Duluth looking for new members of boards and commissions

There are openings on 14 Duluth boards and commissions, and the city is looking for new members.
Director of Administrative Services Chelsea Helmer said most boards or commissions meet once a month, and terms are typically 2-4 years. 
"We have a wide range of options for people. And it's really about what are you interested in. What part of government, what part of your city are you interested in?" Helmer said.

Most don't require experience, although some do like to see industry-specific knowledge. 
"For example, on our Alcohol, Gambling and Tobacco Commission, if you have a background in the hospitality industry, sometimes that can be helpful," she said.
