SAN ANGELO — You could hear the sound of an "I voted" pin drop in the hallways of the Edd B. and Frances Frink Keyes building on Tuesday evening — had there been anyone around to drop one — as early voting in San Angelo came to a close.
The corridors were empty of all but election staff at about 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2021, a stark contrast to the long lines of registered voters who cast ballots during early voting for the November 2020 U.S. presidential election.
"I wish we certainly had more voters coming out," Election administrator Vona Hudson said.
