the economy overall. Mike lee . A i dont know if he can hear me, i want to bring up, a dire financial warning, when Bridgewater Associates senator dalio was speaking out on Market Impact of the coronavirus, he said in a note, this week, that stocks would be on verge of a lost decade bridgewater is down 15 , management in march and april, 138 billion dollars from one 53 billion what do you make of what he is saying . I think he is right to be very concerned, one of the biggest issues right now, is like i was saying with 20 companies being Zombie Companies, we have an unbelievable debt load huge burden on economy at federal level unprecedented levels of debt about the at corporate level as well this year alone companies so far issue abouted 57 more debt than they did last year, and that debt isnt being used to invest in future protective capacity it is just meant to keep your headed above water, now what you that means youve got more and more debt that is dragging down future growth, and you are going do have to care that load into the future, means can invest less in the future. Dagen something center of to me pomboy has been talking about a couple years lenore great to see you more mornings with maria right after this. The content crackdown facebook movieing dozens ads from President Trumps Reelection Campaign included karode triangle symbol like one used by nazis to label prisoners in concentration camping used to identify communists far left individuals, Facebook Says company prohibits use of hate group symbols in advertisements unless specifically con dentaling them trump Campaign Says symbol used by antifa joseph what do you say. I mean look the great thing about america is that we dont get to tell you what to believe, but we do get to demand that you be consistent, i think the issue that we are dealing with on all these social media platforms facebook to twitter and the like there is a lack of consistency if you despise triangle think should not be used, that is fine. But when you we need to be consistent on application of that type of editorial of social media platforms so i think again if you are going to come down on President Trump please make sure you come down against isis make sure you come down ooipz antifa if you are not then to do so is simply, to call it bluntly election tampering, dagen mike lee i point out Justice Department, has this week proposed to sharply curtail, the Legal Protections Liability Protections forded large Technology Companies basically free from liability for anything that is posted, on their platforms goes back to the Communications Decency act 1996 are we twoing to get more of this censorship from Tech Companies as that libke the protection moved or less. I think it if it looks dagen i can going to cut you off audio is bad, Brian Brenberg did you hear my question i wanted to ask, because, these companies, these large Tech Companies i am going to point to google working in cahoots with nabout. C news to essentially shut down, the federalist web site, there again, that is the power of these giant monopolies as we move Liability Protections i say we Justice Department may be Even Congress they are in the focus of being broken up, by the right and the left i point to Elizabeth Warren, what do you make of what happens with speech on internet the monopolistic makeup, of these large tech businesses . Yeah, the problem with tech businesses is they are hurting the corn getting right now the reason the doj is taking about this because a lot of companies are editorializing editing making their own judgments whether it is true or false i think this issue with the red triangle is it antifa symbol or not if it is, then what are we talking about your clearly, the campaign was condemning antifa there is stepping into these situations offering their own editorial position, if you are doing that, then the Communications Decency act is something that doesnt apply to you in same way that is the issue, the heart of that you will. Dagen exclamation point on that Communications Decency act liability waiver two years before google was even founded. That that was put into law. To shine a light on how old these regulations are, number one pcht but you the what nbc news did working they were working with a left wing organizes overseas and then went to google to basically deplatform demonetize even shut down, the federalist, so not only is that censorship not only is that unethical it is likely illegal, and smacks of election interference. In a president ial Election Year where is trouj across the board left and right about Foreign Organization with nbc news trying to shut down, speech in this country . It is not going away. Coming up, selecting his ticket new calls for Presumptive Democratic nominee joe biden to choose a woman of clear for running mate Amy Klobuchar bowing out race on Belmont Stakes in action this time, no fans. Senator Amy Klobuchar bowing out minnesota nat does not want to be considered as a choice for joe bidens running mate klobuchar saying biden should choose a woman of color fox news polling out this week, showing that former vp joe biden is holding a steady in his lead over President Trump nationwide, he is 12 points ahead of the president in latest numbers, last minute he was 8 points in front, joining me now 32 advisers founder ceo former economic advisers to president obama Fox News Contributor, robert wolf good to see you good to see you day ago june Amy Klobuchar dropping out, in as a potential Vice President ial pick was she in running. Certainly in running a guess would i not have called top half after george floyd situation obviously, there were things that came out about how she handled it when she was on legal side there. With respect to the to African Americans and police i think spbd incredibly well to those, but i actually also dont think that she would have brought the most to the biden ticket. I think others that o would actually joe biden lead to joe biden about to victory hopeful better way. Senator Kamala Harris former attorney general in california she brings, for better or potentially worse, the her what she did as ag there, value deming, do you have a sense who Vice President might be leaning to i dont have a sense as we spoke before i have known kamala since 2006, she is a rockstar, i think she has an incredible voice she is a great leader, i believe she has a great breadth depth to be ready to be the Vice President and certainly step in, at some point in in you years depending what with a joe biden does in the second term. I think she brings a lot to the party, and i think she brings enthusiasm which is will be a real help to the Vice President. Are. To val demings i dont know hour other than impeachment side she was sheriff in florida a great story seem gaining a lot of momentum i wouldnt can you be the out Elizabeth Warren in time of income inequality brings a different voice to the table something fighting for, for a very long time, from her days as a lawyer but all the way through Consumer Protection