professor, thank you for joining us. thank you for having me. i read about your lab. you have been doing fascinating work. in the battle against covid-19. from making face shielding to developing new disinfecting systems is that right? exactly right. we have been doing a lot of work trying to harness the ability of uv light to kill bacteria and virus and create systems that can be in hospitals. i know you really both know a lot about the different types of uv light and clarify any misconceptions in the public. the president speculated on the use of two things. disinfectant and uv light. possibly hitting the body with it. that s led to questions. when most of us here uv light we think of the rays from the sun that we try to block. do you think that s what the president was talking about? no. so there s uv light which is a broad category. and within that there s uva and b. which makes it through the atmosphere and the o zone. that s what you think of in skin cancer an
gasoline. and the fire department spokesperson told us what first responders did when they got here to prevent thatfreaking getting any worse. here s what he had to say. we estimate about50 gallons of gasoline spilled. there were a couple different leaks in the taker, our crews plugged those and at the same time contained any that was running off before it got to the potomac river.or rr: we can tell you after the tanker truck turned over there were three passenger cars in kind of a chainct rn that all crashed into that truck. we re told that one of theer dr of those cars was injured. minor injuries ande taken to th hospital. the driver of the truck and the other driver of the other two cars and their passengers were not injured. cause of tass of course, still under investigation. they do not know what caused the tuck ton onto its sides. that will be handled by police. but right no fairfax county and montgomery county fire department are here trying to contain the scene, g
