Dragons, Warriors Ready For State

INDEPENDENCE — Nine Ste. Genevieve and two Valle Catholic High School wrestlers will compete at the Missouri State High School Activities Association state meet this week.
Returning state qualifier Josh Bieser and first-year competitor Brandon Giesler will represent Valle Catholic today at Cable Dahmer Arena.
Nine Ste. Genevieve wrestlers will take the mat on Thursday, spearheaded by six returnees in Dalton McNeal, Gavin Gross, Nathan Selby, Levi Wiegand, Dale Propst and Ryan Schmelzle.
Gage Gross, Bryant Schwent and Ethan Ogden are all first-time state qualifiers for the Dragons.
Both Ste. Genevieve head coach Jared Bonnell and Valle Catholic’s Jacob Gegg are eager for their teams to compete at a new venue.
