DeWolf sworn in as Troy's new Police Chief

TROY, N.Y. — The Troy Police Department celebrated a pair of promotions Thursday afternoon at the Franklin Terrace Ballroom.
Succeeding former Police Chief Brian Owens, Deputy Chief of Police Daniel DeWolf was promoted to Chief of Police. Plus, moving up to DeWolf's old position, Assistant Chief of Police Christopher Kehn was promoted to Deputy Chief of Police.
Troy Mayor Patrick Madden spoke to the packed house on hand and emphasized the significance of these appointments.

"Three and a half years ago, in a similar ceremony, I said there is probably no greater responsibility for a mayor than his or her appointment of leadership positions in city government," Madden said.
