much. tonight police say they will help an 18-year-old saudi woman who fled and alleged abusive family, her social media fees though my pleas for asylum garnering attention around the world this weekend. rich edson is at the state department with more. rich. >> good evening, shannon. thailand has admitted an 18-year-old woman fleeing saudi arabia and her family and now she is under united nations protection. 18-year-old arrived this weekend at bangkok airport. the united nations refugee agency says "the saudi woman told human rights groups and the media that she was stopped at bangkok airport in transit from kuwait and had her passport taken from her. she claims that she fled her family, fearing for her life and had been planning to head to australia where she hoped to seek asylum. after leaving the airport today she tweeted my father just arrived as i heard, which worried and scared me a lot. i don't want to go to another country that i seek asylum in but at least i feel safe now
