>> today closing arguments underway in hunter biden's federal gun trial i'll after we learned that the president's son will not testify in the case, why did the defense decide not to put him on the stand? >> a verdict could come as soon as today, plus former president trump does yet another thing. no former president has done before meet with a probation officer it's a standard part of the process ahead of his sentencing. next it's month we'll talk about what comes next and happening now, a high-stakes meeting in israel, the us secretary of state's sitting down with israel's prime minister pushing for a ceasefire after idf forces rescue four hostages in gaza. >> an array that reportedly killed hundreds of palestinians were following these major development i've been stories and many more all coming in right here to cnn news central we start with breaking news, closing arguments are now underway in the hunter biden trial after calling three witnesses to testify on friday, the defense chose not to call any more today. hey, instead, abruptly resting their case without the president's son taking the stand remember a hunter biden has pleaded not guilty to three charges related to illegally buying and owning a gun while either abusing or addicted to drugs. cnn's paula reid is standing by outside of the courthouse in wilmington, delaware, and paula, we heard the courtroom is packed with hunter biden's relatives. what's happening right now? >> yeah, it was in court for a few hours this morning and i can tell you that the defense side of the courtroom was packed. the first row, the poor secret service agent helping the first lady should have bear. he can barely fit on the bench because it was not tight in that front row. the first lady had on one side of her hunter biden's wife on the other side, we're daughter ashley biden, and then the entire row was filled with close family. the first three rows? absolutely packed with close family and friends and that's notable because that is exactly where prosecutor started their closing arguments. they actually pointed to the gallery and said these people, they don't matter suggesting that they do not want the jury to be swayed by the fact that the first lady of the united states has been sitting in the front row for most of this case and said they were he did a theme of this case which is quote, no one is above the law. then they started to focus on one of the most difficult things that they have to prove here. and that is this idea of knowingly doing something that hunter biden knowingly purchased this guy. and when he knew that he was using or addicted to crack cocaine, and they said, quote, he knew he used crack at the time he bought the gun and in question. >> now, they also said that things that defense attorney because i tried to bring in, like, for example, the fact that they didn't collect the exact type of id that they need for this federal form. >> that is the store did not do that. he said, look, that's irrelevant. other evidence that has come in irrelevant, they say he knew that he had a problem with crack cocaine and they said, look, maybe if you didn't go to rehab, we could argue that he had no idea that he was an addict, but that is not the case. now, he's closing arguments are still underway and will be for a while, but they're telling the jury for the evidence they have presented over the past six days was personal, ugly, and overwhelming from my time inside the court over the last week, i can tell you the evidence has been ugly. it has been personal, but it is ultimately up to this jury as to whether this was overwhelming and proved you want a reasonable doubt. >> and paula, prosecutors revisited particularly to text messages from october of 2018, tell us why so the text messages that hunter biden was sending in the month of october, they are critical evidence because there's no direct evidence, nobody who can testify that they saw hunter biden doing are you? >> using crack cocaine during that month? they have witnesses who can testify to that at other times in 2018. but during the time that he owned the gun, there is no such evidence but he did some text messages for example, to his sister-in-law. and onetime girlfriend, hallie biden re suggests that he was either doing drugs or about to buy drugs. prosecutors have really focused on these specific defense attorneys they have they have said that look, he wasn't necessarily doing drugs. he was trying to avoid seeing hallie. and so he just made these up and there's no proof that he really was, for example, on top of a car doing crack or meeting someone they mickey to buy drugs. so this timeline is significant and today, prosecutors introduced a new evidence that would place him out of 711 that he mentioned in some of these text messages. so this is more circumstantial evidence to bolster the prosecutor's argument that hunter biden was indeed he'd using drugs during the time he owned this god and knew luck. we'll see, we'll see what the jury thinks of it. it is possible, though not probable, we could get a verdict today. >> possible but not probable, are at paula reid, we will be watching and boris, the clock is really taking here is this moves into its final phase. >> yeah, absolutely. it has been a stunning case. we want to break down the details now with senior and senior legal analyst and former federal prosecutor elie honig, le let's take a step back and talk about the key players here and the charges that the president's son is facing yeah. bars. so this case