Erie police detectives investigating the shootings of two teenagers in a westside neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon said a unique-looking van suspected of being used in the crime led them to a teenage suspect who now faces adult charges.
Jerico D. Beason, 16, was arraigned Thursday morning on charges including two felony counts of attempted homicide and four felony counts of aggravated assault in a shooting late Tuesday afternoon in the 1100 block of West 11th Street that wounded a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy.
Erie police charged Beason as an adult under the Fisher Bill, a state law that permits juveniles accused of committing violent crime to be charged as adults.