agency, but, you know, certainly momentum feels with kamala, i think she would be amazing choice. Dagen i should say congressman val demings also a member of congress always important always most important noonlt Kevin Mccarthy sounding off says in interview i want your reaction yesterday the democrats should consider changing the name of their party, because of its ties to slavery and segregation after House Speaker nancy pelosi would like to remove cop need rather era statutes, and portraits of con need rather leaders. Reaction that is a great whats about here is what i would say to Kevin Mccarthy 435 members in congress, 105 are women, 90 democrats in 54 blacks in congress, 53 democrats, 46 hispanics in congress 37 democrats. I would say Kevin Mccarthy has a series diversity issue, and he should worry about making sure that he looks more representative of the nation i think this whole idea about the confederacy is something this country should take seriously i am in support of taking down statutes but with respect to the to Kevin Mccarthy said i am not going to take bait i think he has own issues which is why we had a blue wave in mid temperatures. Joseph pinion wants to get in. Yeah, robert thanks this to you as always we spoke earlier, in the year, but obviously, postcovid i am concerned a little bit at least maybe not democrats might have a secret committee to reelect President Trump, because, is know when you look at what joe biden seems to be approaching pandering to base with a pick, like abrams or may be following in footsteps of Hillary Clinton choosing somebody that he thinks he might like to work with, ignoring the electoral seems daunting recent polls President Trump is trailing but obviously, on many levels President Trump hasnt begun to fight, so i would love to get your take on looking at, places like pennsylvania, michigan, wisconsin, possibly President Trumps for in minnesota now klobuchar, to remove hers from possible consideration as rnc continues to pour more money into that state as they have last two years. Those are a lot of good topics here is what i would say, we are a little less than five months away a lifetime, today the polls bode very well for joe biden about about nationally and swing states the polls for the president fox polls today were pretty atrocious they dont like the job he is doing approvals upside down, what i you would say we should not look at polls we should start looking at policies, and who is best to lead this country into recovery, i am very confident joe biden and whomever he picks as Vice President , is going to be able to make sure that not the only get the particular vote but in swing states, he comes to the forefront as the person best to lead us so i am dagen i am going to follow up with this 77 days since the former Vice President joe biden held a news conference, would you tell him to get out there he needs to be out there answering questions more . You you know would i say press conference isnt as important recall he was first nominee in the primaries to make sure everyone is fundraisers have press one doing a lot of interviews we should be clear that you know, it is not as if the every tv show every cable every media hasnt been looking at joe, you know since he announced over a year ago, so i think he is probably going to be most scrutinized, in my opinion, candidate we may have ever seen every day you can read, i know stories about joes 40 plus years, answer is yes going to have to work with press but i think has been doing its i dont think the press conference is the answer. I think he justify got to continue to do more and more interviews, and during this time of covid, he actually is working with separations using film by with away had 80milliondollar month raising money so not like and polls certainly have not him but today more dagen about referendum on trump obviously, who is better to lead this country into recovery and things like income inequality. How about former Vice President biden going on fox donning an interview. Well i think he did go on fox didnt he . I think was on Chris Wallaces show few weeks ago. I meant more often. I love to see more often come on you are he preaching to the choir, i have been going on for over a decade, i love to see him go on i think he is going to pick and choose his different venues, my guess going to, you know, go on certain fox shows i am not so sure going to be on hannity tomorrow, but my guess is there are many shows he will go on coming months certainly a lot of surrogates have been done. I can go through a a list of individuals, of journalists who would i am sure gladly interview Vice President biden. I hear you. Dagen what is up with the beard . [laughter] you know, a good question, my mother is not loving it but something i figured i would do if i o come back on tv in person make sure i look more cleancut for you ribbing you because you are my friend its is summer. Dagen delayed parenthood ahead of fathers day first time fathers 27 years old average older today, in total fewer than two children compared to dads late 80s, there were 25 with more than two kids researchers finding that Student Loan Debt could be delaying fatherhood brian what is your say . Well i am a father of three kids, i became a father at age 28 i was definitely one of these guys thought they had to get ducks in a row before you could have kids what i found out doesnt matter how prepared you think you are, you are never prepared for father hooded one of the best parts knock you off your feet challenge you a lot of people have the sense they got everything together you are not going to have everything together you have to dive in, a learning as you go sort of thing. Does median so age 27 years old today, joseph i still think that is really young my dad was 32 in 1969 when mom and dad had me i am oldest in the family but given the pandemic do you think that that this might be changer peoples decisions about starting a family maybe speed it up . Rather than delay . I agree with panelists i think that we sold people dream of the house with white picket fence the dogs, and now, confronting reality that the work requires if acquire trappings of the security that people think they need to have a family a little bit harder to attain i think if we can understand what President Trump is talking about, making that American Dream a little more attainable we should understood why individual like myself have become a statistic decided to have children what pandemic shutdown could do because, you accumulate money but then you cant really spend it you are stuck at home, you realize that value of family, more than money and possessions. I dont know go ahead. Absolutely, i think again i mean for all family will my grandmother in new york nursing home became positive for covid19 so i think a lot ways the crisis has found a way to bring home what truly matters so i think it is possible that we could see, a new age, of a baby boom on people begin to realize, without the distractions how important family really is.
