crashed into waters off the southern coast of south korea. apparently that in that particular crash there was a report of a fire in the cargo component. so a compartment of that plane in 2011, caused from a cargo fire in the cargo compartment. this would be the third major crash involving asiana airlines. we don't know the extent of injuries nor do we know how many passengers were on board. >> gregg: weather conditions appear to have been calm. partly cloudy skies, light winds, temperatures in the 60s, 9 mile-per-hour winds so fairly calm having lived in san francisco for about eight years. it gets quite windy in the city. it's calmer to the south which is where this airport is located.
