City to amend contract with city assessor

CHEBOYGAN — The City of Cheboygan will be moving forward with an amendment to the contract with its assessor, as Clayton McGovern would like to move on from his position with the city.
"It's something that we had discussed for many years, that he would get out when I got out," said Cheboygan City Manager Tom Eustice.
Eustice is listed as the Cheboygan City Assessor and McGovern has a contract with the city to assist Eustice in that capacity. Eustice is scheduled to retire from the City of Cheboygan, as city manager, at the end of the month.
