Edwardsville man faces aggravated DUI charge

EDWARDSVILLE — An Edwardsville man faces felony DUI charges after a Feb. 13 incident.
Mark A. Thompson, 62, was charged Feb. 18 with aggravated driving while under the influence, a Class 2 felony.
The case was presented by the Edwardsville Police Department.
On Feb. 13 Thompson allegedly was found to be driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota while under the influence of alcohol. It was noted that he had prior convictions for similar crimes in 2009 and 2014.
Bail was set at $30,000.
Drug-related felony charges filed Feb. 18 by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office include:
• Christina E. Beegle, 50, of Staunton, was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the East Alton Police Department. On July 18 Beegle allegedly was found to be in possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $15,000.
