Environmental experts call for proper e-waste disposal
Environment management experts have called for proper and effective management of electronic wastes.
The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, E-Waste Producer Responsibility Organisation of Nigeria and the Nigeria Union of Journalists made this call at the 2020 ITREALMS E-Waste Dialogue held in Lagos on Thursday
The Director-General of the NESREA, Prof. Aliyu Jauro, who was represented by the Head of Port Operations in Lagos, Ezinwayi Udechukwu, said the event was timely as the number of e-waste in the country continued to soar.
The NESREA boss in a goodwill message commended ITREALMS for the dialogue, saying that he looked forward to the outcome of deliberations to be made available to the agency for continued engagement with enlarged stakeholders.
