here on "fox business" network, jerry, small business, the republicans say, and the democrats as well, are the key to all of this. what's here for small business? >> well, big tax cut as much as the 50% tax cuts, payroll tax cuts for small business, whether you hire somebody new or you simply raise wages for somebody out there. the administration estimates about 98% of businesses will get this break. so many small businesses. and let me tell you where this comes from. when the president brought out his jobs commission, there was a lot of criticism that it was manned by fortune 500 ceos, ceos of international companies who had done nothing but export jobs over the last decade. they're not hiring people here. when you look at real employment in this country, it's small businesses that do it. i think this actually acknowledges that. i thought it was very interesting within just a couple of minutes of the speech he was already using the phrase, small business, and that's where those jobs have to come from. >> shep: mike is with us, the associate editor of a magazine owned by the parent company of
