Dawn Nell Davis Brummitt, age 63, passed away on January 24, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK. Dawn was born on August 2, 1957 and lived her early years in Great Bend, KS and later moved to Wichita, KS. She attended Riverside Elementary, John Marshall Jr. High School and graduated in 1975 from North High School (where she was a cheerleader). She went on to attend Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1979 with a degree in Physical Education. While at OSU, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority where she made many lifelong friends.
After graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City, OK and went to work at Mustang Elementary School as a PE teacher. In 1987 Dawn moved to Coronado, CA where she took on many fun jobs before spending the last 30 years working with her husband, Scott Brummitt, at Raphael’s. She was loved by all their customers, who were not only customers, but also friends. She enjoyed shopping, playing golf, tennis and had great fun on dune buggy adventures in Glamis, CA with her brother, Larry. Dawn loved deeply and BIG! She loved her fur babies, Princess, Dillon and Ben and loved her many close friends, whom she enjoyed showering with thoughtful gifts. However, her most treasured relationship was with her husband, Scott. They dated for 25 years and have been happily married for the last 6 years. Dawn and Scott recently moved back to OKC to be closer to family and friends.
