VAN WERT – After an extended period of time of non-activities due to COVID-19, Van Wert County Council on Aging director Kevin Matthews is excited to announce that summer day trips and several indoor activities are starting up again, but with very strict restrictions that must be adhered to.
Council on Aging day trips will begin on Wednesday, June 23, with a trip to the Ark Encounter in Williamston, Kentucky. Other trips will include a trip to Port Clinton in order to tour the Maritime Museum, Merry Go Round Museum and Aviation Museum on Wednesday, July 22. Then, on Wednesday, Sept.15, travelers will visit such sites as the Lambright Country Chimes, Dutch Country Market and Wood Shop in the Shipshewana, Ind. area, including lunch in an Amish home.
