County expecting 425 doses of COVID-19 vaccine weekly

The number of people who want the vaccine far outnumbers the supply. It will require patience.

Fauquier County healthcare providers will receive 425 first doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine per week over the next couple of months, according to the Virginia Department of Health district office.
Fauquier Health each week will get 325 doses, with another 100 going to Piedmont Family Practice in Warrenton.
The hospital and Piedmont will use the VDH database to contact and set appointments for those who have completed surveys on the health department website.
The county allocation represents Fauquier and Rappahannock County’s share of the population within the five-county Rappahannock Rapidan Health District, which expects 925 doses of the Pfizer vaccine per week.
