The defendant, Jashawn J. Eaddy, 17, is now facing more charges in other gun-related cases.
Eaddy has been serving a 40-month period of probation after he pleaded no contest in February to a third-degree felony count of robbery in an Erie police investigation of an armed robbery in April 2019, according to court records.
Eaddy was 15 at the time of that crime but was prosecuted as an adult under the Fisher Bill, the state law that permits juveniles accused of committing a violent crime to be charged as adults. Erie police also charged Eaddy as an adult in the new cases.
Following Tuesday's shooting, Erie police detectives on Thursday charged Eaddy in an armed home-invasion robbery at an eastside residence on Dec. 19 and in the armed robbery of a westside convenience store on Christmas Eve.
