If there ever was an exercise that gave you ALL the bang for the buck, it would be the plank. The simple (looking!) move works a whole lot of muscle groups simultaneously, including the transverse abdominis, rectus abdominis, and glutes. The longer you hold a plank, the more benefits you get, which of course is easier said than done. But, our month long plan will help.