is being prosecuted by the united states department of justice through the special counsel guy named david weiss. few important things to know about him. first of all, he was a longtime federal prosecutor served under doj's of both administrations in 2019, he was nominated to be the us attorney for delaware by donald trump. and important to know he had the support of both of delaware as democratic us senators. he was confirmed unanimously by the us senate. and then in 2023, he was named special counsel by the us attorney general, merrick garland. now let's talk about the charges in this case. he's one of the charges is quite simply that hunter biden possess a firearm while an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance fairly straightforward, rarely, not never, but rarely charged federal crime. that's one of the charges. and then related to that, there's two additional charges that allege hunter biden lied on the federal firearms forums specifically, there's a question that asks, are you an unlawful user of or addicted to marijuana or any other controlled substance and you can see hunter biden circled, know on that form. so those are the three charges facing hunter biden in this case. >> so we're about to watch or at least get reporting from the courtroom because we don't have cameras in there. the closing arguments. what should we anticipate from both sides? so the prosecution closes first and the federal system, then the defense closes, then the prosecution actually gets the last bite at the apple. >> they get to go again in what we call a rebuttal. here's what i think the prosecution is going to stress and the evidence, first of all, a lot of the evidence comes from hunter biden's own words in his memoir, he admits to having the gun. he admits to being an addict. we also heard during the case, the prosecutors called hunter biden's ex-wife, hallie biden, and she testified about finding the gun in his car. she testified that he wasn't drug addict sort of throughout this period. and finally, when the gun was recovered, it was in a pouch and there were traces of crack cocaine or cocaine residue alone phone with the guns. so prosecutors are going to say this is a straightforward case, open and shut, but the defense is going to have its say two and crucial to the defense is the timing, what the defense team for hunter biden has argued is that the prosecution has to show you beyond a reasonable doubt that he wasn't added from the day he bought this gun, october 12, 2018, he only had it for 11 days until the 23rd, so they're going to say prosecution has to prove that he was an addict during that time and that he knew it. that's one of the key pieces of the defense. and also the defense called as a witness. hunter biden's daughter, naomi biden, who testified he had just finished rehab a couple of months before this. she saw him in october 2018, did not directly witness him using drugs. he seemed better. she said, but she was also confronted with some text messages from hunter biden that seem to suggest he was back to using drugs during that time. and that's why the question of hunter biden's mind state in that window is so important. yes. so once the closing arguments wrap up, yep. what comes next? >> so now we are in the stretch run here when the closings are done should be today, the jury will begin to deliberate. we never know how long a jury is going to take the delivery. you and i have been through this oh, yeah. it can be quick. it can come out of nowhere. they may send notes while they deliberate, which would be asking for further legal instructions. they may want to see certain pieces of evidence. they may just have some logistical issues and eventually they will send a note saying, we've reached a verdict at which time they'll come out and announced their verdict. now that could be by the end of the show today, boris possibly, or it could be 23 days for now, juries will take whatever time they're going to take and i do think it's important to keep in mind hunter biden actually has two federal charges pending against him. this is the firearm case. federal court in delaware yeah. >> separately, he has tax fraud invasion cases in california. that case is scheduled for trial in september. so this is only the first of two federal charges against hunter biden elie, as we remember from another high profile case that was concluded fairly recently? yes. >> jury instructions are part of that process. >> the end of the case or is there anything here? here in the jury instruction process that this judge will deliver to the jury that would stand out to you that that could tilt the scale, so to speak, for the jury, the defense wants to jerry to focus on the word knowingly. that's been the key of their argument all along that he has to have known and there has to be proved that he knew he was an addict on those crucial dates. it'll be up to the jury. the gun i'm part of this case, by the way, is conceded by the defense. they are admitting he had a gun. they're focusing all on the knowingly an addict part of this case honig, thanks so much for today, former president trump takes a significant step ahead of his sentencing and his criminal hush money case. >> he'll meet with the new york city probation official, free the pre-sentencing interview. the interview will be virtual trump conferencing in from mar-a-lago, trump attorney todd blanche will also be present, and it will be trump's first meeting. with a probation officials since a jury convicted him