(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Department of the State Security Service (DSS) has confirmed that its operatives stormed the home of a leader of the Yoruba separatist group, Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a. Sunday Igboho, in Ibadan in order to arrest him.
Addressing journalists at the headquarters of the SSS on Thursday, Peter Afunanya, the service spokesperson, said 13 suspects, including a female and 12 males, were arrested.
Mr Afunanya added that many items like AK-47 guns, 500 rounds of ammunition, pump action guns, international passports were recovered even as 13 people were arrested and bundled to Abuja for prosecution.
