Council to vote on making Mackay more bicycle-friendly

Mackay bicycle riders may soon enjoy new additions like hydration and repair stations if council votes in favour of an amendment.
Mackay Regional Council meets on Wednesday to decide whether to approve changes to the Planning Scheme Policy aimed at providing "long-term connectivity between existing cycles and pathways".
If approved, developments would need to comply with the bicycle-friendly changes from March 1.