of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, seeing a national correspondent, brynn grass is with us now on this story. brynn, what will happen? at trump's probation interview today yeah. >> well, let's first to point out the fact that this is a little unusual, that this is happening virtually briana after a defendant has either pleaded guilty themselves or been convicted of the crimes, this procedure happens all the time. this interview. it happens almost immediately. i mean, this trial just ended a couple of weeks ago but usually the defendant goes actually to the same courthouse where trump had his trial and has the interview face. but as you just pointed out, this is virtual and his defense attorney, todd blanche, will be present, which is also an exception that judge juan roshan has made in this case, but during that interview, this is the chance for the probation officer to get a sense about this person. then the defendant. and essentially write a report that's going to be handed to the judge ahead of the sentencing. and so there's a number of questions that are asked during this interview. questions like the background of that person, the criminal history, du the abused drugs, or alcohol? what is their family background like? >> so these are all the questions that the the report is going to include. >> of course now we're talking about questions being asked of one of the most famous people on this planet that a former president trump. this will also be questions about he might be asked, what do you think you're a punishment should be? and of course, he can plead for leniency, so it could get very interesting. of course, we won't know everything that's it's happening behind closed doors but what i won't tell you is that we do know the trump camp is going to be handing in their own sentencing recommendation by thursday, and then of course, the sentencing is set for july 11. let me just tell you quickly what the trump camp has said about this. he said trump and his team there already taking necessary steps to challenge finch and defeat the lawless manhattan da case. of course, we know also in addition to that sentencing date, next month and appeals is certainly on the horizon. breanna yeah. >> we'll be looking for a brynn. thank you for that report. and ahead this hour on cnn news central, new details about the military operation, the rescue four israeli hostages, but killed scores of palestinians, including many civilians. including, claims idf forces were disguised as hamas fighters plus millions of americans are currently under heat warnings and the heat is building. we're going to tell you when and where air and caitlin clark glaringly omitted from the olympics roster. basketball's wonder woman responds and quite graciously at that. but first breaking news who's out of miami were in massive fire is tearing through an apartment complex as firefighters make multiple rescues, at least to have gone to the hospital in a potentially sinning mr. twist, we're told fire crews found a person with a gunshot wound to the chest. no word on their condition, but we'll bring you details as we learn the most anticipated moment of this election. >> and the stakes couldn't be higher. the president and the former president's one stage moderated by jake tapper and dana bash the cnn presidential debate thursday, june 27th, nine live on cnn and streaming on max trains painted fence. >> what isn't on the schedule train sees the power of del ai and intel hundreds of miles of track clearing the way so you arrive exactly where you belong you have chronic kidney disease. >> you can reduce the risk of kidney failure with parsi mega because their places like to be for seeker can cause serious side effects, including ketoacidosis that may be fatal, dehydration, urinary tract, or genital yeast infection it shouldn't in low blood sugar. a rare life-threatening bacterial infection in the skin of the perineum could occur, stopped taking four sika and call your doctor right away at you have symptoms of disinfection and alerting reaction or ketoacidosis men dulles when they use just for men to eliminate grey, there's a great before and after then. there's the after the after that boost you get when you look and feel your best. and that's why more menchu, just for men it's so easy to get your windshield or place using safe flight, telling people i haven't done it already. my man, let's start off as a ship and grew into a crack and it just keeps going. so what do we do now? >> make more of what your freedom unlimited? in response to the trade rumors, we keep her in about a week. >> we talked about movement. not that's right. not it's right. we talked about moving. no. thank you. >> you could use open-door sell your house directly to them. >> it's easy i guess we're moving qizan, my foot, dr. sanjay gupta, listen wherever you get your podcasts happening right now, secretary of state antony blinken is meeting with israeli prime minister benjamin and yahoo and televisa trying to push for a ceasefire and hostage deal with hamas tomorrow. >> blinken will be meeting with benny gantz, who resigned sunday from israel's war cabinet in protest of netanyahu's failure to secure such a deal. also, this weekend is israeli forces launched a set of daytime raids in gaza to rescue four hostages who were held in two locations nearby one another in nuiseirat, at least one idf officer died during the raid. will scores of palestinians were killed in the operation and many, many more injured. i'm joined now by