Conservative wing of RIGOP raffling AR-15 to raise money for 2022 campaigns

Second prize in the March 20 drawing is described as "a Mossberg .12Ga Pump action shotgun." 
The Conservative Caucus — motto: "Ocean State Culture, Done Right" — has launched the raffle at a time when gun control is gaining ground at the Rhode Island State House.
The single largest obstacle to past action on these types of bills was then-House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello, a Cranston Democrat with a consistent "A'' rating from the NRA, who lost his bid for reelection in November.
Key members of new House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi's leadership team have "F'' rankings from the NRA. 
The lead sponsors of this year's gun-control package include new House Majority Leader Christopher Blazejewski and new House Majority Whip Katherine S. Kazarian and Rep. Justine Caldwell.
