Detective reveals identity after copping man's outburst

A Coast man blamed a cranky mood for his outburst towards a shopper who later revealed himself as a police officer, a court has heard.
Leith Michael Oakes was walking into the entrance of Coles, Nambour when he began yelling at a plainclothes police officer leaving the supermarket on March 29.
“(Oakes) … approached the entry and was heard to yell at him, ‘oi wanna chop c..t’,” Police prosecutor James Allen said
The child protection investigation unit Detective initially ignored Oakes who yelled ‘ignore me then you f-----g c--t’.
The plain clothed Detective revealed his badge and searched Oakes for drugs.