cnn military analysts and retired air force colonel cedric leighton you can see as we look at this here, we look at the rescue you can see part of this operation and give us a sense here of the planning that this takes, but also the risks to civilians and to those carrying it out. >> yeah, briana, this is absolutely from that standpoint, an amazing operation because what they had to do was take a lot of intelligence. and as you see, the helicopter lifting off the block macaque lifting off their the group known as show you a tip 13, which is, one of his reals counterterrorism outfits. i had to work together with other elements of the idf with the israeli security agencies. i would like shin bet with domestic intelligence service, and they needed to find out exactly where these hostages were. and did that very fact made it really difficult for them to really figure out because right here, you have a rod, which is the place where this operation took place. so we're talking about an area that is basically at the borderline between the israeli advance and the hamas-controlle d areas and whether or not they want to tell you they had so much control these are all hamas controlled areas. and that is really a very challenging aspect to this operation because it's a very crowded place and it's an area where it was very be very difficult to get in there. and the way they did it was in part they disguise some of their operatives has actually helped being hamas fighters. >> well, that's i wanted to ask you about that. that's reporting this coming to it's from cnn analyst barak ravid of axios reporting that some in the idf were wearing basically civilian palestinian garb some were also dressed as hamas fighters. is that problematic at all? >> well, in these kinds of operations, we've done similar things in the us as well for britain counterterrorism operations. so it is a common practice for anti-terrorism forces to use that kind of a disguise to go into an area he had now from a law of war standpoint, a law of armed conflict standpoint, it could potentially be problematic. but in this particular case, it was a counterterrorism operation and it was fit within the norms of that kind of operation. >> so we see, for instance, this aerial this appears to be where you have the three hostages because there were the three men and then the one woman kept separately. just tell us what we're seeing here. >> so what you're seeing here is the troops dancing forward from sayyed 13 into the helicopter. they are taking into here you see the extraction. this is basically what's happening. they've safely transported the hostages to them that helicopter. helicopter takes off very quickly. and of course, the one thing that they want to avoid is fire on these elements right here. these military elements of these troops moving forward with the hostages as well as they don't want the helicopter to be fired upon as well. so there are all kinds ends of efforts being made to make sure that none of the firing takes place from the hamas sayyed, or they can counter it. and that's basically what the israelis did in this particular case. >> it's out of frame, is actually the us built pier that is bringing in supplies. and you can see another video, the supplies coming in the us has been very clear. they were not involved in the actual execution of this though there was some intel planning that they were involved then here, the destruction is just awful. i mean, we look at the pictures here, differing accounts of the death toll depending on who you're talking to. but even the idf is admitting but there are pretty big death toll here. so let's talk about what that means, especially during a daytime raid that's part of why we're seeing this. yeah. one of the big problems for planning, one of these operations is that if it's in the middle of a populated area, it's going to be very hard to extract a hostage that you're trying to get released and what you see here is really the destruction that results from something like this. what the israelis did was once they got in, once they knew exactly where the hostages were, once they deployed their vehicles, and moved into the area. they also used air power, being bombs to go after this area in an essence, what they were trying to do is create a whole field of fire that prevented the hamas fighters from firing at them so in essence, they're creating what amounts to the equivalent of a smokescreen? to prevent the movement of hamas fighters into an area where they could potentially go after the israeli forces coming in. the israelis on the other hand, of course, want to extract the hostages and they don't want to be interrupted by hamas shooting at them or potentially killing the hostages. >> so all of this, and we've mentioned tony blinken is pushing again. it feels again right over and over again this push by us officials as well as other partners in this peace process yes. or an attempt at some kind of ceasefire it does the idf factor at all into that when they're looking at something like this. i mean, are they are they thinking at all about what this could mean for a potential ceasefire proposal at the highest levels of the idea if they absolutely should be looking at this because that's where the military and the political melt and that is one of the key things. so you have the different phases here. the first phase being the withdrawal of the idf forces, the exchange on in the second phase of palestinian prisoners for the hostages in phase three, of course, the