The sidewalks that stretch around the outskirts of Bardstown that have proven to be so popular to local residents could be extended if the city gets approved for a grant from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for federal money through a Transportation Alternative Program.
City engineer Jessica Filiatreau told the Bardstown City Council Tuesday night the 80/20 matching grant would extend the sidewalk on the south side of Templin Avenue that currently ends at the Wellington subdivision to the new Bardstown Primary School.
