Clemson, SC—-Clemson junior Chloe Holder fired a five-under-par 67 on Tuesday to lead Clemson to a five-under-par team score and a third-place standing out of nine teams after 36 holes of The Blessings Collegiate at The Blessings Golf Course in Fayetteville, Arkansas.(Note host school Arkansas has two teams in the field.  The Arkansas B team does not count in the team rankings, but their scores count in the individual standings).The tournament is televised by The Golf Channel with coverage running on the network on Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm eastern time.The ninth-ranked Clemson team improved by 20 shots and four positions in the standings from its 303 team score on Monday.  Clemson  stands with a 586 team total through 36 holes.  Host school and third-ranked Arkansas has a 14-shot lead entering the final round with a 565 total.    Mississippi State is in second place at 579, seven shots ahead of the Tigers.   Fifth ranked South Carolina is in fourth place at 589, three shots behind the Tigers.Holder, a native of Anderson, SC and a Wren High School graduate,  made eight birdies and had three bogeys in scoring his 67, tied for the second best round of the day by anyone in the 50-player field.   She shot a five-under-par 31 on the back nine, best in the field on Tuesday.   It was her second round of 67 this year as she also shot that number in the first round of the Cougar Classic on September 11. Holder was Clemson’s non-counter in the first round with a 78, then fired the 67 on Tuesday to jump into 10th place with a 145 total.Savannah Grewal also made a strong comeback on Tuesday.  Clemson’s top golfer had an opening round 77, then improved to a one-under-par 71 in the second round.  The Clemson graduate was four-under-par through 15 holes and finished the round with five birdies.  Grewal is in 19th place after 36 holes.Sydney Roberts was a third Clemson golfer to score par-or-better on Tuesday,  a round in which the average score was 74.46.  Robert had four birdies and four bogeys and stands at 146 after 36 holes, good enough for 12th place.    She is making her 2023-24 season debut.Annabelle Pancake was Clemson’s fourth counting score on Tuesday.  The All-ACC player from Indiana shot a 73 and played the last five holes at two-under-par.   Pancake stands at 150 after two rounds, good enough for 26th place.Isabella Rawl shot a 74 on Tuesday and stands in 23rd place in the individual race giving Clemson four players in the top 25. She had an opening round 75.