reconstruction of gaza. so that's all of this is very much long-term it, by the time you get to phase three, but for phase one, what the israelis need to do is create the condition so they can safely withdraw idf forces while maintaining the security of israel that should be their primary goal right now and operationally, that goes beyond the planning of a hostage rescue operation. but the way they conduct those hostage rescue operations should be done with this in mind, you've gotta be able to do this safely. the more long term i'm approach or long-term thinking is necessary in order to achieve the kind of peace goals that we have in the ceasefire proposal it's incredible to see these hostages with her family please. >> it's also very hard to grapple with the cost to civilian life in gaza. so thank you so much for taking us through this kernel. we appreciate it, but pre-chorus as the war in gaza rages on the political and diplomatic dilemmas for president biden are now coming into sharper focus for months. the biden administration has struggled to walk a fine line between supporting israel against hamas as the death toll continues to climb in gaza. and the white house ramps up pressure to get both sides to agree to a ceasefire deal. but fallout from israel's rescue operation, as well as the resignation of the country's top war cabinet minister appear to be complicating biden's efforts to engineer an end to the war with us. now as cnn politics senior reporter, stephen collinson, steven, thanks for being with us. there's no doubt that the white house is also looking at this conflict of the prism of november's election. >> that's right. and the white house is saying that the peace plan that the president laid out last week but cedric was talking about there, there is even more important now after after the events of the weekend, it's the only way to stop these civilian deaths and to get the hostages back the problem is, is that the aftermath of the raid throughout the region and the united states the resignation of benny gantz all of this can make it more difficult for the white house house to get this plan approved. and the fact that prime minister netanyahu is going to be relying more on right-wing members of his coalition means that even if he did agree to this deal, it would be more well difficult for him to get it through and the arab states on which the united states is relying to pressure hamas have already said the egyptians for example, that what happened to the weekend makes it more difficult for them politically to get behind this latest usp shuttle i wonder as we've seen, president biden take a number of steps since october 7, after mistakes and attacks like the ones that we've seen that have created a large amount of civilian deaths are people potentially overestimating his ability to influence what netanyahu does because netanyahu has remained defiant even in the face of attempts at incentivizing a two-state solution through normalization of relations with saudi arabia. >> he remains adamant that he's going to prosecute this war the way that he sees there are big questions about whether this point prime minister netanyahu or hamas have a political interest in moving towards a ceasefire some people, some cynics and washington suggests that netanyahu wants to pull up hong this war, as long as possible, because his own political situation is very delicate. there'll be an accounting for what happened on october 7 at the end of the war and his in a difficult position himself politically perhaps he wants to try and run out the clock. so he can see what's next. in the united states, who the next president? so you can expect more support from potentially a second trump administration that he could from a second biden administration. so this is all very bound up. the problem with all of this, of course, s that >> they're tagged with priceline vip family. you can unlock deals five times faster. you don't even have to be an actual family. >> i'd be the dad on the day physically, it's clear that i'm the dad. >> okay. >> so which data is paying you you will see today cause the bike riders must sing summer movie i can't have those colors on. it here you'd have to kill me. to get this jacket on don't want trouble here. now they kill lina. what about the bottom on it metro fi x to exhilarating for stars that film that delivers like good fillers on harley davidson scan and less. >> the mark reuters sweeter dollar only beaters june 21 arthritis, pain. >> we say not today. tylenol, eight-hour arthritis pain has two layers of really the first dispatch, the second is long-lasting. we give you your day back so you can give it everything. tylenol. number one, doctor recommended for arthritis pain there are giant because they work in a place where they can grow, where they can learn the skills to build careers as pedal the full list of these we build to. >> because it takes one to build one at morgan stanley old school hard work meets both new thinking to help you see untapped possibilities. and relentlessly work with you to make them real we had to take our old gas heating and radiant heat that was a really, really huge project who has the type as a toddler mom, i do not. i was so overwhelmed. so i started contacting people off of the edge to be able to see contractors that are licensed and real people reviews to work with people that obviously knew what they were doing. it was a game changer, connect with skilled professionals to get all your home projects done well, get