A staff member at Grenada Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19 and has been isolated per public health guidelines, although the situation will not affect in-person classes said the school's principal/superintendent GingerLee Charles.
The school received word of the positive test on Monday, and parents and guardians of the students in the staff member's cohort group were sent a notification.
“We are a very close staff, so we all worry about and take care of one another,” Charles said. “This was our first case of an employee testing positive. I am happy to report that they are recovering well and will return to school after the holidays. We care very much about the health and welfare of our school community."
