essentially a long running criminal fraud scheme. and i don't say that as an insult. i say it because the company has already been shut down by the federal trade commission and was ordered to pay a $26 million settlement against these fraud claims from the federal government. matt whitaker among other things is believed to have defied that settleme settlement, to not pay back his share of the proceeds from the fraud. he's reported to have dodged a subpoena for his own records and communications with the company at the heart of the fraud. "the wall street journal" has also reported that the scheme is also the subject of a criminal investigation by the fbi, which is particularly awkward since trump has just installed matt whitaker to supervise the fbi. matted whit matt whitaker also reported by "the washington post" to be a material witness, and the ftc is apparently looking at whitaker