started today at angie.com. >> oh, karni asada. >> it's gotten me. i saw them. >> that's what i said. >> god, agnes saada, carnegie got to me carnot, but with more flavored, got any karni ultras your sunscreen is still on the clock. >> vital sun protection goes six layers deep, blocking 97% of burning uv rays. it's light, but it's working hard her uncle's unhappy. i'm sensing an underlying issue. it's t-mobile. it started when we tried to get him under a new plan. but they they unexpectedly unraveled their “price lock” guarantee. which has made him, a bit... unruly. you called yourself the “un-carrier”. you sing about “price lock” on those commercials. “the price lock, the price lock...” so, if you could change the price, change the name! it's not a lock, i know a lock. so how can we undo the damage? how much does the judge usually take into account this report? and in particular, the fact that the probation officer is going to ask trump about his convictions and trump it's really not shown much remorse with them. how is that going to play out yeah. >> well, i'm glad to be with you. >> this is an important report and i think that's why you see the president agree in a former president grant to participate in it with his lawyer, even though they're doing it remotely. and that's expected, frankly, because it's logistical nightmare. where to move him around and get him to new york to meet face-to-face with a probation officer. so this information will be relied upon by the judge. the judge takes a great emphasis of places, great emphasis on what's probation department will tell him about trump, about things that were said. it's a chance for trump has hello himself or hurt himself. he helped himself. if he says, look, i maintain that i did not do anything wrong. i'm going to appeal. that's this is a normal process. he won't be punished for that. he would be punished for things if he continues to be defiant about the judicial process, about how there was nothing that went right about have you specific witness comments are certainly if he made any threats toward people of those kind of things. a judge i think would frown upon, but i do think it's a chance for him to say some things that would help him a lot of this is history gathering and the probation department doesn't know if you think about just a normal criminal defendant. they don't know as much about that person as they know about the former president we know pretty much everything. about him some stuff we he may say we believe some stuff we don't. so it's not going to be this is not a little bit as important about digging into his background as it is going to be painting an image of the person is going to be coming before the court, ultimately be sentenced soon on these felony charges. >> the da will also submit a sentencing memo to the judge. what are you expecting the da's going to recommend alvin bragg here yeah. >> i think they'll recommend some type of jail time. i think they have to to sort of justify the position they took in bringing the case at all. and remember, this is a very novel case, is the first time we've seen something like this where they've sort of co-main the federal and state statutes. so in order to ramp it up to a felony so not to sort of justify that tactical decision that they made, they're going to have to i think suggest some type of more significant punishment than just probation, whether or not the judge does that. we don't know yet, but that but i think you'll see that and i think you'll see them make repeated references to the violations of the gag order. i think it's likely that you'll see them make references to comments that he has made, either in the on social media or some of his rancid he went on after court. i'm sure they had those transcribed or he's attack the court process and the judge and they go say, this is somebody who show no remorse, no acceptance of responsibility nothing to indicate that a more lenient sentence would be appropriate here. and part of sentencing is to sort of get somebody's attention it so this is the only way to do it so it'll be he is a little bit like buying a car, somebody goes in with a low ball, somebody goes in with a high ball. they're both open. the judge will get somewhere in the middle ground. the question will be, does that middle ground meet some type of supervised sentence? again, i don't think it's going to be jail. i think it could be placed him under house arrest for a weekend or two, perhaps but that's, that's going to be the ultimate the judge's decision and completely in his discretion at this yeah, it'll be very interesting to see where the judge lands on this michael moore. >> great to have you. thank you. >> scraggly, when you thank you it's still ahead. >> it's not even technically summer yet. and yet parts of the us are seeing triple-digit temperatures, loved the latest on when we could see relief next hey mom, how many should i decorate? >> it's a pretty widespread area when you look at it, you've got some of these that stretched from new mexico all the way back into northern california. you've got heat advisories, excessive heat, watches and warnings for several of these areas, and that does include the city of phoenix. now, what's interesting about phoenix? because it's not just one or two days. they've had 14 consecutive days of those temperatures being in the triple digits. and it's not going to end any time soon. they're also not alone when you look at los vegas, they've had 11 consecutive june days of those