Nobles County reports 16 more residents have tested positive for the virus.

REGIONAL — A Cottonwood County resident was among 83 Minnesota residents whose death was reported in the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health.
The resident was between the ages of 95 and 99. No other information is provided.
Among the 83 dead were 30 individuals who resided in private residences, 52 individuals in long-term care facilities and one individual who resided in a group home or behavioral health facility. There have now been 4,658 Minnesotans lost to COVID-19, including 3,034 residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities.
