Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Thursday said around half of the new infections were in isolation but it is a “cause of concern” the remainder were in the community.
“We can't afford to have people continue to have the virus going about their business,” she said.
The premier said Sydneysiders who are essential workers or are out of the house to buy groceries should “assume you have the virus”.
