CLEVELAND, Ohio — Members of the Cleveland Landmarks Commission on Thursday expressed concerns about designs for a proposed new apartment building and hotel next to the Veterans Memorial Bridge in the city’s Ohio City neighborhood.
None of the commissioners present expressed opposition to the project concept during a presentation by the designers for Bridgeworks at West 25th Street and Detroit Avenue. In fact, one commissioner, Bob Strickland, said he thought it was a “wonderful project.”
Rather, Chair Julie Trott said she felt that the size of one of the proposed buildings felt too large compared to what is already there.
