Dave McElroy replacing BWAT's retiring long-time general manager Jim Wilson

Blue Water Area Transit’s longtime general manager is retiring this month, and officials have tapped a colleague to replace him.
Jim Wilson had been with the agency for three decades, according to a news release, after joining as general manager in 1990.
Officials credit a list of improvements to the transit system with his tenure, including the development of the $9.8 million downtown Port Huron bus transfer center and growing it from a 21-bus system with 44 employees to a St. Clair County-wide system with 90 buses and a staff of 130. He also separated the county from the SMART bus system, where he’d worked prior, in 1994, establishing the current BWAT.
