(Photo courtesy of PRO5) LEGAZPI CITY - The policeman who lost an eye after being hit by a broken glass by a ranking aviation officer filed a frustrated murder complaint against his attacker before the Legazpi City Prosecutor's Office on Monday afternoon. In an interview on Tuesday, Maj. Malu Calubaquib, Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) spokesperson, said the suspect, Bicol Aviation Security Group (Avsegroup) commander Col. Dulnoan Dinamling Jr., has been transferred to the Administrative and Resource Management Division-Personnel Holding and Accounting Section at their Pasay City headquarters. "After he was relieved from his post, he was transferred in the custody of their central office and not here in PRO5," Calubaquib said. On Sunday, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Brig. Gen. Dionardo Carlos, personally checked on the victim, Master Sgt. Ricky Brabante of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5 (RMFB5) and ordered an immediate investigation of the incident. Calubaquib said PRO5 "Regional Director (Brig. Gen. Jonnel) Estomo had already recommended the dismissal and the filing of an administrative complaint against Dinamling and a Special Investigation Task Group was also created on November 15 to investigate the incident that occurred last November 13." The Bicol police chief also conducted a reenactment of the incident to clear up some details. "PNP (Philippine National Police) Bicol, based on the programs and directives of the present administration, is strictly enforcing the law and the molding of discipline in each member," Estomo said. He said PRO5 would extend all the assistance needed by Brabante while hearing of the case is ongoing. (PNA) }
