The cost of a dog license in Pennsylvania has been the same since 1996, and the state Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement is hurting for funds because of it, say members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly who introduced bills to increase the license fees.
Schwank and Pashinski serve in the leadership of the agriculture committees in their respective branches of the General Assembly.

Both bills are still in the Agriculture and Rural Affairs committees.
"Weâre literally running out of the resources we need to protect dogs and people via the Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement,â Schwank said.
