Edith Jessie Flanders March 10, 1921-August 14, 2020
Almost 75 years after VP Day (Victory in the Pacific) Edith Jessie Flanders, intelligence decoder, farmer, author, and valued citizen, died peacefully in her sleep at her Casterton home, aged 99.

She had played her part in the war and kept it a secret for well over half a century. She and others had sworn to the Official Secrets Act about the work they did at the Albert Park outpost of Bletchley Park, which brought the war to an earlier end and saved countless thousands of lives.
