Court documents allege the murder-accused stole a man's car from Akaroa, robbed a second man of his car in Christchurch, and gave false information to police.
They also allege he robbed a third man of a car and cellphones, used a weapon to cause the man grievous bodily harm, and strangled the man by applying pressure to his throat and neck. The offending against that man allegedly happened on Friday.
Hawkins, aged in his 50s, lived alone in a unit at a new social housing complex managed by the Ōtautahi Community Housing Trust, which opened in January.
The former Mongrel Mob member was charged with family violence related offending in March and released on electronically monitored bail in early April.
