FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Competing in front of home fans for the first time this season, the Razorbacks had solid performances for the 867 in attendance on the first day of the John McDonnell Invitational.
Nick Hilson supplied a victory in the 400m hurdles, posting a season best time of 50.75 seconds as Cody Johnson of Kansas finished second in 51.46. Hilson sports a career best of 49.92 from 2019 that ranks fourth on the UA all-time list.
The leader through the first day of the decathlon is Daniel Spejcher with a career best score of 4,028 points. Teammate Markus Ballengee is currently in second place at 3,919 while Tyler Brendel is in fifth place with 3,671 points.