temperatures above triple-digits. but when you look at the forecast, there is a 70% chance of them can maintain painting those triple-digit temperatures for at least the next several days, maybe even a few weeks, the record for them is 25. they may very well get to that record. the more interesting thing too, about las vegas is normally this time of year, their average is 98. they shouldn't even have one day of triple-digit temperatures. but when you look at the forecast every single one of the next seven days, those highs are expected to be in the triple digits. now, a lot of that is this heat dome right here. you can see all of these areas under it. that's where the focus is really going to be for those temperatures that are not just above average by a few degrees, but in some cases record-breaking temperatures now for some areas it's going to be an upper been down take sacramento, for example, still above today really above tuesday and then we start to see that coming back down on wednesday. but phoenix, vegas and palm springs all looking at those temperatures, steck to continue, continue to go up over the next couple of days. >> allison chinchar. thank you so much for the update. probably a good idea to grab a cold drink while you're out there. briana? >> well, guys, it depends on who you ask and maybe it depends on whether or not you believe in conspiracy theories, but certainly there are a lot of people who are arguing that it is a snub for example, she is just had a record-breaking college career. she's made an incredible start in the league as a rookie. her stats for a rookie off, the, charts? and of course we all know that she has single-handedly transformed the interest in the wnba in just a matter of weeks. she is no doubt about it. the most famous and arguably one of the most talented female basketball players in the world right now. and arguably she is one of the most famous female athletes in the world right now. then there is the other camp, which says, look, this is a team game. you can't make it all about just one player. remember she has just had an insane college season, no break leading into the wnba. now, she's on a grind of a schedule and maybe a few weeks, we'll do her some good. so maybe this is actually for the benefit of caitlin clark and she will be in an mpn one de and of course, the next games are in la in 2028. those who say it's a snub would say that's her choice to make if she doesn't want to go to the olympics because she needs a break. let her make that decision, but perhaps that decision has been made for her. caitlin clark has spoken about it this is her perspective honestly notice appointment. >> i think it just gives you something something to work for. you know, that's a dream, you know, hopefully one day i can be there i think it's just a little more motivation you remember that and, you know, hopefully in four years when four years comes back around, i can be there. call on the bus and she texts me to let me know and i just tried to keep her spirits. i mean, the thing she said was a coach, they woke them on sr, which i thought was awesome. >> yeah. clark has also said, guys that she'll be spending the time if she doesn't go to the olympics in the gym, getting yourself bigger and stronger and tougher and presumably even more awesome as a player. >> they have a woken, a monster. >> well, according to her coach, don riddell, thanks so much for the update. >> appreciate it. >> still to come a hunter biden's defense team now making its final case to the jury before they begin deliberations, were live from the courthouse right after this russia for trying to spy on us we were spying on them. >> i'm sorry, frank this is a the secret was secrets and spies. >> a nuclear game sunday at ten on cnn. it's so easy to get your windshield replaced using safe flight wanted you just get a fixed. all right. so what do we do now let's schedule an appointment as safe light.com told me is here at the beach schedule a free mobile service at safe flight.com that we it's like we place they say we should stop eating so much meat so we may meet out of plants because we aren't quitters impossible we're solving the meat problem with more meat. if you're shopping for a home realtor.com, real choice financing lets you choose from up to three independent lenders unlike some apps that push you to use their mortgage company really, really trust the number one app, real estate professionals trust. here's two getting better with age. here's the beaten these two every thursday helped fuel today with boost type protein, complete nutrition, you need without the stuff you don't so here's two now you made to find inner peace we were made to track flight prices to paradise arthritis pain we say not today. tylenol, eight hour arthritis pain has two layers of relief. the first fast, the second is long-lasting. we give you your day bag so you can give it everything. tylenol number one, doctor recommended for arthritis pain cities, industry-leading global payment solutions help their clients move money around the world seamlessly in over 180 countries and help a partner like the world food programme as they provide more than food to people in need. together, city in the world food programme empower families across the globe doug lima someone needs to customize and save hundreds and car insurance would liberty mutual, let's fly nag. i thought you were right behind me. >> only pay for what you need labor day from roger two. we there yet so many ways to save life, ready?
